outlook shows a lot of fine weather continuing on into Monday, and if

anything a little bit warmer. Good evening, plenty of heavy

showers and thunderstorms over the last few days, and that showery

theme continues for the next 24 hours or so. Here is a picture from

Friday afternoon taken by one of our Weather Watchers in Buckinghamshire,

hail and thunderstorms too, and the satellite image shows the speckled

cloud across England, Wales, Northern Ireland. Across the

north-east of England and Scotland, or cloud producing more persistent

rain, not particularly heavy, but wet weather across much of northern

and eastern Scotland and north-east England. Elsewhere across the

country, the heaviest showers and thunderstorms fade away, so things

become largely dry and clear by first thing Saturday morning, and it

will be a fresh start, although frost free during the morning.

Saturday morning, by nine o'clock some wet weather across northern and

eastern Scotland, brighter skies to the South West of Scotland, Dumfries

and Galloway. A few showers across northern England and Northern

Ireland to start your day. Across Wales and the south-west of England,

some sunshine, equally a few showers, but that nine in the

morning fairly few and far between. Largely dry for central and

south-eastern parts of England and East Anglia. As we headed through

the day, then, as things warm up, cumulus cloud building up, bringing

further showers. It and miss, but by the afternoon some showers

potentially heavy and thundery. Parts of East Anglia and the far

south-east probably avoiding the showers, for much of the day, but

elsewhere frequent showers and temperatures in the mid teens. By

the time we get to Sunday, though, rain clears from the North of

Scotland, showers fade away from most parts of the country, just

patchy rain for the West of Scotland and Northern Ireland. But in the

sunshine, with light winds, 20-21d. So we weekend of two halves.

Saturday, plenty of heavy showers, the odd thunderstorm. During Sunday,

though, more sunshine, a few showers around, and it will feel warmer.

That warming trend continues into the new working week. Monday, high

pressure sitting out to the east, low pressure starting to build in

from the West, drawing in a southerly breeze, so a bit of rain

across north-western parts of the country, further south-east

temperatures up to 23.
