at the BBC London late team, have a Good evening. If you cast your mind

back a year, we had temperatures are the high twenties, near record-

breaking. No repeat, I'm afraid, for the coming weekend. But the

weather has been Qaeda today. Just as dusk -- scattering of showers.

This next weather front moving southwards does not give a great

deal of rain. It will be followed by scattered showers. Most of us

could see one or two showers. A few showers will give their way along

the south coast tonight. We will have the band of rain. It is patchy

in nature but a few sharper bursts of rain across the Cumbrian fells,

into the mountain of Wales. Lifting the temperatures a little bit, not

asked chilly as last night. They could be low cloud over the Trans

Pennine routes in the morning. It could be damp, not a great deal of

rain because it will move through. To the south, a brighter start.

Some sunshine with some valley mist, at least to start with. Already the

cloud is with us further west and rain which could be heavier over

Dartmoor and Exmoor, as it cut across the Welsh mountains as well.

It does not look like it will be rainy. Already the brighter weather

will start across the north-west of Wales and into the Isle of Man and

Northern Ireland. More showers that we have seen to date and a pretty

brisk wind will pick up. Neil -- near -- near gale force in the

Highlands and Islands of Scotland. There will be the odd rumble of

thunder. One of two showers will make their way across to eastern

Scotland. The showers get into northern and western parts of

England, one or two across the Pennines and into to but -- and

into Wales. The weather front drags its heels across the south in the

afternoon. By Saturday the low pressure starts to move away. For

the majority, a dry, bright day. We do have more rain on the way for

Sunday. Saturday dawns on a rather chilly note, a little bit of mist

and fog around. Elsewhere the shower risk fails and we should

have dry and bright weather. A little bit of sunshine. As the high

pressure ridge drifts away we get low-pressure coming in, strong
