Good evening. Like it or not, our heatwave has been and gone. It

doesn't look like hot weather will be back for quite some time.

Certainly not on the scale we saw yesterday, where many places got up

into the 20s, but even the mid-30s across parts of the South. What a

difference a Day makes. We've brought in fresh air from the West

and shaved a good 10 degrees off some of those temperatures. As the

change took place a few others saw thunderstorms. Plenty more had quite

a quiet day, if rather cloudy one, with some limited sunshine. Things

are getting a little more lively generally because of this curl of

cloud pushing in from the Atlantic. An area of low pressure and a

frontal system moving across Northern Ireland, Scotland and

northern England through the night, bringing some outbreaks of rain.

Some of the rain could be heavy, accompanied by fairly strong and

gusty winds. To the south of that, staying dry through the night and

wherever you are much cooler, fresh and light than we've been used

recently. Tomorrow, damp start across the northern half of the

country. The band of rain thinks erratically southwards and settles

in across northern England, parts of the North Midlands and Wales through

the middle part of the day. To the north of that, for Northern Ireland

and Scotland things will brighten up tomorrow nicely in the afternoon.

Fairly breezy with a few showers into the far north-west. Quite gusty

winds possible along the line of the weather front but across north-east

England and North Wales probably largely dry, the rain mostly

confined to the hills in the West. A bit of sunshine across the

south-west. Generally clouding over across the East Midlands, the

south-east, as we go through tomorrow afternoon. I will weather

front continues the journey south and east through into Saturday. It

will not be moving quickly. It will get stuck across the southern areas

on Saturday morning. It could be a damp start for some in the south on

Saturday, including Glastonbury. Rain will not amount to much and it

should clear away. There will be some spells of sunshine, showers as

well, a blustery day. They could be gay is across parts of Scotland and

a cool day, 14 in Glasgow, 23 London -- there could be gales across parts

of Scotland. Never a warm wind direction, there will be a lot of

dry weather comes some showers towards the north-east. The weekend,

it will be fresher, quite breezy with some rain at times. Equally,
