This is East Midlands Today with Anne Davies and me, Dominic Heale. | :00:08. | :00:14.
Tonight: closed for at least eight weeks. A fire in a plant room brings | :00:15. | :00:18.
the curtain down at Derby's Assembly Rooms. | :00:19. | :00:27.
Friday's blaze has caused bhg damage and is bad news for the box office | :00:28. | :00:30.
as well. And the former soldiers fighting a | :00:31. | :00:36.
new war. Without the help I received, I wouldn't have the | :00:37. | :00:39.
capacity to cope so I wouldn't be here. | :00:40. | :00:43.
Plus the disturbing school drama showing the reality of sexu`l | :00:44. | :00:48.
grooming. That's as long as you don't want me to tell everyone. | :00:49. | :00:57.
Don't tell my mum and dad. @nd music, dance and gay lick greetings | :00:58. | :01:10.
on St Patrick's Day. Happy Saint Patrick's day to everybody from | :01:11. | :01:11.
Market Square in Nottingham. Good evening and welcome to Monday's | :01:12. | :01:21.
programme. First tonight, elergency planners have spent the day | :01:22. | :01:24.
assessing the full impact of the huge fire which destroyed the top | :01:25. | :01:28.
floor of a multistorey car park in Derby. | :01:29. | :01:32.
It's forced the closure of the city's Assembly Rooms for at least | :01:33. | :01:36.
eight weeks. Council staff have now begun the mammoth task of contacting | :01:37. | :01:40.
thousands of people who'd bought tickets for shows which havd been | :01:41. | :01:43.
cancelled. Our reporter Jamds Roberson is in Derby tonight. James, | :01:44. | :01:52.
what's the latest information? Good evening. The latest information | :01:53. | :01:58.
is that you can clearly see now where the damage started, where the | :01:59. | :02:02.
fire started that devastated the car park behind the on Friday nhght It | :02:03. | :02:06.
started at that end and sprdad across. It wasn't just a devastating | :02:07. | :02:12.
fire for the pas park. It's also had a devastating effect on the | :02:13. | :02:16.
programme of events right ndxt door. Hundreds of events have had to be | :02:17. | :02:19.
cancelled right up to the mhddle of May. | :02:20. | :02:23.
From the tower of Derby Cathedral today, the extent of the dalage is | :02:24. | :02:30.
only too clear. Smoke from the huge fire on Friday night has got into | :02:31. | :02:35.
the rooms themselves but thd damage the plant room on top of thd car | :02:36. | :02:38.
park is even more extensive. Pictures taken by the counchl today | :02:39. | :02:43.
show the charred and buckled roof and the wrecked interior of the | :02:44. | :02:46.
plant room, including the point where the fire started. Tod`y, in a | :02:47. | :02:57.
temporary office in the Guildhall, Derby Life staff were beginning the | :02:58. | :03:03.
huge task of bringing lots of customers to tell them shows and | :03:04. | :03:06.
events had been cancelled until mid`May. We've had to reschddule. | :03:07. | :03:15.
Yes. It is because of the fhre that happened on Friday. One small piece | :03:16. | :03:19.
of good fortune was that thd wind blew smoke and flames away from | :03:20. | :03:24.
businesses, including from this one right next door. The feeling is that | :03:25. | :03:33.
we can open for business as usual. Saturday was a good day of trading. | :03:34. | :03:37.
There might be some impact with footfall around the city but we are | :03:38. | :03:41.
optimistic going forward. Assessors have been inside the assembly rooms | :03:42. | :03:46.
and inside the car park tod`y. The car park will remain closed for the | :03:47. | :03:50.
foreseeable future while its structural integrity is est`blished. | :03:51. | :03:56.
With me now is Martin wrappdd in from Derby City Council. `` Martin | :03:57. | :04:04.
wrapped in. This fire has h`d a serious effect on your programme of | :04:05. | :04:09.
events. Absolutely. Due to the fire, we've had to cancel the performances | :04:10. | :04:14.
for the next eight weeks and that will take us through until the 1th | :04:15. | :04:19.
of May. And you have been phoning people today, haven't you? Ht's a | :04:20. | :04:25.
huge task to contact them. Absolutely. Our staff have been | :04:26. | :04:29.
working incredibly hard to contact as many people as possible to let | :04:30. | :04:35.
them know what has happened and the fact that the assembly rooms will | :04:36. | :04:38.
not be operating for the next eight weeks, and to make sure thex are | :04:39. | :04:42.
refunded and to make sure they are updated as quickly as possible with | :04:43. | :04:45.
any changes that occur over the coming weeks. | :04:46. | :04:48.
Do we know any more clearly how this fire broke out? Apart from the fact | :04:49. | :04:55.
that started in an air condhtioning unit, we are not fully award. | :04:56. | :05:01.
Investigations will take pl`ce. We have specialists in and thex will be | :05:02. | :05:05.
going through with a fine tooth comb over the coming weeks to trx to | :05:06. | :05:08.
ascertain exactly what happdned how it happened and then to takd it from | :05:09. | :05:15.
there. Obviously, because of all the services, the assembly rooms are no | :05:16. | :05:27.
longer functioning unfortun`tely. Both the car park behind me and the | :05:28. | :05:32.
main road will remain closed for the foreseeable future, which would be | :05:33. | :05:38.
`` which will mean large disruption to people. | :05:39. | :05:42.
Next tonight, a warning frol a former soldier that cutting mental | :05:43. | :05:47.
health funding will cost lives. Phil Bond served as a nurse in Iraq and | :05:48. | :05:50.
Afghanistan. He suffered post traumatic stress disorder bdcause of | :05:51. | :05:55.
the horrors he'd witnessed. As Jo Healey now reports Phhl says | :05:56. | :05:58.
he wouldn't have survived whthout the support from back home. | :05:59. | :06:07.
Phil had worked in a hospit`l in Nottingham but nothing prep`red him | :06:08. | :06:10.
for the battlefield injuries in Iraq and Afghanistan. The worst was | :06:11. | :06:15.
seeing poorly children, children that have been bombed, shot at, | :06:16. | :06:21.
stabbed. Of course, back hole, it all took its toll on him. How bad | :06:22. | :06:29.
did it get for you? I stood on a bridge and felt I could jump off, to | :06:30. | :06:38.
end it all. And at that point, I guess there was a moment of clarity, | :06:39. | :06:43.
were I thought, I need to gdt help. He got a lot of help from hhs GP and | :06:44. | :06:48.
Nottinghamshire mental health. Without their help, I would not be | :06:49. | :06:51.
here, I'm convinced that. The were getting so bad, I needed trdatment. | :06:52. | :06:57.
But nationally, mental health services are being cut by 1.8% and | :06:58. | :07:03.
that will hit veterans. Mord than 200,000 have served in the war | :07:04. | :07:08.
zones. Of them, 40,000 are now likely to struggle with thehr mental | :07:09. | :07:15.
health. The charity Combat Stress have already seen a 12% increase in | :07:16. | :07:21.
people seeking help. Many of them will have contacted NHS services and | :07:22. | :07:26.
they often referred to us. Of those services are not there, refdrrals | :07:27. | :07:32.
cannot be made and a veteran can spend even longer suffering in | :07:33. | :07:36.
silence. All combat troops should be withdrawn by the end of the year but | :07:37. | :07:39.
with mental health services being cut here, Phil fears more pdople | :07:40. | :07:49.
will suffer in silence. Still to come: the weather. How long | :07:50. | :07:53.
will this spring`like spell last? And in sport, Leicester Citx fans | :07:54. | :07:56.
enjoyed Saturday's sunshine and they enjoyed the result even mord. A full | :07:57. | :07:58.
match report on the way. Now though, the growing and | :07:59. | :08:08.
frightening problem of child sexual exploitation and the dangers that | :08:09. | :08:14.
teenagers are facing online. The charity Barnado's says 40% of | :08:15. | :08:18.
children they work with havd been targeted via social media. Hf Their | :08:19. | :08:24.
campaign coincides with a h`rd hitting play being performed to some | :08:25. | :08:26.
8,000 children across Leicestershire showing pupils just how easx it is | :08:27. | :08:30.
to become a victim of sexual grooming. | :08:31. | :08:40.
Not unless you want me to tdll everyone... Don't tell my mtm and | :08:41. | :08:45.
dad. These children are gripped riveted by a powerful drama about a | :08:46. | :08:49.
teenage girl unwittingly sucked into an abusive relationship. Thd gritty | :08:50. | :08:58.
play is a campaign to highlhght the problem of sexual exploitathon. The | :08:59. | :09:02.
issue hit the headlines thrde years ago after a gang in Derby wdre | :09:03. | :09:07.
jailed for cruising the strdets and preying on vulnerable girls as young | :09:08. | :09:13.
as 12. This plague, performdd to children at this school in | :09:14. | :09:15.
Leicester, shows that anyond can be a victim. It's amazing how they get | :09:16. | :09:23.
people to do what they want and they manipulate them. I've learnt how | :09:24. | :09:29.
people sexually groomed girls and boys and there are different kinds | :09:30. | :09:32.
of ways people can get exploited online. I've learnt to be s`fe on | :09:33. | :09:40.
these Internet websites and to keep my profile very secure. Havhng | :09:41. | :09:43.
watched the play, one of thd most interesting things is that `ny of | :09:44. | :09:47.
the children that watch it can see how easy it is. It could happen to | :09:48. | :09:51.
anyone of them. It can happdn to anybody at any time. It's shocking | :09:52. | :09:56.
and it's very moving actually, the number of students we do get in many | :09:57. | :10:00.
different schools who come tp to us and say that something in the play | :10:01. | :10:05.
has affected them. It could be the smallest thing online or solething | :10:06. | :10:10.
about sending photos. Barnardos save their research reveals hundreds of | :10:11. | :10:15.
children are being targeted online. Barnardos today's snapshot survey of | :10:16. | :10:19.
its specialist services. We were working with almost 900 children at | :10:20. | :10:24.
that point in time and of those about 40% of those young people | :10:25. | :10:27.
identified social media as being one of the factors that they had | :10:28. | :10:31.
encountered in their abuse. The message to all parents and children | :10:32. | :10:36.
is to be aware of the dangers. Two of our biggest manufacttring | :10:37. | :10:39.
names say attitudes have got to change if more girls are to take up | :10:40. | :10:42.
engineering apprenticeships in the future. | :10:43. | :10:46.
Nationally, only 7% of engineering staff are female. Toyota and JCB | :10:47. | :10:52.
want the success of a school to be based not just on how many pupils | :10:53. | :10:56.
get to University but also on how many become apprentices too. | :10:57. | :11:06.
Some of the females involved in the world of engineering, with some of | :11:07. | :11:09.
the key players that want to see more of them. Staff from thhs | :11:10. | :11:17.
manufacturer came to Toyota to talk about why many girls cannot see | :11:18. | :11:21.
themselves working in engindering. Maybe girls are worried abott | :11:22. | :11:27.
looking like a boy, if you go into engineering but it's not thd case at | :11:28. | :11:30.
all. I still got my nails p`inted. They get messy but you can still be | :11:31. | :11:35.
a girl and go into engineerhng. I feel like other females shotld see | :11:36. | :11:40.
engineering not as a man's world because it is at dash at thd minute. | :11:41. | :11:46.
Engineering is a broad subjdct. Both Toyota and JCB are pushing for more | :11:47. | :11:50.
girls to become engineers btt at JCB, there are only three f`ble | :11:51. | :11:58.
apprentices at 430. At Toyota, only three out of 70. Both firms admit | :11:59. | :12:01.
they have got more to do. Wd've got work to do but I think both schools | :12:02. | :12:06.
and business have to come together and we have to give the right level | :12:07. | :12:09.
of information to allow young people, both male and femald, to | :12:10. | :12:14.
make the right informed dechsion. Generally, not enough girls are | :12:15. | :12:19.
doing subjects like science, technology, engineering and maths, | :12:20. | :12:26.
what we call stem skills. Ghrls tend to be channelled towards arts | :12:27. | :12:30.
subjects. The CBI says schools success should also be meastred on | :12:31. | :12:33.
apprentice numbers, not just university places. | :12:34. | :12:39.
Business leaders say they'rd determined the East Midlands won't | :12:40. | :12:43.
lose out on the HS2 rail link. A report out today suggests the line | :12:44. | :12:46.
between Birmingham and Crewd could be completed several years before | :12:47. | :12:50.
the rest of the route is finished and that includes the section | :12:51. | :12:53.
through the East Midlands. The Chamber of Commerce here saxs it | :12:54. | :12:57.
would be unfair for one reghon to benefit before another and wants | :12:58. | :13:00.
work to start on both ends of the line simultaneously. | :13:01. | :13:11.
A Yorkshire terrier is recovering at an animal shelter in Derby `fter | :13:12. | :13:14.
being rescued from a ten foot deep manhole. The six`year`old dog's | :13:15. | :13:17.
cries were heard by passers by near a former Rolls`Royce factorx. The | :13:18. | :13:20.
RSPCA have named her Peanut. Officers believe she was | :13:21. | :13:25.
deliberately abandoned. The area where I found her suggests to me | :13:26. | :13:30.
that she was more likely dulped because this waste ground is a large | :13:31. | :13:35.
site. It has got a large wall all the way around it with barbdd wire. | :13:36. | :13:38.
I can see how the dog would have got in there herself. | :13:39. | :13:45.
A system pioneered in Derby, which helps to combat a potentially fatal | :13:46. | :13:49.
kidney condition, is to be tsed by hospitals across the countrx. | :13:50. | :13:53.
Since it's been used here, doctors say they've had a ten`fold hncrease | :13:54. | :13:56.
in the detection of so`calldd Acute Kidney Injury. As well as s`ving | :13:57. | :14:01.
lives it's hoped it could also help save the NHS billions. | :14:02. | :14:10.
It's a simple blood test but can also prove to be a life`savdr. | :14:11. | :14:16.
Everyone who is admitted here to the Royal Derby Hospital is now screened | :14:17. | :14:20.
for a potentially deadly colplaint called acute kidney injury. The | :14:21. | :14:24.
function of the kidney decrdases quite radically over hours or days | :14:25. | :14:30.
but that does have a signifhcant effect on the rest of their health. | :14:31. | :14:35.
How you feeling? Don has bedn diagnosed with it. He is now in | :14:36. | :14:37.
hospital for more tests and treatment. Very grateful for the | :14:38. | :14:44.
speed when someone realised there was something going on. I jtst hope | :14:45. | :14:49.
to get to the bottom of it `nd get into the garden again. This patient | :14:50. | :14:56.
has acute injury... What happens here is being held up as an example | :14:57. | :15:00.
of good practice. Hospitals across the country are being urged to set | :15:01. | :15:04.
up a similar electronic warning system for the condition. On an | :15:05. | :15:08.
annual basis, we have around 40 0 episodes of acute kidney injury in | :15:09. | :15:17.
the hospital. We know that prior to introducing these electronic alerts, | :15:18. | :15:20.
only about a 10th of these cases were being picked up. In thd past, | :15:21. | :15:24.
many of those patients would have needed dialysis. Treating stfferers | :15:25. | :15:29.
of acute kidney injury currdntly costs the NHS ?3 billion a xear So | :15:30. | :15:33.
it is hoped testing one small sample of blood could save much of that | :15:34. | :15:44.
money and save many lives as well. We lead the way so often. | :15:45. | :15:50.
Coming up: a perfect Paddy's Day. The East Midlands turns gredn as the | :15:51. | :15:57.
Irish celebrate a special d`te in the calendar with song, dance and a | :15:58. | :15:59.
tipple or two. We're always being told to dat a | :16:00. | :16:06.
varied and balanced diet but it s not always that easy, espechally | :16:07. | :16:08.
when you're living on a tight budget. So one City Council has | :16:09. | :16:12.
stepped in to help by spendhng a whole week targeting poor nttrition | :16:13. | :16:15.
in Leicester and it started by giving away hundreds of fred, | :16:16. | :16:18.
healthy breakfasts as Victoria Hicks reports. | :16:19. | :16:28.
A healthy start to the day here at this nursery. These children are | :16:29. | :16:37.
amongst 1500 under fives who would be getting a free breakfast this | :16:38. | :16:41.
week. It's good to see what healthy breakfasts look like. Healthy eating | :16:42. | :16:46.
can be so expensive to just a few ideas can really help the growth and | :16:47. | :16:50.
development of the kids. Edtcation for life. I hope there are not faced | :16:51. | :16:59.
with obesity. And unhealthy eating is a real problem in Leicester. | :17:00. | :17:04.
Five`year`old children in the city have the most rotten teeth hn the | :17:05. | :17:09.
country. By the age of 11, one in three children in Leicester will be | :17:10. | :17:14.
obese. And as adults, only ` quarter eat the recommended five a day of | :17:15. | :17:20.
fruit and vegetables. This hs lasting a week. The point is to give | :17:21. | :17:23.
children across the city a good healthy start to the day and | :17:24. | :17:27.
encourage them to have fun with healthy eating. So this project is | :17:28. | :17:31.
all about sowing the seeds of healthy eating for the next | :17:32. | :17:32.
generation. It's becoming a cruise to Promotion | :17:33. | :17:56.
from the Championship. Leicdster City are now an astonishing 17 | :17:57. | :18:02.
points clear of third place. Mathematically, they could be a | :18:03. | :18:06.
Premier League side by the dnd of March. On Saturday I went to watch | :18:07. | :18:09.
them play Blackpool and found nothing would stop the Foxes | :18:10. | :18:20.
enjoying the sunshine. The sun is out. It's gloriots. What | :18:21. | :18:26.
a perfect day for a perfect match! The fans can only be happy with the | :18:27. | :18:32.
progress of the Foxes. We are doing well. But no one is taking `ny | :18:33. | :18:36.
chances on the foxes climb to the top. We will get promoted this | :18:37. | :18:41.
season, definitely. Leicestdr started with a kind of confhdence | :18:42. | :18:45.
that goes with a team in thdir position. What didn't arrivd was a | :18:46. | :18:50.
goal. Instead, the visitors came up with the opener. | :18:51. | :18:56.
There was no hint that is Ldicester were going to roll over. Whdn it | :18:57. | :19:02.
finally paid off for them, ht was really special. No keeper expects to | :19:03. | :19:07.
be beaten like that. With ehght minutes left, the goal`scordr turned | :19:08. | :19:12.
provider for the goal that took Leicester into the lead. Substitute | :19:13. | :19:20.
striker Phillips had three decent chances and it was the most | :19:21. | :19:23.
difficult which found the b`ck of the net. Leicester 's domin`nce is | :19:24. | :19:29.
still unchallenged. The citx players had to read the writing on the wall | :19:30. | :19:34.
and they did it. They had to fight back and work hard. This is how | :19:35. | :19:36.
champions win games. The team is so focused right now. We | :19:37. | :19:45.
believe each other. We know how good we are as a team. I don't know how | :19:46. | :19:49.
many points we can get, it doesn't matter but we want to finish the | :19:50. | :19:56.
season with a positive mindset. Another good day done. The sun looks | :19:57. | :20:02.
like it is setting on Leicester s Championships day. | :20:03. | :20:04.
Derby County had to settle for a goaless draw at Reading but it was a | :20:05. | :20:08.
winning night for them at the Football League Awards. Two of their | :20:09. | :20:12.
younger players walked away with awards, as Kirsty Edwards rdports. | :20:13. | :20:17.
It isn't just his hair which gets will noticed. His performances for | :20:18. | :20:21.
Derby had seen the 18`year`old regularly linked with a movd to the | :20:22. | :20:25.
Premier league. And now, he is the football league's then playdr of the | :20:26. | :20:30.
year. He couldn't go to his last dash to last night 's event so it | :20:31. | :20:34.
was picked up by the club 's chief executive. He is a fantastic talent. | :20:35. | :20:39.
We think of him extremely hhghly as Derby, as everyone else does. We are | :20:40. | :20:45.
pleased his development continues. I'm thrilled for him. It's great | :20:46. | :20:51.
recognition for the academy, which has also produced Mason Bennett who | :20:52. | :20:55.
was named the apprentice of the year. Derby are not short of awards | :20:56. | :21:00.
at the moment but on the pitch, they are short of goals. Saturdax's game | :21:01. | :21:04.
at Reading, the fourth match in a row they've failed to find the net. | :21:05. | :21:09.
It certainly wasn't for the lack of trying. Chances came and went. They | :21:10. | :21:14.
almost paid for it when Reading got the ball into the net. Luckhly for | :21:15. | :21:18.
Derby, the referee spotted ht was a handball. We couldn't find the | :21:19. | :21:23.
finishing touch. They had a couple of chances but had a few before | :21:24. | :21:33.
that. Both managers were scratching their heads as to why it was that | :21:34. | :21:38.
scoreline. Derby are hopeful this player could be available for | :21:39. | :21:41.
Saturday's big clash with Nottingham Forest. | :21:42. | :21:46.
Well, as for Nottingham Fordst there's just no let up in their | :21:47. | :21:49.
injury problems. Andy Reid was back leading them out | :21:50. | :21:52.
against Doncaster after his hernia operation. But he limped off after | :21:53. | :21:56.
an hour, this time with a h`mstring problem. It's not yet known how | :21:57. | :22:00.
serious it is. Forest had a number of chances to win the game. They | :22:01. | :22:03.
just couldn't find the net though and the draw leaves them sixth in | :22:04. | :22:06.
the Championship ahead of what's going to be a massive game `gainst | :22:07. | :22:16.
the Rams at the weekend. Thhs is as appointing. We have a game next week | :22:17. | :22:19.
which is great for all the supporters. We will look forward to | :22:20. | :22:24.
that and hope to get three points there. | :22:25. | :22:26.
Onto Notts County and Mansfheld now. David Jackson starts with the | :22:27. | :22:30.
Magpies, who face a huge task at the bottom of League One Just bdfore we | :22:31. | :22:33.
leave the football a reminddr about tonight's | :22:34. | :22:42.
Rovers produced two girls in to take command. To their credit, the | :22:43. | :22:50.
Magpies responded. She had ` quality free kick. Even a point was beyond | :22:51. | :22:54.
them in the end. Steve Jennhngs ruined their day six minutes from | :22:55. | :22:58.
time. Mansfield went to second bottom Northampton and also took the | :22:59. | :23:01.
lead through Ollie Palmer. @ handball, a sending`off and a | :23:02. | :23:06.
penalty scored after 64 minttes were enough to make it a draw. | :23:07. | :23:11.
Reminder about Jamie Vardy, who says only last year he nearly quht the | :23:12. | :23:22.
game. He cost a million pounds from non`league football. World `t his | :23:23. | :23:27.
feet. But after only scoring four goals he found himself being | :23:28. | :23:30.
criticised on social media `nd thought of giving up. I spoke with | :23:31. | :23:32.
the gaffer and the assistant coach but they constantly Tokyo's good | :23:33. | :23:40.
enough. They have stuck by le I m glad I'm producing the goods on the | :23:41. | :23:41.
pitch. Onto Ice Hockey, where Notthngham | :23:42. | :23:48.
Panthers are jockeying for ` good play`off seeding but they lost four | :23:49. | :23:51.
three in Coventry last night and suffered yet another injury, this | :23:52. | :23:56.
time to Matt Francis. Our Short Track Speed Skaters had a | :23:57. | :23:59.
triumphant World Championshhps in Montreal, with Silver for Elise | :24:00. | :24:02.
Christie in the five hundred metres, and a World Bronze for the len's | :24:03. | :24:06.
relay team. A great reply to being denied a place at the Olymphcs. And | :24:07. | :24:10.
in Badminton, Chris and Gabby Adcock underlined their status as the | :24:11. | :24:13.
Commonwealth's best with victory at the Swiss Open. | :24:14. | :24:19.
Now today, as you may know, is Saint Patrick's Day. A day of mushc, | :24:20. | :24:24.
dancing and perhaps, just the odd drink. Celebrations of all things | :24:25. | :24:27.
Irish have been taking placd across the world and across the East | :24:28. | :24:29.
Midlands. Today, it was time for the flag of | :24:30. | :24:48.
Saint Patrick to fly and an Irish party in Nottingham's old M`rket | :24:49. | :24:49.
Square. My parents are from Ireland and we | :24:50. | :25:04.
like to keep the tradition going. Early on. The weather is good. | :25:05. | :25:08.
Everyone's enjoying themselves. It's marvellous. English people `re | :25:09. | :25:15.
lovely people. There was also the parade. Local schoolchildren, | :25:16. | :25:18.
societies and musicians walked through the city to join thd | :25:19. | :25:23.
celebrations. This is the 14th time the event has been held in | :25:24. | :25:26.
Nottingham. Most have been coming here since the start and thdy say | :25:27. | :25:32.
this is the biggest they've seen. We've spotted people from | :25:33. | :25:34.
Manchester, London and Birmhngham. It's great to have them all here | :25:35. | :25:40.
today. Happy Saint Patrick's day. There were also parades in Derby and | :25:41. | :25:45.
Leicester. The good weather and live entertainment have helped pdople | :25:46. | :25:48.
across the region celebrate the day in style. | :25:49. | :25:59.
It was such a lovely day for the celebrations. | :26:00. | :26:05.
The beautiful day today. We have got some changes on the way. We will be | :26:06. | :26:12.
saying hello to the rain once again as we go into Thursday. It will be | :26:13. | :26:16.
turning a little cooler agahn towards the end of the week. Before | :26:17. | :26:20.
that, there will be some sunshine to enjoy. Wednesday at the momdnt is | :26:21. | :26:23.
looking like the nicest day of the week. This area of high pressure | :26:24. | :26:29.
will slowly sinks southwards allowing things turn more unsettled | :26:30. | :26:36.
and as you can see, the wind will be the most noticeable feature over the | :26:37. | :26:39.
next couple of days. The winds will start to pick up to tonight. The | :26:40. | :26:43.
clouds will thicken as well. We stayed dry tonight and the cloud and | :26:44. | :26:46.
the wind will help to hold some of that warmth in. Quite a mild night | :26:47. | :26:52.
with lows of six or seven Cdlsius. Tomorrow morning, we will start off | :26:53. | :26:56.
quite cloudy but we start off drive. We will start to see the cloud | :26:57. | :26:59.
thickening later on in the lorning and we will see a few showers | :27:00. | :27:02.
pushing their way in later on in the day as well. We are not all going to | :27:03. | :27:06.
see these showers. They will be sporadic and they will fade away | :27:07. | :27:09.
later in the day as well. The winds will start to pick up. A bltstery | :27:10. | :27:17.
afternoon will make it feel cooler. Wednesday is looking like the driest | :27:18. | :27:21.
and brightest day of the wedk. Starting quite cloudy but the clouds | :27:22. | :27:25.
will break and they will be lovely sunshine for the afternoon. Feeling | :27:26. | :27:28.
warmer as well. Things will change on Thursday. A weather front sinking | :27:29. | :27:33.
southwards. Wet and windy wdather on Thursday and turning cooler on | :27:34. | :27:34.
Friday. Not had much rain recently. | :27:35. | :27:38. |
