It's almost 6.30 - you're watching East Midlands Today. | :00:00. | :00:07.
Tonight - one of Derby's longest running industrial | :00:08. | :00:09.
After all the strikes, protests and marches, Derby's teaching assistants | :00:10. | :00:23.
are finally going back to school after accepting the council's latest | :00:24. | :00:31.
offer. Also tonight, not guilty. The retired teacher accused of raping a | :00:32. | :00:39.
girl almost 30 years ago. Plus, the women offenders given an alternative | :00:40. | :00:44.
to prison. If I didn't have this, I'd be in prison and this has given | :00:45. | :00:49.
me a chance to turn my life around. And join me at the best cafe in | :00:50. | :00:57.
Leicester where they serve the most delicious... Cake! | :00:58. | :01:08.
Did evening to you. Welcome to the programme. | :01:09. | :01:12.
It's taken ten months of industrial action which has seen schools closed | :01:13. | :01:15.
and children missing lessons, but the long running dispute | :01:16. | :01:18.
between Derby's school support staff and the city council | :01:19. | :01:22.
The row began after the authority imposed new contracts on | :01:23. | :01:29.
teaching assistants and other staff, which meant they lost up | :01:30. | :01:32.
They've now voted to accept the terms of the council's latest offer. | :01:33. | :01:36.
Strikes, protests, and demonstrations. This long, bitter | :01:37. | :01:55.
dispute has been conducted with the volume raised. The council leader | :01:56. | :02:00.
hasn't held back. But today both sides were singing from the same | :02:01. | :02:07.
hymn sheet. I'm delighted as an individual and on behalf of the | :02:08. | :02:13.
council and the city. We can put that behind us and school support | :02:14. | :02:17.
staff and teaching assistants can go back to school. Absolutely delighted | :02:18. | :02:24.
for our members. We never wanted to take industrial action but felt we | :02:25. | :02:29.
had to. They have stuck together and it has ultimately resulted in this | :02:30. | :02:35.
offer. The offer includes a ?2 million package paid using council | :02:36. | :02:42.
reserves. It will include one-off payments to the worst affected staff | :02:43. | :02:48.
and the reinstatement of 52 week contracts. Parents we spoke to had | :02:49. | :02:54.
mixed feelings about the news. I understand they got quite a good | :02:55. | :02:59.
offer. Why put is through 60 days of strikes if they are going to give | :03:00. | :03:03.
them what they wanted anyway. I'm pleased both sides are happy. We are | :03:04. | :03:10.
happy. Hopefully it is not going to happen again. I ended up leaving my | :03:11. | :03:14.
job because of the strike because I had no child care. Does the council | :03:15. | :03:24.
over an apology because of the disruption caused? I apologise to | :03:25. | :03:29.
anyone impacted by this. It's not something we take lightly. Some | :03:30. | :03:36.
details are still to be agreed but we are unlikely to see these scenes | :03:37. | :03:37.
again. Still to come this evening - | :03:38. | :03:40.
an alternative to prison. The classroom sessions helping women | :03:41. | :03:43.
turn their lives around. Plus, why we are being urged to swap | :03:44. | :03:46.
the high-fat takeaway A retired teacher from | :03:47. | :03:49.
Nottinghamshire has been found not guilty of three historical | :03:50. | :04:05.
child sex offences. Three women accused | :04:06. | :04:09.
Christopher Metcalfe of targeting them while they were girls | :04:10. | :04:12.
in his care. Our Social Affairs | :04:13. | :04:14.
Correspondent, Jeremy Ball, The trial's finished today, | :04:15. | :04:16.
so what happened to the other Well, the jury here | :04:17. | :04:23.
failed to reach verdicts. On two counts of indecently | :04:24. | :04:32.
assaulting different girls, Because of that, the jury has been | :04:33. | :04:36.
discharged this evening. But Mr Metcalfe left court, | :04:37. | :04:48.
knowing he's been cleared, on all the other charges | :04:49. | :04:51.
he was facing. They included an allegation | :04:52. | :04:52.
that he raped a teenager, from the old Skegby Hall children's | :04:53. | :04:55.
home, where he was working. She claimed he attacked her | :04:56. | :04:57.
in his front room, on this street But he said they simply | :04:58. | :05:00.
dropped his dogs off there, as he gave her a lift | :05:01. | :05:03.
to college So what else did | :05:04. | :05:05.
the jury decide today? They also returned not guilty | :05:06. | :05:13.
verdicts on two further counts One woman said | :05:14. | :05:15.
she was only nine or ten when she claimed she was | :05:16. | :05:30.
touched inappropriately. While Mr Metcalfe | :05:31. | :05:32.
read a story to his primary school | :05:33. | :05:34.
class near Mansfield. The jury also cleared him | :05:35. | :05:36.
of indecently assaulting another young girl, on a farm | :05:37. | :05:40.
where he lived in South Normanton. And the prosecution's been given | :05:41. | :05:43.
three weeks to decide whether to pursue | :05:44. | :05:45.
those two outstanding charges. Nottinghamshire Police say they've | :05:46. | :05:50.
received "a lot of information" following yesterdays appeal | :05:51. | :05:56.
to missing mum Samantha Baldwin. Samantha from Newark | :05:57. | :05:58.
went missing last Monday. It's believed she's with her | :05:59. | :06:01.
two boys, six-year-old Louis Her disappearance comes | :06:02. | :06:04.
after a family court removed the children from Samantha's care | :06:05. | :06:10.
and made them wards of court. they're pursuing many | :06:11. | :06:13.
lines of enquiry. There is a lot of different types of | :06:14. | :06:28.
investigation ongoing with regard to this enquiry. Some of which we can't | :06:29. | :06:33.
speak about but the biggest thing is about keeping this widely open so | :06:34. | :06:38.
people are aware they are still missing and it is really important | :06:39. | :06:41.
she gets in contact or anyone who knows her get in contact. | :06:42. | :06:45.
Leicester Prison is to become the first in the UK to broadcast | :06:46. | :06:48.
an event where volunteers speak to inmates. | :06:49. | :06:49.
Ted X is an international movement, where people from all kinds | :06:50. | :06:53.
An event was held at Leicester's Curve theatre last year. | :06:54. | :06:58.
The talk next month will be about how to stop re-offending. | :06:59. | :07:01.
Two years ago inspectors rated the prison as one | :07:02. | :07:03.
It's now ranked 40th after being placed at 101st. | :07:04. | :07:10.
Two youths have been staging a protest on the roof of a house | :07:11. | :07:13.
in Nottingham for more than ten hours. | :07:14. | :07:16.
Police with riot shields were called to Cloister Street | :07:17. | :07:20.
near the Queen's Medical Centre when the youths began | :07:21. | :07:22.
Officers were in the area as part of an investigation into a burglary. | :07:23. | :07:28.
A number of residents have been moved from their homes | :07:29. | :07:31.
People are being advised to stay away from the area. | :07:32. | :07:38.
Next tonight we give a rare voice to a group of women | :07:39. | :07:41.
They've avoided prison because they've agreed to take part | :07:42. | :07:45.
Instead of being locked up, they go back to the classroom | :07:46. | :07:50.
where they learn how not to re-offend. | :07:51. | :07:52.
Many of them are themselves victims having suffered abuse. | :07:53. | :07:55.
It's being run by the Probation Service who say, although there's no | :07:56. | :07:58.
excuse for offending, hundreds of women are now | :07:59. | :08:00.
When they was passing sentence, I just couldn't take anything in. | :08:01. | :08:09.
As I was in the dock, the judges came out and they passed | :08:10. | :08:16.
the sentence and, at first, I thought they was going to sentence | :08:17. | :08:19.
I've been sent here through the courts to do this, | :08:20. | :08:30.
Here, they learn ways to avoid reoffending. | :08:31. | :08:37.
Do you remember how we looked at challenging some | :08:38. | :08:39.
We spend a couple of hours a week thinking about, | :08:40. | :08:44.
Does that make me happy and, if not, how can I change that? | :08:45. | :08:56.
So far, it's helped around 300 women across the East Midlands. | :08:57. | :08:59.
Because they have children, we've agreed to protect | :09:00. | :09:06.
Their offences range from drugs to common assault. | :09:07. | :09:09.
If I didn't have this, I'd be in prison and this has just | :09:10. | :09:12.
It's made me feel better, my behaviour's better, | :09:13. | :09:15.
The vast majority of women are in prison for a nonviolent offence. | :09:16. | :09:20.
Nearly half of them suffer anxiety and depression. | :09:21. | :09:24.
Just over half were abused as children and a similar number | :09:25. | :09:26.
When women go to prison, it might just be for a couple | :09:27. | :09:31.
of weeks but in that time, they may lose their home, | :09:32. | :09:34.
they may lose their children, they probably lose their jobs. | :09:35. | :09:36.
Doing these programmes, are not about losing | :09:37. | :09:46.
things they are about, saying, OK, how can | :09:47. | :09:48.
how can I make sure I don't end up in this situation ever again? | :09:49. | :09:54.
I'm not doing the things I was doing. | :09:55. | :09:55.
I'm meeting new people, getting out. So, yeah, it's helped me loads. | :09:56. | :10:01.
Do you think, crucially, it will stop you reoffending? | :10:02. | :10:04.
Yeah. Yeah. | :10:05. | :10:05.
Why? Just with the help and support. | :10:06. | :10:07.
I feel a lot better. It's like a family. | :10:08. | :10:10.
And the probation service that started the training say it seems | :10:11. | :10:12.
to be keeping many more people out of trouble and out of prison. | :10:13. | :10:16.
Jo Healy, BBC East Midlands today at Nottingham women's centre. | :10:17. | :10:20.
With us now is Paula Whelan, from the Community | :10:21. | :10:23.
You work on behalf of the government to help women to avoid re-offending. | :10:24. | :10:32.
Among women, they have been going up. How confident are you that this | :10:33. | :10:41.
scheme will work? Very confident. We have feedback from women saying they | :10:42. | :10:45.
have changed their lives around for the better and many women who finish | :10:46. | :10:50.
the programme have done peer mentoring training to help support | :10:51. | :10:55.
other women to stay out of trouble as well. Many of these women are | :10:56. | :11:01.
from very vulnerable places themselves. Absolutely. Many have | :11:02. | :11:06.
experienced child sex abuse or domestic abuse as adults. They've | :11:07. | :11:12.
had very difficult experiences, trauma, that needs to be handled | :11:13. | :11:16.
very carefully in the work that is done with them. In terms of this | :11:17. | :11:24.
scheme, people might say this is women getting special treatment? It | :11:25. | :11:30.
is absolutely not a case of specialist treatment. We have | :11:31. | :11:34.
programmes aimed towards men and historically because of the smaller | :11:35. | :11:39.
number of women in custody and the criminal justice system, most of the | :11:40. | :11:46.
work has been designed to help men and women have been forgotten along | :11:47. | :11:50.
the way. This is to counteract that and give them the support they need. | :11:51. | :11:56.
Does this continue in their lives so cases of reoffending don't come | :11:57. | :12:02.
back? Absolutely. Once they finish the programmes we commission they | :12:03. | :12:05.
can continue attending the centre and access what is there. Also, we | :12:06. | :12:12.
provide support with employment, training, education with other | :12:13. | :12:16.
partners that we work with. It sounds like a great scheme. Thank | :12:17. | :12:18.
you very much indeed. Still to come this evening - | :12:19. | :12:21.
an alternative to prison. And the cafe serving up tea and cake | :12:22. | :12:36.
with a nice hot brew. One in five people in | :12:37. | :12:48.
the East Midlands could be risking potentially fatal health problems | :12:49. | :12:51.
due to their love of takeaways. That's according to | :12:52. | :12:55.
a national charity partnership. It's warning that regularly eating | :12:56. | :12:57.
fast-food, increases the chances of developing conditions like type 2 | :12:58. | :12:59.
diabetes and heart disease. So - it's urging us | :13:00. | :13:01.
to swap the "takeaway" Carolyn Moses has been | :13:02. | :13:03.
finding out more. Paying for a takeaway? It seems our | :13:04. | :13:13.
obsession with fast food could risk that happening. The high salt, high | :13:14. | :13:19.
fat content in many meals is worsening our health. In the world | :13:20. | :13:24.
of choice, this is the firm favourite with a quarter of others | :13:25. | :13:30.
preferring the Chinese takeaway. An average portion of spring rolls and | :13:31. | :13:36.
a sweet and sour chicken and rice is an astonishing 2200 calories. That | :13:37. | :13:40.
according to health campaigners is the problem. Takeaway foods tend to | :13:41. | :13:46.
be high in fat, calories and assault. We know that these | :13:47. | :13:51.
nutrients in excess are likely to cause health problems such as type | :13:52. | :13:56.
two diabetes and heart and circulatory disease. That is why we | :13:57. | :13:59.
are trying to support people to create healthy versions of takeaway | :14:00. | :14:07.
is. Alongside traditional fish and chips, this offers fish in light | :14:08. | :14:15.
flour, salad and fish cooked in rapeseed oil. We felt we had a moral | :14:16. | :14:22.
obligation to customers to not necessarily make them think they are | :14:23. | :14:26.
coming in for healthier fish and chips but just giving them healthier | :14:27. | :14:30.
dish in chips and slowly educating them that there is a healthier | :14:31. | :14:35.
option for a fish and chip takeaway. But how many people would choose a | :14:36. | :14:42.
takeaway over a home-cooked version or fake-away? Takeaway, it's easier. | :14:43. | :14:50.
We need to make it ourselves because of money, we are students. Takeaway, | :14:51. | :15:01.
it's quicker. Takeaway to save messing about. Did you realise it | :15:02. | :15:09.
had 2200 calories? I didn't realise that. That is a lot of calories! A | :15:10. | :15:17.
lot of work to do before most of others bring home a healthier | :15:18. | :15:23.
outlook. We are all a bit hungry in here now. | :15:24. | :15:26.
A man who dumped muck on the steps of Derby Crown Court has been | :15:27. | :15:29.
ordered to pay more than twelve hundred pounds in fines | :15:30. | :15:32.
Charles Hirons used a tractor and muck spreader outside | :15:33. | :15:35.
The 49-year-old, who's from Draycott, pleaded guilty | :15:36. | :15:44.
at Derby Magistrates Court to a charge of causing | :15:45. | :15:46.
Two Islamic leaders from Leicester met Pope Francis in Rome today. | :15:47. | :15:51.
Head Imam at Leicester central Mosque, Muhammad Shahid Raza | :15:52. | :15:53.
and Shayk Ibrahim Mogra were part of a delegation led by | :15:54. | :15:57.
the Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Vincent Nichols. | :15:58. | :16:00.
It was part of an effort to improve interfaith dialogue between Islam | :16:01. | :16:04.
The Queen has paid tribute to a cavalry regiment which recruits | :16:05. | :16:10.
Her Majesty handed over a heraldic banner, or guidon, as it's known, | :16:11. | :16:16.
to the the Royal Lancers in a ceremony at Windsor Castle. | :16:17. | :16:19.
She said the Lancers were a "force without match" and their loyalty | :16:20. | :16:23.
and devotion had never found to be wanting over more than 300 years. | :16:24. | :16:28.
Derby City Council is to build a 33 million pound leisure complex | :16:29. | :16:32.
on the site of the old Moorways pool which was controversially | :16:33. | :16:35.
The new facility will have three pools - one will be | :16:36. | :16:42.
It's hoped that'll attract international | :16:43. | :16:45.
The complex will open in three years time as Carol Hinds reports. | :16:46. | :16:52.
There are no artist impressions yet of the new facility that will | :16:53. | :16:56.
replace Moorways but Derbyshire City Council has a clear vision. | :16:57. | :17:01.
50 metre, ten lane swimming pool, a separate learning pool and then | :17:02. | :17:06.
also we'll have leisure water which will | :17:07. | :17:08.
have lots of play equipment for younger children, as well as that | :17:09. | :17:13.
there will be 150 stations in the gymnasium and a cafeteria. | :17:14. | :17:16.
The team behind the city of Derby swimming | :17:17. | :17:22.
club are bouyant about the new facility. | :17:23. | :17:24.
In terms of the training facilities it will offer but also | :17:25. | :17:29.
the wider opportunities in Derby for swimming, | :17:30. | :17:31.
developing swimming, encouraging swimming in Derby and | :17:32. | :17:32.
bringing the swimming world to Derby with the competition potential of | :17:33. | :17:35.
But the new complex will come at a price. | :17:36. | :17:38.
Around ?15 million over the original allocated | :17:39. | :17:40.
We will look at potentially borrowing more, | :17:41. | :17:46.
grants which we may be able to draw down and we'll look at, maybe, | :17:47. | :17:49.
partner organisations who may want to join us. | :17:50. | :17:52.
This will be the home of the swimming club where Olympic gold | :17:53. | :17:55.
Members are currently travelling out of the city to find a training pool. | :17:56. | :18:04.
If we do get the access that we are proposed | :18:05. | :18:06.
ability to produce better swimmers would be there. | :18:07. | :18:12.
City councillors will meet next Wednesday. | :18:13. | :18:15.
They are expected to approve plans for | :18:16. | :18:17.
Sounds like good news for Derby, eventually. Adam Peaty there, | :18:18. | :18:33.
swimming. Leeds is neatly into sport. | :18:34. | :18:35.
The goals from the Championship coming up - but there's no | :18:36. | :18:38.
Craig Shakespeare made it six wins from six games since he took over | :18:39. | :18:44.
A week tonight - they'll be in Madrid for the Champions League. | :18:45. | :18:48.
But for now - a chance to reflect on yet another victory. | :18:49. | :18:51.
So Craig Shakespeare had another good night. | :18:52. | :18:52.
Sunderland's manager David Moyes another bad one. | :18:53. | :18:55.
He's been caught up this week in a sexism | :18:56. | :18:57.
His team can't score, can't win, and are bottom of the | :18:58. | :19:03.
It was a double substitution in the second half which changed | :19:04. | :19:07.
Both the subs paired up for the first goal. | :19:08. | :19:15.
Albrighton with the cross, Slimani with the header. | :19:16. | :19:17.
From then on, Leicester started to dominate. | :19:18. | :19:19.
Albrighton was again key to the second. | :19:20. | :19:20.
He provided the hard work and the setup. | :19:21. | :19:23.
Vardy scored his fifth in five games, clinical. | :19:24. | :19:26.
As Leicester's we surgeons continues, | :19:27. | :19:29.
and Craig Shakespeare earns more praise. | :19:30. | :19:31.
Not just only for me, I think for the owners, for the fans, | :19:32. | :19:34.
but also, most importantly, the players because, you know, we're | :19:35. | :19:37.
here to try and win football matches and that's what it's about and | :19:38. | :19:40.
that's what we're doing at the moment. | :19:41. | :19:42.
Leicester may make changes for Sunday's game against Everton | :19:43. | :19:46.
with the Champions League quarterfinal in Madrid | :19:47. | :19:48.
A good win for the Foxes, but the game of the night | :19:49. | :19:54.
Six goals, a hat-trick for David Nugent, and Gary Rowett's | :19:55. | :19:58.
Fulham arrived at pride Park hoping to tighten their grip on a | :19:59. | :20:12.
championship way off place. But Derby and David Nugent had other | :20:13. | :20:17.
ideas. His first goal arrived after eight minutes. The pass was good, | :20:18. | :20:24.
the finish better. Full equalised, a reward for their response after | :20:25. | :20:29.
going behind before Nugent had the chance to restore Derby's lead. His | :20:30. | :20:38.
effort was saved. He made amends from the resulting corner. A smart | :20:39. | :20:42.
finish over the shoulder for number two. He didn't need any help from | :20:43. | :20:51.
his team-mates on this one. His endeavour rewarded with his first | :20:52. | :20:57.
match ball for five years and just his second career trouble. A mistake | :20:58. | :21:02.
from the Fulham goalkeeper paved the way for Johnny Russell to fire home. | :21:03. | :21:10.
Even a second for the visitors didn't take the shine of the win. | :21:11. | :21:14.
Derby seven points off the play-offs with six games to go. | :21:15. | :21:18.
It was another frustrating night for Nottingham Forest. | :21:19. | :21:20.
They played well again at Wolves - but ended up losing. | :21:21. | :21:23.
Thankfully for them, their relegation rivals also lost - | :21:24. | :21:26.
leaving Forest two points above the drop zone. | :21:27. | :21:28.
Forest had again been impressive - and might well have taken | :21:29. | :21:31.
the lead on the hour as the Wolves defence struggled. | :21:32. | :21:33.
And within a minute had scored the only goal of the night - | :21:34. | :21:39.
that leaves Forest uncomfortably close to the drop zone. | :21:40. | :21:44.
Tennis and Nottingham-based Dan Evans will be a key member | :21:45. | :21:49.
of Britain's Davis Cup team to play France in | :21:50. | :21:51.
Andy Murray's injured, so Evans is likely to play | :21:52. | :21:55.
And Derby teenager Jay Clarke is also with the team | :21:56. | :21:59.
He's been drafted in to train with the squad. | :22:00. | :22:05.
It's great being with these guys every day. My level is improving. | :22:06. | :22:15.
You can't beat this experience. There are not many things that can | :22:16. | :22:21.
beat it, really. That's it for tonight. Tomorrow, the start of the | :22:22. | :22:28.
cricket season is upon us. No way! What wonderful news. It is lovely | :22:29. | :22:29.
and summary. There aren't many things in life | :22:30. | :22:35.
that beat the simple pleasures And now at one school in Leicester, | :22:36. | :22:38.
this Great British past-time is helping to teach new skills | :22:39. | :22:43.
to young people with profound That's because Nether Hall School | :22:44. | :22:45.
in the city has opened a caf , which also caters for residents | :22:46. | :22:50.
from a local residential home. A pop-up cafe with a difference | :22:51. | :22:54.
at Nether Hall school in Leicester. every fortnight, students | :22:55. | :23:10.
here welcome residents from a residential home to eat | :23:11. | :23:12.
the cakes they've baked and then Students, have you all said | :23:13. | :23:15.
good afternoon to everyone? Good afternoon. | :23:16. | :23:20.
Good afternoon. It just gives the children | :23:21. | :23:21.
the chance to develop their life skills and their working skills | :23:22. | :23:25.
so that they can get employment when they're older, | :23:26. | :23:28.
learning basic kitchen hygiene and learning how to deal | :23:29. | :23:30.
with members of the public and it's really about skilling them for life | :23:31. | :23:36.
so that they've got more opportunities | :23:37. | :23:40.
when they leave school. It's a new idea which is working | :23:41. | :23:42.
well, students are happy and so it It's nice to get out and meet | :23:43. | :23:45.
people, different people. The children are absolutely | :23:46. | :23:49.
brilliant, aren't they? Very, very nice because the students | :23:50. | :23:53.
are students, that's enough. Running the cafe teaches pupils | :23:54. | :23:59.
new skills, from concentrating I learned to make a hot | :24:00. | :24:01.
drink of tea and coffee. I mean, look at the faces | :24:02. | :24:11.
of the students and the residents. They're so happy | :24:12. | :24:18.
that the main thing. That's the reason we're | :24:19. | :24:20.
doing it every week. They get so much out of it | :24:21. | :24:24.
and we're very grateful that they have this opportunity | :24:25. | :24:27.
to work together. By this summer, the cafe hopes | :24:28. | :24:29.
to have made enough money to take all the students out | :24:30. | :24:32.
for afternoon tea. Here, they are happy to work | :24:33. | :24:34.
and every shift ends with a reward. What a great way to end the working | :24:35. | :24:38.
day because the wages It's good. Victoria Hicks with a | :24:39. | :25:01.
Victoria sponge. There's been so much food on this programme. We've | :25:02. | :25:06.
had fish and chips, we've had cake. And now Mel with another treat. You | :25:07. | :25:18.
are very kind. Where the cloud has broken, we've had some spring | :25:19. | :25:23.
sunshine. Lots of blue sky around this morning before cloud started to | :25:24. | :25:28.
spill in from the North West. Not quite as extensive as we'd initially | :25:29. | :25:33.
thought. It was quite fragmented allowing decent spells of sunshine | :25:34. | :25:37.
to peep through. High pressure remains in charge over the next few | :25:38. | :25:43.
days. Its finance settled. We'll be chasing the cloud. Plenty of breaks | :25:44. | :25:49.
allowing for spells of spring sunshine to peep through. For most | :25:50. | :25:54.
others, a fair amount of cloud throughout the night. Any lengthy | :25:55. | :25:59.
clear spells through the night will mean temperatures drop down close to | :26:00. | :26:06.
freezing in the sheltered wrought spots. On the whole, lows of seven | :26:07. | :26:12.
or eight Celsius. Tomorrow, little changes. The cloud will lift and | :26:13. | :26:17.
break to allow a few brighter spells. The wind will be lighter. | :26:18. | :26:25.
Temperatures not doing badly. Highs of around 11 Celsius. A repeat | :26:26. | :26:30.
performance into Friday. The cloud will break a little more readily so | :26:31. | :26:36.
most of us seeing sunshine from time to time. Then, change on the cards. | :26:37. | :26:42.
The high-pressure drifts down to the continent allowing warm air in from | :26:43. | :26:47.
the continent. Temperatures will be on the rise. On the end of Sunday, | :26:48. | :26:56.
temperatures of around 18 Celsius. Some extra sport news. | :26:57. | :26:59.
If you were watching last night we bought | :27:00. | :27:01.
you the story of Travis Hackett, the young Leicester City fan | :27:02. | :27:03.
from America, who got the chance to see his team play up close. | :27:04. | :27:07.
Travis, is a cancer patient who has been watching the Leicester City | :27:08. | :27:09.
Well last night he was at the King Power Stadium. | :27:10. | :27:14.
Not only that, he was a team mascot and showed off his own | :27:15. | :27:17.
And of course, to make the night even more special, | :27:18. | :27:22.
Leicester beat Sunderland by two goals to nil. | :27:23. | :27:28.
I reckon he could pass on some of those skills. Remember the Harlem | :27:29. | :27:36.
globetrotter is? They could do that. I've always wanted | :27:37. | :27:37.
CHILD: This is a major scientific breakthrough. | :27:38. | :28:04.
Hello. It's All Round to Mrs Brown's, where my guests will be | :28:05. | :28:20. |
