Hello, so we're very nearly done

with Friday's weather. Not a bad day

for many parts of the British Isles.

Out towards the east there was quite

a supply of showers edged along by a

noticeable north north-westerly

wind. Generally speaking the further

west you drifted the more likely it

is you stay dry for the greater part

of the day. Go too far towards the

west and some will have already

encountered this weather front which

is spilling in from the Atlantic.

Clouds thickening through the

afternoon into Northern Ireland. It

already produced rain across western

Scotland through Northern Ireland,

into parts of north-west England,

Wales, and it's flirting with the

Southwest as we speak. Because the

rain is falling onto somebody called

down around freezing, if not below.

Quite far south, even south of

Birmingham, there could be a problem

with ice first thing until the

temperatures begin to pick up a

little. That's one of the clues

about Saturday's weather. It will

stage. There will be bits and pieces

of rain and drizzle falling from

that just about everywhere.

A ridge of high pressure tries to

build across the country. Conditions

on Sunday will slowly improved.

Though the day will start cloudy and

rather damp. Cloudy and damp mainly

towards the east but by afternoon

breaks in the cloud to allow

brightness through. The best of

which will be further towards the

West, but still feeling cold. Highs
