Dominic Heale and me, Kylie Pentelow. Our top story tonight:

:00:03.:00:09.

Schools on alert over the online grooming of children. A man, posing

:00:09.:00:18.

as a youngster, has been befriended by hundreds of pupils on Facebook.

:00:18.:00:22.

I accepted thinking that he was coming to this school. He started

:00:22.:00:26.

posting things on my wall. Also tonight: the protestors who's

:00:26.:00:29.

plotted to shut down a power station have their convictions

:00:29.:00:35.

quashed. This is a small success in the context of a much bigger

:00:35.:00:40.

picture to do with police and CPS responsibility and accountability,

:00:40.:00:44.

peaceful process and the use of undercover policing.

:00:44.:00:47.

Plus - the army's coming to Cottesmore - and there's a big

:00:47.:00:51.

welcome waiting. Beekeeping is we know there is a future and we did

:00:51.:00:55.

not know that yesterday. -- the key thing.

:00:55.:00:58.

And longer blades mean twice the power - an exclusive report on a

:00:59.:01:08.
:01:09.:01:21.

new type of turbine. This is East Good evening and welcome to the

:01:21.:01:24.

programme. First tonight, police are trying to trace a man tried to

:01:24.:01:27.

befriended more than a 100 schoolchildren on the internet. He

:01:27.:01:29.

posted indecent comments on the social network site Facebook, tried

:01:29.:01:32.

to get addresses for some children and arrange meetings with them. The

:01:32.:01:35.

head teacher at the school targeted says it's vital he's caught. Rob

:01:35.:01:37.

Sissons reports. These children have learnt an

:01:37.:01:40.

important lesson - be careful about who you accept as a friend on a

:01:40.:01:42.

social network site. The head teacher at Nottinghamshire's

:01:42.:01:45.

Selston Arts and community college says someone posing under the name

:01:45.:01:48.

Hi Heart was made contact befriended more than 100 children

:01:48.:01:58.
:01:58.:01:58.

at her school on Facebook. It is very much a shock. When I looked at

:01:58.:02:02.

the scripts the students read, I felt sick. I would not like to

:02:02.:02:07.

repeat the kind of comments that this person made on Facebook. It

:02:07.:02:12.

was absolutely disgusting. I met one of the children who fund it --

:02:12.:02:17.

unwittingly accepted him as a friend. It made me realise that I

:02:17.:02:22.

should look at people's profile before I go on Facebook and protect

:02:22.:02:28.

my own profile. It seems everyone's a lot wiser. It has been a wake-up

:02:28.:02:31.

call for me. It is almost good that it has happened because people are

:02:31.:02:38.

more aware. This latest attempt of internet grooming shows a sinister

:02:38.:02:42.

side of the internet which has been a real wake-up call for the school.

:02:42.:02:45.

It also shows the peer-group pressure that people can be under

:02:46.:02:55.
:02:56.:02:57.

to get more friends on Facebook. The child exploitation and online

:02:57.:02:59.

protection centre's received 1,536) of all reports of online grooming

:02:59.:03:02.

in 2009-10. 135 cases involved making arrangements to meet a child

:03:02.:03:05.

offline. There's now a warning on the Selston school's website and

:03:05.:03:06.

neighbouring schools in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire

:03:06.:03:11.

alerted. So Rob's here now. Rob, you have

:03:12.:03:17.

some more information about the police investigation.

:03:17.:03:23.

Disturbing case. Nottingham police are taking the lead in this and not

:03:23.:03:27.

trying to track down whoever made these postings on Facebook. In the

:03:27.:03:31.

meantime, their advice to parents is keep an eye on what your

:03:31.:03:34.

children are doing on social networks. Easier said than done

:03:34.:03:38.

sometimes, they get them to know about privacy settings and not let

:03:38.:03:42.

anyone as a friend who they do not know. There is advice to parents on

:03:42.:03:52.

a website. There are lots of tips there, it is given below. There are

:03:52.:03:56.

lots of tips for children as well. Next, vindication for the climate

:03:56.:03:59.

activists whose plot to close Ratcliffe Power Station was

:03:59.:04:01.

infiltrated by an undercover cop. Today the Appeal Court overturned

:04:01.:04:03.

their convictions because Mark Kennedy's secret recordings weren't

:04:03.:04:08.

revealed at their trial. Nottinghamshire Police say they're

:04:08.:04:13.

"extremely disappointed" by the ruling. Our Social Affairs

:04:13.:04:15.

Correspondent, Jeremy Ball, reports from the Royal Courts of Justice in

:04:15.:04:20.

London. The protestors target was one of

:04:20.:04:29.

Britain's biggest coal-fired power plants. They were going to stop the

:04:29.:04:32.

coal conveyer belts and scale Ratcliffe's tallest chimney in what

:04:32.:04:34.

the prosecution described as a publicity stunt. But protestors

:04:34.:04:37.

claim it was legally justified because they were making a genuine

:04:37.:04:39.

attempt to cut dangerous carbon emissions. And today their

:04:39.:04:41.

convictions for conspiring to cause criminal damage and trespass were

:04:41.:04:47.

overturned. I don't think words will do it justice. We believed

:04:48.:04:51.

after 825 days, since the arrest. That is all we can say. We will

:04:51.:04:55.

wait for the outcome tomorrow, but the convictions have been quashed

:04:55.:04:59.

so we are relieved, and a bit of justice has been done. It's more

:04:59.:05:03.

than two years since the 20 were arrested in a raid at this school

:05:03.:05:05.

in Nottingham where their meetings to plan the protest were being

:05:05.:05:08.

bugged by a undercover detective. But Mark Kennedy's recordings were

:05:08.:05:11.

never disclosed and the activists claim his tapes could have proved

:05:11.:05:13.

their defence. Today the Lord Chief Justice agreed that their trial

:05:13.:05:20.

wasn't fair. The convictions have been quashed today, and that is

:05:20.:05:25.

welcome, but this is a small can -- success in the context of a much

:05:25.:05:30.

bigger picture in the -- what to do with police and accountability,

:05:30.:05:34.

peaceful protest and the use of undercover policing. Today's appeal

:05:34.:05:37.

was highly unusual because it was sparked by the Crown Prosecution

:05:37.:05:39.

Service, a decision that Nottinghamshire Police say still

:05:39.:05:42.

hasn't been explained to them despite repeated requests. And the

:05:42.:05:44.

force says it'll act on any relevant findings when the judges

:05:45.:05:52.

explain their rulings here tomorrow. Schools in Nottingham have been

:05:52.:05:55.

told that funding for their rebuilding programmes will not be

:05:55.:06:00.

restored. The Building Schools for the Future projects at Top Valley

:06:00.:06:04.

School and Trinity School in Aspley were cancelled in the first days of

:06:04.:06:07.

the coalition government. The City Council had forced a judicial

:06:07.:06:10.

review of the decision. Today the Education Secretary Michael Gove

:06:10.:06:16.

confirmed the 33 million cuts would not be reinstated.

:06:16.:06:19.

The Probation Service in Derbyshire has defended its actions after a

:06:19.:06:22.

convicted murderer, released on licence, went on to kill two of his

:06:22.:06:28.

neighbours in Derby. Yesterday Andrew Dawson was told that he

:06:28.:06:31.

would spend the rest of his life behind bars for the murders of Dave

:06:31.:06:35.

Matthews and Paul Hancock. Probation officers who were

:06:35.:06:37.

supervising Dawson's licence conditions say he was closely

:06:37.:06:44.

watched and had no way of knowing he would kill again.

:06:44.:06:47.

Still to come: Plans for a big shake-up in the way day care for

:06:47.:06:54.

the elderly is provided in Derby. Yes, we're live from a meeting that

:06:54.:07:04.
:07:04.:07:07.

could see one of the city's two-day After months of uncertainty the

:07:07.:07:14.

future of RAF Cottesmore in Rutland has finally been decided. It's been

:07:14.:07:16.

chosen as the headquarters for a new multi-role brigade,

:07:16.:07:21.

incorporating thousands of troops. So, what does that involve, and

:07:21.:07:24.

what do local people think of the army taking over from the RAF?

:07:24.:07:32.

Here's our Chief News reporter For decades the skies around

:07:32.:07:35.

Cottesmore roared to the sound of the RAF, soon you're more likely to

:07:35.:07:44.

hear the roar of a Sergeant Major. From 2014 the army will move in. As

:07:44.:07:47.

troops return from Germany Cottesmore will be the HQ for one

:07:47.:07:52.

of five multi-role brigades around the country. Thousands of troops

:07:52.:07:55.

will be split between four sites in the East of England, including

:07:55.:08:01.

North Luffenham also in Rutland. So what is a multi-role brigade?

:08:01.:08:04.

Well, it's made up of between 5- 6,000 troops and could include a

:08:04.:08:06.

regiment of Challenger 2 tanks, four infantry battalions and one

:08:06.:08:14.

reconnaissance regiment. The base brings in more than 30

:08:14.:08:20.

million to the local economy, so the army is warmly welcomed.

:08:20.:08:25.

Absolutely brilliant, better than some of the autumn its that were

:08:25.:08:32.

suggested. -- alternatives. It will give jobs to people. Rutland has

:08:32.:08:36.

lost a lot of income and hopefully they will regain some when the army

:08:36.:08:41.

comes back again. There will be a lot of passing by trade hopefully.

:08:41.:08:44.

With the army coming in, there will be more traffic and more people

:08:44.:08:51.

stopping off. RAF closed, Ashford present closed as well, the army

:08:51.:08:54.

coming is good. Political leaders say Rutland has nothing to fear

:08:54.:08:58.

from so many troops in the county. I don't think it will be flooded by

:08:58.:09:03.

thousands of troops. Have they noticed any significant difference

:09:03.:09:06.

with the Army in North Luffenham? I believe that with the army

:09:06.:09:09.

personnel I have dealt with, they will work with the community and

:09:09.:09:12.

they will be very, very good tenants. The base itself is still

:09:12.:09:16.

in the dark about many of the details but at least the main

:09:16.:09:24.

uncertainty is over. Leicestershire Police have thanked the public for

:09:24.:09:26.

their help in tracing a missing man. 63-year-old Michael Brookes was

:09:26.:09:29.

reported missing on Saturday afternoon, having last been seen in

:09:29.:09:39.
:09:39.:09:52.

Shepshed. He's now been found safe Next, it's a fledgling industry,

:09:52.:10:02.
:10:02.:10:06.

I have secured over 50,000 signatures for a petition, calling

:10:06.:10:12.

on the government to look again at the proposals to all the contract

:10:12.:10:16.

to Siemens in Germany, not least because the Prime Minister visited

:10:16.:10:19.

Derby almost four months ago and said he was committed to

:10:19.:10:29.
:10:29.:10:39.

rebalancing the economy in favour Next tonight, the cost of looking

:10:39.:10:42.

after the elderly. Our population may be ageing but one council is

:10:42.:10:45.

tonight considering closing one of its last two remaining day-care

:10:45.:10:48.

centres for old people. To tell us more, Simon Hare joins us live from

:10:48.:10:51.

Derby. Good evening, Simon. Yes, the cabinet which effectively runs

:10:51.:10:54.

Derby City Council is meeting here tonight. On the agenda, plans to

:10:54.:10:57.

close the Whitaker Centre and merge it with another one elsewhere in

:10:57.:11:00.

the city. Unsurprisingly, it's an idea that's not gone down well with

:11:00.:11:06.

many who use the service. I did 15 years on the buses.

:11:06.:11:12.

and Brian say their day-care centre is a godsend. When I get on the bus

:11:12.:11:19.

in the morning, I say, OK, girls, get on the number two. I love being

:11:19.:11:24.

with people and I love talking. can tell! This place, they have

:11:24.:11:27.

worked wonders for me. Under council plans it would remain, but

:11:27.:11:30.

also have to accommodate everyone that currently uses this centre at

:11:30.:11:34.

Littleover. In this time of economic austerity, we are looking

:11:34.:11:38.

to make the best use of our resources and therefore it seems to

:11:38.:11:43.

make more sense to close one of the centres and have a full and vibrant

:11:43.:11:46.

remaining centre. Dennis has been coming to the Whitaker Centre for

:11:46.:11:51.

three years and doesn't feel it's promoted properly.

:11:52.:11:56.

We have been a reduced number, not because we are unpopular, nobody is

:11:57.:12:05.

tapping and going around saying, day centre for the old people.

:12:05.:12:15.

bring out your elderly! Among the alternatives to day-care

:12:15.:12:18.

centres being considered is a plan to recruit volunteers who are

:12:18.:12:25.

willing to invite older people into their homes. No, this is best. We

:12:25.:12:28.

are all together. It is great. It is just a mingling of people

:12:28.:12:37.

together and we are happy. I have just been told from my

:12:37.:12:41.

colleague that the recommendations have been approved. Labour says it

:12:41.:12:44.

is flawed thinking, but there will now have to be a period of public

:12:44.:12:54.
:12:54.:13:21.

The growth in the number of wind turbines being installed across the

:13:21.:13:23.

country shows how determined the industry is to meet the

:13:23.:13:33.
:13:33.:13:44.

Inventors have come up with a new design. Weeping it is absolutely

:13:45.:13:49.

critical. It is not a panacea for war, but when you go offshore into

:13:49.:13:53.

deep waters where there are a lot of Tower Bines installed, it is

:13:53.:13:57.

very important that you do not have too many to maintain and you

:13:57.:14:02.

minimise your risk of things going wrong. Having 89 that is twice as

:14:02.:14:06.

big, and we are going for more robust and health and safety

:14:06.:14:10.

benefits, fundamentally if we can make something twice as big, you

:14:10.:14:13.

will reduce your operational costs and the costs are for electricity

:14:13.:14:18.

for everyone. This small-scale model demonstrates the concept, but

:14:18.:14:22.

its testing and see what a place in the next few years. The

:14:22.:14:25.

Loughborough team will need a big industrial partner to make the idea

:14:25.:14:29.

a reality. They hope the parts can be made in the East Midlands.

:14:29.:14:36.

a case of show me now. It is a case of funding going forward. We need

:14:36.:14:39.

to build a demonstrator to validate the numbers we have created through

:14:39.:14:44.

the modelling process. We believe there is a massive market to fill

:14:44.:14:49.

and if we could fill just 10 % of it, we would be run off our feet.

:14:49.:14:52.

We are very excited about this technology and believe it has its

:14:52.:14:58.

place in the market. We are looking to drive it there. If the designers

:14:58.:15:02.

in Loughborough are successful, their invention could mean a global

:15:02.:15:12.
:15:12.:15:18.

The growth in the number of wind turbines being installed across the

:15:18.:15:20.

country shows how determined the industry is to meet the

:15:20.:15:23.

government's ambitious targets. They want to generate 15% of the

:15:23.:15:26.

UK's energy needs from renewable sources by 2015. At the moment we

:15:26.:15:29.

get our electricity from a range of sources. In the 1st Quarter of 2011,

:15:29.:15:33.

38% came from gas, 34% from coal, 17.9% from nuclear power and 8.1%

:15:33.:15:40.

from renewable sources. Once seen as a fringe industry, the renewable

:15:40.:15:43.

sector has seen something of a boom in recent years, encouraged by

:15:43.:15:49.

government subsidies. The types of renewable schemes vary greatly -

:15:49.:15:52.

for example beneath the waters of a reservoir at Kings Mill hospital in

:15:52.:15:54.

Nottinghamshire is a massive geothermal heat exchange system

:15:54.:15:57.

which produces up to 7kW of energy for every 1kW it uses,

:15:57.:16:07.
:16:07.:16:08.

significantly reducing the hospitals energy bills. And this

:16:08.:16:11.

crop growing on a restored landfill site at Fiskerton is actually bio

:16:11.:16:17.

fuel. It's a plant known as elephant grass and is part of a

:16:17.:16:21.

pilot scheme. The first crop, which is similar in appearance to bamboo,

:16:21.:16:30.

will be harvested in the spring of 2013.

:16:30.:16:38.

The leaves fall off after the first frost. You are then left with this

:16:38.:16:43.

would be Cape which has got a high lignin content, making it ideal for

:16:43.:16:47.

burning, which is worthy of growing this crop. It's not certain that

:16:47.:16:49.

all these innovations will help the government reach its renewable

:16:49.:16:53.

target, but one thing is clear - however our energy is generated our

:16:53.:16:55.

bills will continue to rise. British Gas recently put their

:16:55.:17:02.

prices up and others are expected to follow suit. A short time ago, I

:17:02.:17:05.

spoke to Dr John Andresen an energy expert from the University of

:17:05.:17:08.

Nottingham and began by asking him if we could really end our

:17:08.:17:18.

dependence on fossil fuel. Very much so, yes, I believe so.

:17:18.:17:25.

Not only win, but you need to have a package of alternatives,

:17:25.:17:31.

including wind. There is also biomass, different types,

:17:31.:17:36.

geothermal, wave power. If that all comes together, I think you should

:17:36.:17:41.

get an alternative package to replace the decline of fossil fuel.

:17:41.:17:48.

I suppose people are concerned at all levels, but to provide a viable

:17:48.:17:54.

alternative, wouldn't you have to coat the entire country in the

:17:54.:17:58.

Tower Vines was mad yes. Another problem is that when you have taken

:17:58.:18:03.

the best spot, the ones that are left over are not in production.

:18:03.:18:08.

For example, last year we had an increase of 20 % in capacity, but

:18:08.:18:17.

actually that effect can be less. You can't have a system that is

:18:17.:18:21.

dependent on wind if the wind drops for months on end as appears to be

:18:21.:18:28.

the case. When we need electricity the most, typically in winter, wind

:18:28.:18:32.

is low so for example last December when we had a snowstorm, there was

:18:32.:18:37.

virtually no wind at put their tour and electricity demand was highest.

:18:37.:18:41.

The other concern is cost. Inevitably, renewable energy is

:18:41.:18:47.

going to be more costly than fossil fuel. Unnecessarily. Initially,

:18:47.:18:53.

most renewables will be very expensive, but as more capacity is

:18:53.:19:01.

being snore -- being stored, those costs will go down. A certain part

:19:01.:19:06.

of wind and solar, and certainly some biomass energy, is cost

:19:06.:19:12.

competitor with fossil fuel today. Thank you very much indeed.

:19:12.:19:21.

Let's see if Colin can fuel our interest in sport!

:19:21.:19:24.

First, Leicester City manager Sven- Goran Eriksson says there's been no

:19:24.:19:27.

approach from Derby County for the club captain Matt Oakley despite

:19:27.:19:31.

reports this morning. Sven was speaking from Sweden last night. He

:19:31.:19:35.

and his team have been in his homeland for a pre-season tour and

:19:35.:19:37.

Natalie has been with them. Well, Leicester City ended their

:19:37.:19:40.

10-day tour of Sweden in Stockholm, the country's capital city. They

:19:40.:19:42.

won the Stockholm Trophy comprehensively and Sven has had so

:19:42.:19:45.

many players at his disposal because of his clubs glittering

:19:45.:19:53.

spending spree. He's been able to field to two separate teams.

:19:53.:20:03.

But is everybody on board with such a large squad? We have got a strong

:20:03.:20:08.

Swat and hopefully good competition for places. They have all got to

:20:08.:20:13.

compete and to pull in the same direction. You only to spend a bit

:20:13.:20:17.

of time with the team to see how well organised Sven is and well

:20:17.:20:21.

liked. Strong arms! Last night's game was against Swedish third

:20:21.:20:24.

division side Vasalunds. And while the players crammed into the tiny

:20:24.:20:27.

dressing room Sven discussed more transfer targets with his football

:20:27.:20:34.

director. It is a major investment that they are making, not just on

:20:34.:20:40.

players, we are looking at training ground improvements, video screens,

:20:41.:20:44.

a new playing surface as well. There is an awful lot that the

:20:44.:20:49.

owners are doing. Last night a number of the club's seven new

:20:49.:20:52.

signings got a run out, but it was an established favourite who

:20:52.:21:00.

impressed the manager. Steve Howard scored all the goals, the with so

:21:00.:21:07.

many new players it is easy to mix all the names up. No. 9, Steve

:21:07.:21:17.
:21:17.:21:17.

Oakley! Sven-Goran Eriksson it still wants more editions. As a

:21:17.:21:21.

manager, you are never happy because you always want more. But

:21:21.:21:27.

so far, they have been fantastic for us.

:21:27.:21:37.

We will have more with Sven-Goran Eriksson in Sweden tomorrow.

:21:37.:21:40.

Now, over the last couple of weeks, we've been looking around our

:21:40.:21:50.
:21:50.:21:50.

counties through the eyes of our After a fallow and frustrating

:21:50.:21:53.

fortnight, things are starting to happen at Nottingham Forest. Last

:21:53.:21:55.

night we brought you news of Jonathan Greening's signing. This

:21:55.:21:58.

afternoon Forest confirmed they'd managed to seal a deal to keep

:21:58.:22:01.

French midfielder Guy Moussi at the City Ground for the next three

:22:01.:22:04.

years. I have an attachment in Nottingham so when I spoke with

:22:04.:22:10.

Steve McLaren, that made the difference.

:22:10.:22:14.

Boxer Carl Froch will be returning to Atlantic City in America for the

:22:14.:22:17.

final of the Super Six tournament. Froch will fight in the main

:22:17.:22:19.

Boardwalk Hall arena against unbeaten American Olympic champion

:22:19.:22:22.

Andrew Ward at the end of October. The pair are the world champions

:22:22.:22:23.

from the two leading boxing organisations.

:22:23.:22:26.

Derby weightlifter Chris Freebury is another step nearer the Olympics

:22:26.:22:28.

after claiming the British title. The 22-year-old took the 69-kilo

:22:28.:22:36.

crown showing he's bang on course to make the team for London.

:22:36.:22:41.

Great to have so many athletes heading towards those 2012 games.

:22:41.:22:44.

That looked very heavy! Now, over the last couple of weeks,

:22:44.:22:47.

we've been looking around our counties through the eyes of our

:22:47.:22:49.

local radio presenters in our series Pride of the County.

:22:49.:22:52.

In the final part, tonight BBC Radio Leicester's Jim Davis takes a

:22:52.:22:58.

slightly different look at Leicestershire.

:22:58.:23:02.

Welcome to castle gardens in the heart of Leicester. This is really

:23:02.:23:07.

the home of Leicester's historical development where the Normans and

:23:07.:23:13.

Romans first settled on the town grew up around here. King Richard

:23:13.:23:17.

Bird welcomes you to the park with this stature and the lead and is

:23:18.:23:22.

that his body was thrown into the River Soar after he died in 1485.

:23:22.:23:27.

It is largely to this rare and its connections to the River Trent that

:23:27.:23:33.

Leicester's industrial park land grew up around this spot. It is

:23:33.:23:36.

from the river where I think you can get a truly unique perspective

:23:36.:23:42.

on the city. Geoff lives on board his narrowboat and has offered to

:23:42.:23:48.

show me some of the sides. The canal was purpose built in 1890 to

:23:48.:23:53.

bypass the difficult to navigate section of beach saw Mark -- the

:23:53.:23:59.

River Soar. The tow path still forms a useful purpose and gives

:23:59.:24:05.

people a chance to escape the busy roads and get from A to B. Heading

:24:05.:24:10.

out alongside Leicester's famous abbey Park and north past the world

:24:10.:24:14.

renowned Space Centre and then on and beyond, linking the city to the

:24:14.:24:17.

fabulous Leicestershire countryside and some of the most rural

:24:17.:24:22.

landscapes you can find. But it is one Leicester's Belgrave

:24:22.:24:26.

Road that I really get a sense of why I love this city so much with

:24:26.:24:30.

its shops and incredible restaurants. I was born in South

:24:30.:24:34.

Africa to British parents and we travelled around the world before

:24:34.:24:38.

we chose to settle right here. I think that is why I feel a

:24:38.:24:43.

connection to this city so much. Continuing along Belgrave Road away

:24:43.:24:45.

from the City and towards Seisdon, there is something even more

:24:45.:24:51.

surprising going on. Minutes from the busy hobby horse

:24:51.:24:56.

roundabout, in Burnaston is this beautiful and tranquil lake. --

:24:56.:25:05.

Burnaston. This is Murphy's Lake, a format sandpit which is home to a

:25:05.:25:09.

water boarding card. Wait boarding is one of the fastest growing

:25:09.:25:17.

sports in Europe and you can have a go yourself. That is what I love

:25:17.:25:21.

about Leicestershire, whether it is a city-centre park, a walk along

:25:21.:25:25.

the towpath or something for the less faint-hearted, my cloudy of

:25:25.:25:30.

Leicestershire has got it all. Amazing!

:25:30.:25:33.

He was very good about. Very good indeed, and he must have

:25:34.:25:40.

been cold. We have had some very heavy showers

:25:40.:25:42.

across the eastern side of our across the eastern side of our

:25:42.:25:47.

region and we have some with us now. A rather wet picture was captured

:25:47.:25:52.

today By Philip, thank you for this. It was needed to Trent Lock with

:25:52.:25:55.

the power stations in the background. We will seek the

:25:55.:25:58.

weather improving towards the end of the week, but we have got a

:25:58.:26:03.

showery been for now, including this evening. Those at heavy

:26:03.:26:08.

showers sitting on the east. They will be thundery at times,

:26:08.:26:11.

producing a lot of rain in a short time. They will play throughout the

:26:11.:26:15.

evening and we will see clear spells come in tonight. A minimum

:26:15.:26:18.

temperature of 11 degrees. First thing tomorrow morning, the early

:26:18.:26:23.

part will be dry with a bit of sunshine. But again, it will turn

:26:23.:26:27.

Sharif towards tomorrow. These showers will develop in the

:26:27.:26:31.

afternoon, they will not be as heavy as the ones we have had today,

:26:31.:26:35.

but there will be a lot around. The temperatures will be similar to

:26:35.:26:41.

today: A maximum of 20 degrees. A very gentle breeze. On Thursday,

:26:41.:26:46.

there will be the return of those heady slow-moving showers again.

:26:46.:26:50.

Thursday will be wet again in the East Midlands, but by Friday, we

:26:50.:26:54.

will have a ridge of high pressure trying to build an. It will be a

:26:54.:26:58.

weak affair, so not overly successful, but it will be settled

:26:58.:27:01.

down enough on Friday to give us a reasonable day. The temperatures

:27:01.:27:05.

are not doing too badly for the time of year. We are hoping Friday

:27:05.:27:11.

will be tried if you want to get into the garden. The wins one macro

:27:11.:27:18.

-- the winds will be light. It will not hang around, that rich of high

:27:18.:27:22.

pressure, so Saturday and Sunday will see the showers returning. The

:27:22.:27:26.

winds will be light this weekend, and sunshine in between the showers

:27:26.:27:32.
