It's almost 6.30pm - you're watching East Midlands Today. | :00:00. | :00:00.
Our top story tonight: The supermarket cashier jailed | :00:07. | :00:08.
Muslim convert Ryan Council booked flights, planning to join a jihadist | :00:09. | :00:23.
group. Also tonight, and taxi passenger admits to opening the car | :00:24. | :00:29.
door that killed a cyclist. Plus, they call it PJ paralysis, concern | :00:30. | :00:32.
that too many patients are spending too long in their pyjamas. And ever | :00:33. | :00:38.
fancied owning your own crane? I'm at the world's largest auction of | :00:39. | :00:42.
them, various sizes, styles and prices. | :00:43. | :00:55.
First tonight: Eight years in jail for the Nottingham supermarket | :00:56. | :00:58.
worker, who was preparing to fight for an Islamist terrorist group. | :00:59. | :01:01.
Ryan Counsell's been sentenced this afternoon, | :01:02. | :01:05.
a month after he was found guilty of four terrorism offences. | :01:06. | :01:09.
He downloaded a "wealth" of jihadi extremist material. | :01:10. | :01:13.
And he bought military equipment online. | :01:14. | :01:16.
That prompted a raid on his home near the ASDA store | :01:17. | :01:19.
They found he was due to fly out to the Philippines | :01:20. | :01:23.
Our Social Affairs Correspondent, Jeremy Ball, has been | :01:24. | :01:28.
following the case at Woolwich Crown Court. | :01:29. | :01:30.
Judge Andrew Lees said he had no doubt that Counsell | :01:31. | :01:35.
That's a violent extremist group, that's pledged allegiance | :01:36. | :01:41.
to the so-called Islamic State, and which beheaded a German | :01:42. | :01:44.
The judge said he spent almost ?900 on that military equipment, | :01:45. | :01:51.
And he'd downloaded beheading videos, bomb-making guides, | :01:52. | :01:56.
and advice on how to pack, and to join the group, | :01:57. | :01:59.
So was Ryan Counsell known at the local mosques? | :02:00. | :02:05.
Not according to the imam at the Bobbers Mill mosque. | :02:06. | :02:08.
And he thinks this case highlights the dangers of Muslim | :02:09. | :02:14.
converts, trying to learn about their religion online. | :02:15. | :02:19.
I think anybody who wants to do any criminal activity and commit | :02:20. | :02:23.
violence and join any terrorist groups, it is shocking. | :02:24. | :02:28.
And we want to condemn it and I would not regard him as part | :02:29. | :02:31.
of the Muslim community or our city, in fact. | :02:32. | :02:35.
Rather than virtual teachers, we need real teachers. | :02:36. | :02:41.
Any reaction to that eight year prison sentence? | :02:42. | :02:45.
Counsell didn't show any emotion, but his mother seemed very upset. | :02:46. | :02:52.
And we did hear some mitigation. Counsell's barrister said | :02:53. | :02:55.
he chose to leave Nottingham because he thought that | :02:56. | :02:59.
the Brexit vote had prompted a backlash against Muslims. | :03:00. | :03:03.
He also said that if Counsell had "cold-called" Abu Sayyaf, | :03:04. | :03:07.
the chances are that instead of recruiting him, they would | :03:08. | :03:11.
have taken him hostage and held him for ransom. | :03:12. | :03:17.
Still lots to come this Friday night. | :03:18. | :03:20.
Including a report into transport overspending that could | :03:21. | :03:22.
push electrification of the Midland Mainline | :03:23. | :03:24.
A taxi passenger has pleaded guilty to opening a car door which led | :03:25. | :03:36.
Sam Boulton died near Leicester railway station last July. | :03:37. | :03:43.
The taxi driver has denied a separate charge. | :03:44. | :03:45.
Simon Ward was at Leicester Magistrates' Court today | :03:46. | :03:48.
26-year-old Sam Bolton was a teacher at a school | :03:49. | :03:54.
He died on the 27th of July last year, when he collided with a taxi | :03:55. | :04:01.
Sam Boulton's family was at Leicester Magistrates' Court, | :04:02. | :04:06.
where two people faced charges in connection with the incident. | :04:07. | :04:11.
Taxi driver Farouq Bhikku, with the glasses, is 56 | :04:12. | :04:14.
He denied a charge of permitting his taxi door to be | :04:15. | :04:18.
opened so as to injure or endanger a person. | :04:19. | :04:21.
56-year-old Mandy Chapple, with the umbrella, pleaded guilty | :04:22. | :04:25.
to opening a vehicle door so as to injure | :04:26. | :04:27.
It happened when she was leaving a taxi. | :04:28. | :04:32.
She was fined ?80 by magistrates, with costs and a victim surcharge | :04:33. | :04:35.
Nigel Hallchurch, representing Mandy Chapple, said she thinks | :04:36. | :04:42.
about this all the time and is very sorry. | :04:43. | :04:46.
56-year-old taxi driver Farouq Bhikku pleaded not guilty | :04:47. | :04:49.
to permitting the opening of the car door. | :04:50. | :04:51.
His trial is due to take place on the 5th of June | :04:52. | :04:54.
Simon Ward, BBC East Midlands Today, Leicester. | :04:55. | :05:00.
Tributes have been left outside a house in Nottingham | :05:01. | :05:04.
following the death of a 13-year-old boy. | :05:05. | :05:06.
Officers were called to Sloane Drive in Bramcote on Monday. | :05:07. | :05:09.
Josh Clark was taken to hospital where he later died. | :05:10. | :05:12.
His family described him as a "very loving young boy". | :05:13. | :05:15.
A 36-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of supplying | :05:16. | :05:18.
a controlled drug and causing grievous bodily harm | :05:19. | :05:21.
Proposals to build an ?80 million bypass for Melton Mowbray | :05:22. | :05:27.
are progressing according to Leicestershire County Council. | :05:28. | :05:31.
Its ruling cabinet is set to approve a timetable to work up | :05:32. | :05:34.
plans for the route, as Councillors believe traffic jams | :05:35. | :05:37.
Studies suggest an eastern distributor road could be | :05:38. | :05:42.
the most cost effective way of easing congestion. | :05:43. | :05:46.
The public will be consulted on a preferred route. | :05:47. | :05:50.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death | :05:51. | :05:53.
of a 31-year-old man at a house in Derby. | :05:54. | :05:56.
Police were called to a property on Allen Street in Allenton just | :05:57. | :05:59.
before 6pm last night following reports a man | :06:00. | :06:02.
A 41-year-old remains in police custody. | :06:03. | :06:10.
The electrification of the Midland Mainline has been put | :06:11. | :06:13.
at risk after a massive overspend on another project. | :06:14. | :06:16.
MPs on the Public Accounts Committee say the blunder on the Great Western | :06:17. | :06:20.
In a year the cost has risen one point two billion over budget. | :06:21. | :06:27.
That they say raises doubts about future schemes. | :06:28. | :06:30.
Here's our Political editor Tony Roe. | :06:31. | :06:36.
It's the only north-south line in the country not | :06:37. | :06:38.
Long-awaited and delayed, the line is used by 13 | :06:39. | :06:42.
It's been called the East Midlands' number one investment priority | :06:43. | :06:46.
and has united politicians from both sides of the tracks. | :06:47. | :06:51.
We've got HS2 coming, a huge investment, ?55 billion. | :06:52. | :06:54.
We won't be able to reap the full benefits of that | :06:55. | :06:58.
if we don't have an electrified Midland mainline. | :06:59. | :07:00.
There's no way I'm going to let them get away | :07:01. | :07:03.
But the Commons Public Accounts Committee has raised concerns | :07:04. | :07:08.
about Network Rail the Department for Transport's ability to manage | :07:09. | :07:11.
projects in the future after what they call | :07:12. | :07:14.
Earlier this week, the Department for Transport announced which three | :07:15. | :07:21.
companies were in the running to take over the East Midlands | :07:22. | :07:24.
That's the year the line will be electrified from London to Corby. | :07:25. | :07:28.
Well, those plans are still in development, | :07:29. | :07:32.
But does that mean the work will be finished by 2023? | :07:33. | :07:39.
The rail minister said today that today, investment decisions | :07:40. | :07:42.
are continually assessed to ensure they deliver maximum | :07:43. | :07:44.
On the one hand, they have promised that we would have the Midland | :07:45. | :07:54.
The other thing is, we have got it just to coming, | :07:55. | :07:58.
We won't be able to reap the full benefits of that | :07:59. | :08:07.
if we don't have an electrified Midland mainline. | :08:08. | :08:09.
It is important we get this right, that we deliver it on time | :08:10. | :08:12.
While I would be disappointed by a pause, I'd much rather | :08:13. | :08:17.
The Public Accounts Committee is today calling for independent | :08:18. | :08:20.
assurances to be sought to make sure future electrification plans stick | :08:21. | :08:23.
to budgets and are actually worthwhile for passengers. | :08:24. | :08:33.
Plenty more to come including - a tale with a purrfect ending. | :08:34. | :08:37.
Meet Bubbles and her brood, the cat family that didn't | :08:38. | :08:40.
have the best start in life with kittens born under a bath. | :08:41. | :08:44.
Next tonight: It started with a simple idea in Nottingham | :08:45. | :08:55.
to encourage hospital patients to get out of their dressing gown or | :08:56. | :08:59.
Now it's turning into an international movement to change | :09:00. | :09:05.
the culture of what people wear when they stay in hospital. | :09:06. | :09:09.
On social media the twitter hashtag "end PJ paralysis" is thought | :09:10. | :09:14.
to have been seen by more than nine million people. | :09:15. | :09:17.
Our Health Correspondent Rob Sissons reports. | :09:18. | :09:21.
Forget your own pyjamas when you come to hospital | :09:22. | :09:23.
But the concern is that too many patients are spending too | :09:24. | :09:29.
They've got a catchphrase for it in the NHS: PJ paralysis. | :09:30. | :09:37.
Yes, at Nottingham hospital they want more patients to get | :09:38. | :09:40.
They say they will feel better and also maybe even | :09:41. | :09:44.
In your own clothes, you might be happy to go | :09:45. | :09:53.
If they were at home, they wouldn't probably have visitors | :09:54. | :09:56.
On ward B49 at the Queens medical Centre, encourage patients to get | :09:57. | :10:08.
out of their bedclothes during the day. | :10:09. | :10:10.
You feel totally different when you are getting dressed | :10:11. | :10:13.
I've bought some of my own clothes on, but I have a problem because of | :10:14. | :10:28.
my leg getting close on and off. These nurses want to see less of | :10:29. | :10:32.
what they call pyjama paralysis, but stressed that patients should always | :10:33. | :10:36.
have the choice. Many patients tell us they feel more comfortable in | :10:37. | :10:37.
their own clothes.. But on Ward C4, Jacklin has been | :10:38. | :10:42.
in hospital for clothes. But on Ward C4, Jacklin has been | :10:43. | :10:46.
in hospital for three weeks, and has If you search on Google, | :10:47. | :10:50.
and put hospital patient and, every image that comes up will be | :10:51. | :11:02.
patients in hospital They're so convinced, | :11:03. | :11:04.
they have started a new wardrobe. Some spare, donated clothes for any | :11:05. | :11:07.
patients that need them. More than 182,000 cigarettes and 43 | :11:08. | :11:16.
kilos of tobacco have been seized by customs officers after raids | :11:17. | :11:20.
across Derbyshire and Staffordshire. 18 places were found | :11:21. | :11:24.
to have suspected illegal A van and a car were also seized | :11:25. | :11:30.
by officers in Derby. A Nottingham MP is warning that | :11:31. | :11:37.
children in the city face an "unneccessary epidemic" | :11:38. | :11:40.
of tooth decay. Labour's Graham Allen is calling | :11:41. | :11:43.
for flouride to be put in the water, and more education in schools | :11:44. | :11:46.
to help tackle the issue. He also says children | :11:47. | :11:50.
in his constituency, which includes Bulwell | :11:51. | :11:52.
and Bilborough, are four times more likely to suffer problems | :11:53. | :11:55.
than in that of the Health Secretary Researchers from the University | :11:56. | :11:59.
of Leicester are exploring how the UK's changing climate could be | :12:00. | :12:05.
affecting the survival of hedgehogs. The project is funded | :12:06. | :12:10.
by the People's Trust The team will investigate | :12:11. | :12:12.
whether warmer and wetter winters are impacting on their food sources, | :12:13. | :12:17.
and their ability to survive. Now there's nothing better | :12:18. | :12:23.
than a world first - and today Newark hosted the world's | :12:24. | :12:27.
largest auction of mobile cranes. Obviously they're not necessarily | :12:28. | :12:34.
what you'd want for the school run or to nip to the shops, | :12:35. | :12:36.
but they're attracting attention Elise Chamberlain is | :12:37. | :12:39.
there for us tonight. Good evening from Newark Showground | :12:40. | :12:56.
where today history has been made. This view, while impressive, really | :12:57. | :12:59.
does not give you a sense of the scale of what was on offer here | :13:00. | :13:05.
today. Let's take a birds eye view. This drone footage was captured | :13:06. | :13:08.
ahead of the auction, and gives you much more of a sense of the size of | :13:09. | :13:13.
this collection. Every one of those cranes has now been sold. An | :13:14. | :13:18.
incredibly competitive auction, it around for hours. Within two hours, | :13:19. | :13:25.
?50 million had been spent. The last of the auctioneers and bidders have | :13:26. | :13:28.
gone home, so let's take a look back at the very busy and expensive day. | :13:29. | :13:34.
?725,000. One lot of an enormous collection going under the hammer. | :13:35. | :13:42.
Despite the rain, it attracted a huge crowd. There's a lot of money | :13:43. | :13:48.
flying and a lot of things going on. We don't take a lot of time, a | :13:49. | :13:52.
couple of minutes per crane. It will turn up -- speed up soon. It's a | :13:53. | :14:00.
disposal auction following a Manchester -based company, going | :14:01. | :14:06.
into administration. There are 130 cranes and all the ancillary items. | :14:07. | :14:11.
The value is around 130 million. The first cranes we have sold today | :14:12. | :14:17.
worse first ?700,000. We've never had this many cranes on offer | :14:18. | :14:21.
anywhere in the world. You are seeing history in the making here | :14:22. | :14:24.
today, so it's a great privilege to be part of it. A lot of people were | :14:25. | :14:30.
online because they did not want to get wet, but there is people from | :14:31. | :14:34.
all over the world. It's very stressful. You're looking at the | :14:35. | :14:41.
screen and thinking, shall I. That's that now. We have a dealer from | :14:42. | :14:48.
Holland. There is a very large choice. The biggest mobile crane | :14:49. | :14:54.
auction in Europe. It's amazing. It's like candy. A kid in the toy | :14:55. | :15:11.
shop. Sold, ?200 M! Auctioneers say these mechanical giants will now be | :15:12. | :15:15.
shipped, and will soon be looming over cities across the world. The | :15:16. | :15:24.
auctioneers expected to raise around ?30 million here today, in fact, it | :15:25. | :15:31.
reached new heights, the total estimated at around 32 million. The | :15:32. | :15:35.
Showground really has seen an incredibly unique day here. Whether | :15:36. | :15:39.
it will see another like it, we will have to wait and see. We were all | :15:40. | :15:47.
deciding what colours we would have, like men in a toy shop. | :15:48. | :16:03.
A burst water main is currently causing supply problems | :16:04. | :16:06.
in the Loughborough area of Leicestershire. | :16:07. | :16:07.
Some homes are without water after the main burst in the village | :16:08. | :16:10.
Severn Trent officials are currently at the site carrying out repairs. | :16:11. | :16:14.
We start the sport with the big question for Leicester City fans - | :16:15. | :16:18.
For now it's Craig Shakespeare in the management hot seat | :16:19. | :16:25.
but as speculation swirls and bets are made we wonder just how | :16:26. | :16:28.
He is well used to being the manager's number two, | :16:29. | :16:37.
Shakespeare is enjoying his time in the spotlight. | :16:38. | :16:42.
Standing in the touchline area on your own, having | :16:43. | :16:45.
to make the decisions, you have two things right, | :16:46. | :16:47.
It's the game that really makes you alive, and its decision-making | :16:48. | :16:52.
Support for him is strong among the players, and amongst | :16:53. | :17:00.
Who would you like to be the next Leicester City manager? | :17:01. | :17:04.
I would like Craig Shakespeare to have a go, I think | :17:05. | :17:06.
I'd rather have the continuity, so Craig Shakespeare | :17:07. | :17:09.
I think anyone else would take a little while to settle in, | :17:10. | :17:14.
I think Craig Shakespeare, with the result against Liverpool, | :17:15. | :17:18.
and obviously if we get a good result against Hull | :17:19. | :17:20.
Definitely give him a few games, at least. | :17:21. | :17:24.
Definitely sees how he gets on against Hull. | :17:25. | :17:26.
These will be the people who ultimately decide, | :17:27. | :17:29.
and several high profile names have been linked with the job. | :17:30. | :17:32.
For now, though, it's time to focus on the football. | :17:33. | :17:34.
I want to get back-to-back wins, the players want back-to-back wins, | :17:35. | :17:37.
The focus has to be on the three points. | :17:38. | :17:42.
So, no decision expected until at least next week | :17:43. | :17:46.
on who will take over this management hot seat. | :17:47. | :17:49.
But another win here against Hull tomorrow will surely keep | :17:50. | :17:51.
Angela Rafferty, BBC East Midlands Today. | :17:52. | :17:58.
Staffing developments at Nottingham Forest too - | :17:59. | :18:00.
they've got a new Director of Football. | :18:01. | :18:03.
It's Frank McParland - seen here in his days as Director | :18:04. | :18:05.
Intriguingly, he's a long term friend of recently resigned Rangers' | :18:06. | :18:10.
manager Mark Warburton and worked with Warburton as Rangers' | :18:11. | :18:12.
We know that Forest were interested in war button for the manager 's | :18:13. | :18:22.
job. Let's talk about the football itself | :18:23. | :18:23.
then - two clubs in the Championship finding recent going tough - | :18:24. | :18:26.
while two clubs in League Two enjoy Surely, Steve McClaren's play-off | :18:27. | :18:29.
dreams with Derby are all but over. However much he and the fans urge | :18:30. | :18:36.
the side on, they are now Not too sure anyone | :18:37. | :18:39.
knows, really, but... We know teams are going to sit | :18:40. | :18:47.
behind the ball and put 11 members behind the ball, | :18:48. | :18:50.
and I think as players, we need to take a bit more | :18:51. | :18:54.
responsibility and maybe try It's four without a win for forest, | :18:55. | :18:57.
and city ground high-flyers Brighton can leave them very close | :18:58. | :19:16.
to the relegation zone. I think the performances, | :19:17. | :19:18.
by and large, have been really good. We've been really pleased with games | :19:19. | :19:22.
we have performed well, and maybe not got the points | :19:23. | :19:24.
we would have liked, but we will That will get us the results | :19:25. | :19:28.
in the long run, if we And doing what we believe | :19:29. | :19:32.
are the right things. In League 2, both Mansfield | :19:33. | :19:35.
and Notts County are in the form to fancy away wins tomorrow, | :19:36. | :19:38.
and the best coverage of all the games is on your BBC | :19:39. | :19:40.
local radio station. Their action tonight at home | :19:41. | :19:46.
against Exeter and a win would send them back into the all important | :19:47. | :19:50.
Premiership Top four. In what's been a topsy-turvy season, | :19:51. | :19:54.
Tigers have suddenly put together three big wins in a row and look | :19:55. | :19:57.
like challengers again. BBC Radio Leicester | :19:58. | :20:01.
summariser Steve Johnson I think we can assume that now. | :20:02. | :20:22.
We've had three good wins under our belt after the past few weeks and we | :20:23. | :20:26.
are starting to set the pace light again. We are well on the road to | :20:27. | :20:32.
recovery. What's happened, what have the changes been about? It's | :20:33. | :20:41.
difficult to answer. Richard has been a great ambassador and leader | :20:42. | :20:45.
for the club, and has won lots of trophies, but when error in major | :20:46. | :20:52.
came in we didn't seem to gel. The players didn't have a game plan and | :20:53. | :20:56.
it was very much off the cuff and messy. But now, we seem to have | :20:57. | :21:00.
combined what Richard was bringing to the game and Aaron Meijer and we | :21:01. | :21:04.
are playing total rugby, so I'm delighted. How much fun has it been | :21:05. | :21:15.
to watch? It's been amazing, the transformation. The crowds were | :21:16. | :21:19.
dropping off, building the team only six weeks ago. Something that has | :21:20. | :21:24.
never happened before. But they seem to have brought some experienced | :21:25. | :21:29.
players back from injury. We still had two marquee players missing, | :21:30. | :21:35.
both our midfield players. We've done remarkably well to be where we | :21:36. | :21:40.
are at the moment, but might is massive because the game against | :21:41. | :21:43.
Exeter will put us back into the top four. If they get into the top four, | :21:44. | :21:52.
can they win the whole thing? The way things are going, I wouldn't put | :21:53. | :21:57.
anything past them. People have said the game against Bristol was good | :21:58. | :22:01.
and we totally dominated, but I think the way Leicester were on fire | :22:02. | :22:05.
in that game in particular, we could have beaten anybody. That's the | :22:06. | :22:09.
confidence that has come back to the players now. They are playing as a | :22:10. | :22:14.
team and with passion. Everything is going good. It's another step | :22:15. | :22:17.
tonight that puts us back in the running, we've got to play against | :22:18. | :22:22.
Bath and we've got to play against Northampton. Everything is on for | :22:23. | :22:23.
Leicester to do it. And finally a mention | :22:24. | :22:26.
for Nottingham Panthers. Face-off for them against Braehead | :22:27. | :22:28.
is tonight in about forty minutes. Still time to get | :22:29. | :22:31.
there if you're close. A pet owner's praised a City Council | :22:32. | :22:33.
worker for rescuing her cat after it Marie Opie from Nottingham | :22:34. | :22:45.
could hear the cat crying, and discovered it was under | :22:46. | :22:48.
the floor of her bathroom! A frantic call to Nottingham | :22:49. | :22:51.
City Homes brought out an emergency worker - | :22:52. | :22:54.
Dean Randall, who saved them all! Now Marie plans to call one of | :22:55. | :22:58.
the kittens "Randall" in gratitude. Bubbles the cat and her | :22:59. | :23:01.
four newborn kittens are safe with their owner, | :23:02. | :23:10.
Marie, now. But the bath panel now outside | :23:11. | :23:11.
the bathroom is a clue Two days ago, Marie came | :23:12. | :23:14.
in from work to hear the cat crying. I walked in the bathroom, | :23:15. | :23:18.
the bath panel was on the floor. I could hear the cries from under | :23:19. | :23:23.
the floorboards in the bathroom. Then Marie found Bubbles trapped, | :23:24. | :23:26.
and trying to dig through I panicked, I didn't | :23:27. | :23:32.
know what to do. A frantic call to Nottingham | :23:33. | :23:37.
City Homes bought out emergency worker Dean, | :23:38. | :23:43.
only on his third stand-by shift. Marie recorded Dean, | :23:44. | :23:47.
who spotted the hole, I had to literally push it back | :23:48. | :23:49.
in, so it didn't fall. The rest of the kittens | :23:50. | :23:56.
were safe after that. It was literally making the tenant | :23:57. | :24:02.
happy and making them understand We didn't need to do any | :24:03. | :24:06.
work on the floorboards, it was basically just | :24:07. | :24:11.
leaving her there to nest Have you ever done | :24:12. | :24:13.
anything like that before? The cats are well, | :24:14. | :24:17.
the babies are well. I phoned the council to say thank | :24:18. | :24:27.
you, because without them I don't The council have come | :24:28. | :24:30.
back to see the kittens. I'd like to see a little kitten | :24:31. | :24:35.
named after me, that would be good. Bubbles and kittens are now relaxed, | :24:36. | :24:44.
but Marie is keeping the bathroom door firmly shut in case she heads | :24:45. | :24:47.
under the bathroom Well, we've seen the biggest crane | :24:48. | :24:49.
auction in the world and now the biggest clothes sale of its kind | :24:50. | :25:04.
in the country. With more than four | :25:05. | :25:06.
thousand garments, shoes and accessories the Rutland Good | :25:07. | :25:08.
and New Clothes Sale has been raising money | :25:09. | :25:10.
for more than fifty years. Thanks to the volunteers | :25:11. | :25:12.
and supporters they've been able to make a real difference | :25:13. | :25:14.
to the lives of many We'll have more on the work they do | :25:15. | :25:17.
on Monday nights programme. Apparently everything is half price | :25:18. | :25:31.
if you get there before lunchtime tomorrow. | :25:32. | :25:33.
You certainly wanted your first coat today. Quite a soggy end to the week | :25:34. | :25:44.
and you can see that here. This band of rain coming up from the South has | :25:45. | :25:48.
been quite heavy at points. We can see the next weather front starting | :25:49. | :25:52.
to produce some rain here in the West. As we go through into the | :25:53. | :25:57.
weekend, what can we expect? Quite unsettled. Some outbreaks of rain | :25:58. | :26:03.
but not a wash out at all. We will see some brighter spells as well. | :26:04. | :26:09.
Here's what's going on in the bigger picture. Low pressure in charge. | :26:10. | :26:14.
That will clear out into Saturday but it won't be long before we see | :26:15. | :26:17.
the next weather fronts bringing some outbreaks of rain. A few heavy | :26:18. | :26:24.
showers to look out for through this evening, as we move through the | :26:25. | :26:29.
night that rain becoming a bit more patchy. Still some heavy bursts as | :26:30. | :26:34.
well and lots of cloud around. Temperatures falling to an overnight | :26:35. | :26:38.
low of between six and 7 degrees. Tomorrow morning, it will be a | :26:39. | :26:43.
fairly cloudy start. We see that rain cleared out to the east but | :26:44. | :26:46.
there will be some bright intervals around. Some sand. Temperatures | :26:47. | :26:52.
reaching a maximum of 10 degrees. Some isolated showers to look out | :26:53. | :26:55.
for as well. A south-westerly breeze. Into Sunday, a bright start | :26:56. | :27:02.
first thing but then that band of rain coming across will be quite | :27:03. | :27:08.
heavy. A few brighter intervals but one or two heavy showers to look out | :27:09. | :27:13.
for. Temperatures slightly cooler on Sunday. A maximum of 8 degrees. I'll | :27:14. | :27:18.
leave you with the outlook. We are quite unsettled into the next week. | :27:19. | :27:27.
Still some out lakes of rain. I think you need chocolate and a | :27:28. | :27:33.
movie, don't go out. Stick with us all weekend. Will have the results | :27:34. | :27:34.
of the Leicester game as well. Cake-a-bake? Yeah. | :27:35. | :27:37.
What is that? It's like bake a cake, | :27:38. | :28:12.
but we flipped it. Oh, my God, we love flipping. | :28:13. | :28:14.
Cake-a-bake. Cake-a-baking. I love it. | :28:15. | :28:16.
I so love it when this happens. 15 celebrity acts | :28:17. | :28:20.
are coming together to Sing And Dance | :28:21. | :28:23.
For Comic Relief. | :28:24. | :28:27. |
