You would expect strong sunshine at this time of year, but it has been

stronger than you would normally expect, and that continues tomorrow.

It has been the hottest day of the year so far. I suspect we might beat

those temperatures tomorrow. We have had made 20s for many, barely a

cloud in the sky. This is how it looked in Cornwall this afternoon,

and a beautiful sunset as well. We have clear skies overnight, but it

will not be cold. We could be looking at a near record-breaking

night temperature wise in Scotland overnight, very muddy. There could

be some fog towards the North Sea coast, but the main talking point is

the heat again. The temperatures will soar tomorrow. Lots of sunshine

to be found. We may see the old cloud developing across the western

side of Northern Ireland. But for most of us it is dry and sunny and

hot. A little fresh around the coast, but even there the sunshine

will be just as strong. Then, the change. It looks as if we will see

some thunderstorms moving in on Friday night, into Saturday. Some

fine weather ahead and behind, but it looks like a wet day for Northern

Ireland and western Scotland, with some torrential downpours later in

the day. But there will still be a lot of dry weather, and we are

starting to lose the humility. The showers and thunderstorms continue

to rumble on, we continue to lose the heat. It becomes more

comfortable into Sunday, but it is a slow process. A bridge of high

pressure in the North. Sunday will be an improving picture across

northern areas, but the heat builds again in the south later. We could

get some thundery rain. Then there is uncertainty as to how quickly it

clears away. Elsewhere, it looks dry and fresher. It is still all to play
