Good evening. Today has brought the

perfect recipe for some ice.

Firstly, we had wintry weather

towards the south-east. Rain, sleet

and snow which took a while to

clear. Then we added wintry showers

speckled across the north and west.

And then the final ingredient, some

sunshine to close out the day. A

beautiful scene across the Malvern

Hills. With clear skies overhead and

a lot of wet weather and snow lying

around, there is potential for some

ice during this night as

temperatures drop away. I is

especially towards the south where

we have rain, sleet and snow. Where

we continue to feed wintry showers

in from the north and west. Just

about all of us will drop to

freezing or below. Fog across

Northern Ireland could be very

reluctant to cleared through

tomorrow but for the vast majority

tomorrow after that cold start, a

sparkling winter 's day. Still

wintry showers into northern

Scotland. 1 degrees in Glasgow, that

is your lot. Sunny spells in

Northern Ireland. There could still

be freezing fog patches even into

the afternoon. For England and

Wales, largely sunny skies. Not

doing much for the temperatures,

three, four, 5 degrees. Cloud and

patchy rain into the far south-west

later in the day won't come to much,

if the fizzle away. So Thursday

night, tomorrow, will bring another

widespread frost, perhaps even

colder. Then into the early hours of

Friday, rain moving into Northern

Ireland, some central areas of the

country. Snow temporarily. Then as

we move that weather system to

northern England and southern

Scotland we could see some snow,

even at fairly low levels. We'll

keep you posted on details as it

develops. To the South something

milder develops on Friday. We take
