Good evening. From wet to wintry, that is the way we are heading in

this forecast. Good news, it will turn dryer for all of us over the

next few days. It will turn colder, frost and fog and eventually some

of us could see some snow. In the short-term, we still have rain

around, some heavy rain earlier on in the day. There are showers

peppering north-eastern parts of England, that is not particularly

good news. We are not expecting a lot of rain, it will not help, is

it? If you have concerns about flooding in your area check out

your BBC local radio station for details. Further showers blowing in

on the brisk and chilly northerly wind. Where the skies are clearest

in Northern Ireland and western Scotland a touch of frost, further

showers across the north of Scotland could mean icyness here

too. A cold night and cold day tomorrow. The brisk northerly

continues across eastern parts of Scotland England and Wales it will

carry showers to north-eastern parts of England. Dry weather to

many other parts of the UK with some sunshine. Mid afternoon some

wintry showers across the highlands giving a light covering here.

Shouldn't cause any problems. The central belt lots of sunshine, two

degrees in Glasgow. Bright and crisp across Northern Ireland. A

clutch of showers through north- eastern parts of England. They will

move through quickly on the wind. Odd shower across eastern counties,

plenty of sunshine further west. The winds will be lighter. With

lighter winds and clearer skies tomorrow night the frost will

become more widespread. Quite a sharp frost too particularly out

west. Wintry showers to eastern parts of England as we start the

day on Thursday a cold night followed by another cold day on

Thursday. Where we start with some early morning fog patches they

could linger all day in some places keeping the temperatures well down,
