The up in a case tonight. Praise from the Prime Minister for the new | :00:10. | :00:12.
free schools, but could there be dozens more? | :00:12. | :00:15.
This free school like all the others is born from a real passion | :00:15. | :00:24.
for education. A belief in its power to change lives. | :00:24. | :00:30.
Welcome to the programme. All so tonight: 10 years on and | :00:30. | :00:32.
remembering 9/11 with the United States Air Force. | :00:32. | :00:37.
A woman dies after a crash between a fire engine and a car in a busy | :00:37. | :00:40.
town centre. And why the time machine keeps | :00:40. | :00:50.
:00:50. | :00:52. | ||
heading for Northampton. Up and | :00:52. | :00:56.
First tonight, the Prime Minister has used a visit to this region to | :00:56. | :00:58.
predict that hundreds of Free Schools will soon be opening across | :00:58. | :01:01.
the country. The venue for his speech - the newly-opened Free | :01:01. | :01:07.
School in Norwich. It's one of 24 nationally, three of which are in | :01:07. | :01:10.
this region. The other two - Moorlands School in Luton and the | :01:10. | :01:13.
Stour Valley Community School at Clare in Suffolk. Free Schools are | :01:13. | :01:15.
typically set up from scratch by parents, teachers, charities or | :01:15. | :01:20.
faith groups. They're not run by the local councils. And they've | :01:20. | :01:23.
proved very controversial. Even within the Coalition for example, | :01:23. | :01:27.
many Lib Dems are against them. So could there really be hundreds | :01:28. | :01:33.
more? Well the latest figures show a lot of inquiries across the East. | :01:33. | :01:36.
In a moment a profile of one of those interested schools, but first | :01:36. | :01:46.
:01:46. | :01:47. | ||
our political correspondent Andrew Sinclair with the Prime Minister. | :01:47. | :01:51.
The Prime Minister always enjoys getting away from London and | :01:52. | :01:56.
meeting real people, even setter if they are part of the scheme which | :01:56. | :02:00.
his Government is championing and which he believes is going well. | :02:00. | :02:05.
The kids in a section are from all over Norwich? So Norwich free | :02:05. | :02:09.
school was set up by parents and teachers, its aim to provide | :02:09. | :02:14.
affordable child care as well as a high standard of primary education. | :02:14. | :02:17.
The Prime Minister believes this way of running schools has a lot to | :02:17. | :02:22.
offer. I don't think anyone who sends their children to were the | :02:22. | :02:25.
schools have anything to fear. It is a good thing there will be more | :02:25. | :02:31.
choice, competition and rising standards. It is free of local | :02:31. | :02:34.
authority control, but where are the checks and balances to ensure | :02:34. | :02:39.
the standard of teaching is good? have never met a parent who wants a | :02:39. | :02:43.
bad education for their children. These parents think it will provide | :02:43. | :02:47.
their children with a great education. His audience of Teachers, | :02:47. | :02:51.
governors and parents were largely in favour of free schools but there | :02:51. | :02:55.
is a lot of opposition. The teaching unions worry about the | :02:55. | :02:58.
standard and consistency of teaching and Labour councillors | :02:58. | :03:03.
worry about the loss of local authority control and the cost. | :03:03. | :03:07.
million for the school would have done amazing things to local | :03:07. | :03:12.
schools like replacing windows. It is so sad they have used it for | :03:12. | :03:17.
this purpose. The Prime Minister believes free schools and academies, | :03:17. | :03:20.
bodies are aware there is more local control our way of driving up | :03:20. | :03:26.
standards. But, he still got a lot of people to win over. | :03:26. | :03:29.
At the moment we've got three Free Schools in this region. But nearly | :03:29. | :03:33.
80 more could open this time next year because that's how many groups | :03:33. | :03:36.
have expressed an interest. Among them, parents with children at a | :03:36. | :03:41.
middle school at Brandon in Suffolk. So, why and how? This report is | :03:41. | :03:51.
:03:51. | :03:52. | ||
from Mike Liggins. Did we say dictionary? Mrs Cox is | :03:52. | :03:56.
taking year six at this middle school, the subject this morning - | :03:57. | :04:02.
spelling, which on the whole looks pretty good. And the council's | :04:02. | :04:06.
plans to reorganise education in the county, the school is closing | :04:06. | :04:14.
next year. And that is why, former parent Gordon, stepped in to form | :04:14. | :04:17.
an educational trust in a bid to keep the secondary school in | :04:17. | :04:23.
Brandon. It is called Sabres, which stands for Save Britain's schools. | :04:23. | :04:28.
He it will be closing in 2012, but it needs to be a future for the | :04:28. | :04:32.
town and there needs to be secondary education for the town. | :04:32. | :04:37.
Our group is here to ensure it is achieved. The trust, which is made | :04:37. | :04:41.
up of parents, staff and local councillors have spent the last 16 | :04:41. | :04:45.
months working on the project. If it goes to plan, and education | :04:45. | :04:49.
provider, which could be a private company or a charity will run the | :04:49. | :04:54.
school. The staff, including the headteacher will have to reapply | :04:54. | :05:00.
for their own jobs. Isn't that a bit odd? Very odd, very strange. | :05:00. | :05:05.
But it will be a different schools with a different system, 11-16. At | :05:05. | :05:11.
the moment we on 9-13. It is a change, something new. His everyone | :05:11. | :05:17.
in favour of this becoming a free school? The answer is No. Some in | :05:17. | :05:21.
the teaching unions say such schools which stay in the state | :05:21. | :05:26.
system could suffer. When a free school is set up there is a major | :05:26. | :05:31.
risk the local secondary schools, local high schools could end up | :05:31. | :05:34.
suffering a fall in pupil numbers and therefore potentially put them | :05:34. | :05:41.
at risk and that says what in terms of this parental choice? At Crandon, | :05:41. | :05:44.
the members of the Educational Trust still have a lot of work to | :05:44. | :05:48.
do, but they are hoping the Educational Secretary will give | :05:48. | :05:55.
them the go-ahead for a new free school in early January. | :05:55. | :05:58.
Let's speak to Andrew Sinclair who's here in the studio. Are free | :05:58. | :06:05.
schools here to stay? I think they are. The Prime | :06:05. | :06:08.
Minister said free schools had taken off in a way no one had | :06:08. | :06:13.
imagined. There have been 280 application across the country to | :06:14. | :06:18.
open free schools next year. The idea of taking schools out of local | :06:18. | :06:21.
authority control and giving parents are more of a say over | :06:21. | :06:26.
their children's education does appear popular. The Prime Minister | :06:26. | :06:30.
believes poor education contributes to broken Britain and wants to | :06:30. | :06:33.
drive standards up. A lot of his speech today was about ways of | :06:33. | :06:37.
doing that. But he thinks one of the key ways is using things like | :06:37. | :06:43.
free schools. We heard about the opposition, how great is it? | :06:43. | :06:47.
Government still has a lot of selling to do on this policy. The | :06:47. | :06:50.
teaching unions fear it is a divisive policy which will promote | :06:50. | :06:57.
a elitism. They question whether free schools work. There was | :06:57. | :07:01.
research that came I from Sweden this week, which suggest standards | :07:01. | :07:06.
have fallen over the last 15 years. And the teachers and unions do feel | :07:06. | :07:11.
this is a dangerous experiment, playing around with education. But | :07:11. | :07:16.
the Government is determined. Mr Cameron said today opponents | :07:16. | :07:18.
against free schools are defending an educational establishment which | :07:18. | :07:28.
:07:28. | :07:28. | ||
has let down pupils. A special service was held at RAF | :07:28. | :07:31.
Lakenheath this afternoon, to remember those who died on 9/1. | :07:31. | :07:34.
Members of the fire department, the security forces squadron and the | :07:34. | :07:36.
medical group conducted a formal retreat ceremony as a tribute to | :07:36. | :07:39.
fellow emergency service workers who lost their lives that day. Alex | :07:39. | :07:47.
Dunlop is there. This is the tail-end of the rush- | :07:47. | :07:52.
hour. At many American her men and women her to their homes off base. | :07:52. | :07:58.
It will be a sombre weekend as they reflect on what man called modern | :07:58. | :08:02.
America's Pearl Harbor. But there was a chance to remember those who | :08:02. | :08:07.
died on 9/11. In a corner but this applies, they | :08:07. | :08:10.
gathered to commemorate fellow emergency workers who died 10 years | :08:10. | :08:14.
ago. Personnel from three squadron's representing security | :08:14. | :08:18.
forces, by a services and the medical group. The uniforms | :08:18. | :08:23.
represent those who deliberately went into harm's way. A man at the | :08:23. | :08:30.
gate covered with cards from well- wishers, flowers and the wonderful | :08:30. | :08:33.
people from Great Britain who wanted to show their unity to us in | :08:33. | :08:38.
our sense of need. Here too, Sergeant Davis who will celebrate | :08:38. | :08:44.
her 30th birthday on 9/11. How are you celebrating your birthday? | :08:44. | :08:47.
will be different league than the memorial. But with family and | :08:47. | :08:52.
friends of course. With mixed feelings? He has, you cannot | :08:52. | :08:57.
celebrate light you could. For the most part, we have a generation of | :08:57. | :09:03.
folks who are a little bit colder, maybe teenagers at the time who are | :09:03. | :09:07.
inspired by the events and inspired by the stories they heard and | :09:07. | :09:11.
decided to come and serve. American F 15 fighters based here played a | :09:11. | :09:16.
key role in the attack on Al-Qaeda in the aftermath of the 9/11. 10 | :09:16. | :09:21.
years on, personnel based here are still serving in Afghanistan. | :09:21. | :09:26.
On Sunday lunchtime at RAF Lakenheath they will plant a tree | :09:26. | :09:33.
as a memorial to those who died. The commander told me this is a | :09:33. | :09:38.
long, ongoing morning, which these bases in Suffolk will play a key | :09:38. | :09:48.
:09:48. | :09:50. | ||
part. Still to come tonight: Our players getting ready for the | :09:50. | :09:52.
Rugby World Cup. And reaping the harvest at Jimmy's. | :09:52. | :09:54.
What happened when the chef met the pop stars. | :09:54. | :09:58.
A woman has been killed after her car was in collision with a fire | :09:58. | :10:01.
engine in Basildon. It happened at around 9:00am this morning on | :10:01. | :10:04.
Broadmayne. The fire engine had been responding to emergency call | :10:04. | :10:14.
:10:14. | :10:14. | ||
when the crash happened. The crew had just left Basildon | :10:14. | :10:19.
fire station to rescue a nine-year- old girl at another accident. Both | :10:19. | :10:22.
the lights and the sirens were on. Just a few seconds later they | :10:22. | :10:29.
collided with a Toyota Yaris. It happened in rush-hour. An eye | :10:29. | :10:31.
witness described how the central reservation railings crumpled like | :10:31. | :10:37.
matchsticks. A 39-year-old woman was trapped in the car. She was | :10:37. | :10:41.
freed after half-an-hour but later died. No one in the fire engine was | :10:41. | :10:46.
injured. Member of the crew, although unhurt are extremely | :10:46. | :10:50.
distressed and shaken by this tragic incident. Saving lives is | :10:50. | :10:54.
what they do every day and to be involved in such a tragic accident | :10:54. | :10:57.
with this outcome has left them deeply affected. We would like to | :10:57. | :11:02.
express our deepest sympathy to the family of the woman involved. | :11:02. | :11:06.
afternoon, the fire engine was taken away. But the fire service | :11:06. | :11:10.
and the police have started investigations. Anyone who saw what | :11:10. | :11:15.
happened is being asked to come forward. | :11:15. | :11:17.
The police have been searching woodland near Peterborough as part | :11:17. | :11:20.
of their investigation into the disappearance of a woman. 29 year | :11:20. | :11:23.
old, Vitalija Baliutaviciene, was last seen leaving for work a month | :11:23. | :11:30.
ago. A man has been arrested in Lithunania on suspicion of kidnap | :11:30. | :11:36.
and murder. I cannot discount the possibility | :11:36. | :11:40.
she is still alive. But it is now a month on and her 10-year-old boy | :11:40. | :11:44.
has heard nothing from her and that concerns me. Her whereabouts are | :11:45. | :11:48.
central to the investigation and we don't know where she is. Any to | :11:48. | :11:53.
find her. I have a man in custody at Lithuania who will at some stage | :11:53. | :11:57.
come to the UK. Work has begun to secure access to | :11:57. | :12:00.
Dale Farm Travellers' Camp in Essex, ahead of a mass eviction. Basildon | :12:00. | :12:05.
Council has closed off one of the access roads to the illegal camp. | :12:05. | :12:09.
Traffic has also been slowed on the A127. The eviction of about 300 | :12:09. | :12:11.
travellers will begin on September 19th. | :12:11. | :12:14.
New figures show that reported hate crime has gone up by more than a | :12:14. | :12:17.
quarter in Norfolk. 533 incidents were recorded by the police in 2010, | :12:17. | :12:19.
involving race, sexuality and disability. The force says it's | :12:19. | :12:22.
largely down to such crimes being under-reported in the past and | :12:22. | :12:31.
victims being more confident about coming forward. | :12:31. | :12:33.
A vital sea defence scheme is finally getting started in | :12:33. | :12:36.
Felixstowe. Today a barge arrived carrying hundreds of tonnes of | :12:36. | :12:41.
granite. It will create new groynes to protect the beach. 260 jobs have | :12:41. | :12:51.
:12:51. | :12:51. | ||
been saved at a mortgage centre in Early morning at Felixstowe and the | :12:51. | :12:56.
barge is eased and position of the front. It is carrying the first | :12:56. | :12:59.
load of granite transferred from another vessel in the distance, | :12:59. | :13:04.
packed with 20,000 tonnes in total. It has come from Norway, a longer | :13:04. | :13:09.
than expected 12 they journey, battling the elements. Obviously | :13:09. | :13:15.
you are in the hands of the weather. The things do go wrong at times. | :13:15. | :13:18.
But there slave plans, we have success. The just have to be ready | :13:18. | :13:24.
for anything? Any eventuality. say locals are relieved to see were | :13:24. | :13:29.
starting is an understatement. Last year when things seemed Also, | :13:29. | :13:33.
officials pulled the funding, but after fierce lobbying, they | :13:33. | :13:43.
relented. It has been a long time coming. We have been working since | :13:43. | :13:47.
1998 to get the money. We got it approved last year then it was | :13:47. | :13:52.
unapproved. Today it has started. It is a benchmark for the town. | :13:52. | :13:56.
milestone which some people did not want to miss as the first chime | :13:56. | :14:04.
rock finally landed. In total, 18 will be built, a half | :14:04. | :14:08.
before the winter and the remainder next year. The beach will also be | :14:08. | :14:12.
replenished. They are loading the rocks as fast as they cannot to | :14:12. | :14:15.
make the most of the high tide. When they hit the beach, everything | :14:15. | :14:23.
shakes. They are about the first of many, the unloading work will | :14:23. | :14:32.
continue for the next few days. 260 jobs have been saved at the | :14:32. | :14:35.
Mortgage Centre in Norwich. The RBS banking group announced last year | :14:35. | :14:39.
it expected to close the base in 2012. But it's had a re-think, and | :14:39. | :14:42.
now expects the mortgage processing centre to handle more business in | :14:42. | :14:44.
the future. Sites in Nottingham and Liverpool have also been reprieved. | :14:44. | :14:47.
Unions welcomed the decision. They said RBS had listened to the | :14:47. | :14:53.
concerns of staff. In football, both Norwich and | :14:53. | :14:55.
Ipswich return to action this weekend after the international | :14:55. | :14:58.
break. Norwich are at home to West Brom in the Premier League on | :14:58. | :15:01.
Sunday. Ipswich go into their game at Blackpool strengthened by the | :15:01. | :15:07.
arrival of Stoke defender, Danny Collins, on loan. | :15:07. | :15:11.
Time for Paul Lambert to gather his thoughts. Three Premier League | :15:11. | :15:15.
games gone, still no wins. Our time the opening month has been | :15:15. | :15:22.
stressful, rewarding also. He would have to make a change in goal. The | :15:22. | :15:27.
goalkeeper is banned after his sending off at Chelsea. There are | :15:27. | :15:31.
games where we can pick them at the start of the season, maybe West | :15:31. | :15:37.
Brom at home and Stoke at home. Probably not expecting to go to | :15:37. | :15:41.
mind United and win the game. But the manager always looks to win the | :15:41. | :15:45.
Games. The break has given the Ipswich players time to get to know | :15:45. | :15:50.
each other. With 11 new faces and the prospect of the 12th with Danny | :15:50. | :15:56.
Collins joining on loan. It is two weeks since town clawed their way | :15:56. | :16:06.
:16:06. | :16:06. | ||
back to defeat Leeds. They have lost Charlie Adam, arguably their | :16:06. | :16:10.
best player. They have continued the good work they have produced | :16:10. | :16:15.
over the last two years. Two games, four points in League One, and | :16:15. | :16:19.
Colchester poised to put a run together. They battled to earn a | :16:19. | :16:22.
point at Scunthorpe and tomorrow is Leyton Orient. It is the home match | :16:23. | :16:26.
and everyone wants his persona that advantage regardless of Leyton | :16:26. | :16:31.
Orient. We have to make sure we do that. It will be tough, they had a | :16:31. | :16:36.
good season last year. South and are unbeaten in three. Scoring | :16:36. | :16:42.
sensational goals, but leading them, too. Clean sheets do When you | :16:42. | :16:46.
football games. To be pegged back again is disappointing. The they | :16:46. | :16:56.

You're watching Look East from the BBC. Coming up: Dr Who from Where? | :17:12. | :17:15.
The music festival season comes to an end this weekend. And the last | :17:15. | :17:19.
hurrah is on a farm near Ipswich. They call it Harvest at Jimmy's and | :17:19. | :17:23.
the first campers have already started to arrive. | :17:23. | :17:27.
About 20,000 people are expected for a combination of music and food. | :17:27. | :17:31.
So as a warm up we got the members of The Feeling and chef Galton | :17:31. | :17:33.
Blackiston, together in the kitchen. Here's our entertainment reporter | :17:33. | :17:43.

Dawn Gerber. Gentlemen, what I'm going to do Dr | :17:44. | :17:48.
Ahmad Khaled Abdel Aziz out on the road it is harder to get decent | :17:48. | :17:51.
food come up but today they have a top chef cooking them a hard this | :17:51. | :17:56.
inspired Neil. The real emphasis is showcasing | :17:56. | :18:01.
vegetables from my area. We have summer cabbage. Movies are rainbow | :18:01. | :18:06.
carrots which are grown in Norfolk. You don't overcrowd the pan. There | :18:06. | :18:12.
has been an explosion of food, nationally, so everybody, young | :18:12. | :18:17.
people are interested in food. This is down to the TV programmes being | :18:17. | :18:22.
urged all the time. So, it has become trendy and fashionable to | :18:22. | :18:27.
get into food. Music has always been trendy. It is a marriage which | :18:27. | :18:37.
you can see coming together. # Setting my world on fire #. | :18:37. | :18:42.
That is what harvest is all about, bringing food and music together. | :18:42. | :18:47.
At the Festival, the feeling are hoping to play some tracks off | :18:47. | :18:52.
their album. We have been around long enough to | :18:52. | :18:58.
know we can trust our instincts. The key discovery was realising the | :18:58. | :19:03.
importance of the song. And that was the main point where we came | :19:03. | :19:07.
together and we were like, this is it, it is all about the songs and | :19:07. | :19:12.
you can have fun with it once you have written a good song. | :19:12. | :19:16.
public get inspiration from seen people cooking, with people with | :19:16. | :19:21.
knowledge. It you can demonstrate something easy, chances are people | :19:21. | :19:30.
can go home and think they can do And simply done. You must try it. | :19:30. | :19:36.
It is good. You don't have to say that. We are a bit older now and we | :19:36. | :19:40.
can pick and choose what we do. Any festival to do with food, we will | :19:40. | :19:44.
be there. People always share plates when | :19:44. | :19:47.
somebody is cooking for them! England's rugby players are less | :19:47. | :19:50.
than 24 hours away from their opening game of the Rugby World Cup | :19:50. | :19:55.
in New Zealand. They play Argentina in Dunedin. The game is at 9.30am | :19:55. | :19:58.
our time tomorrow morning. And six players from this region are in the | :19:58. | :20:08.
:20:08. | :20:17. | ||
England squad. This report from James Burridge. | :20:17. | :20:21.
2011 has been via Northampton's rugby players took the game by | :20:21. | :20:25.
storm. They have made headlines. Now they have the chance to prove | :20:25. | :20:32.
it on the big stage. Argentina are first in line. Having seen previous | :20:32. | :20:37.
World Cups, they are a threat and a passionate nation. Quality players | :20:37. | :20:44.
who are playing in France and Europe. This is the most the club | :20:44. | :20:48.
have ever had at a Rugby World Cup, so what is the secret and what are | :20:48. | :20:52.
their chances? I think they will all do well within their different | :20:52. | :20:56.
countries. It is not just within England but other countries as well. | :20:56. | :21:00.
If they play as well as they do for their clubs they should do well for | :21:00. | :21:07.
their countries. There is just one name for the Saints fans? Obviously | :21:07. | :21:12.
creche -- Chris Ashton. Chris Ashton-under-Lyne, definitely. | :21:12. | :21:17.
is always the same name? He has done exceptionally well and he is a | :21:17. | :21:22.
marked man. How much of a marked man is Chris Ashton? I don't think | :21:22. | :21:27.
he will be a stand now marked man. He is of course, we know what he | :21:27. | :21:31.
can do and other teams know what he can do. England have a lot of other | :21:31. | :21:39.
threats, including Ben Fogle. They have threats all over the place. | :21:39. | :21:42.
Hopefully he will get a bit of space and time and he will be able | :21:42. | :21:49.
to deliver. New Zealand have already laid down | :21:49. | :21:53.
the gauntlet with a comfortable win. Tomorrow for England, the waiting | :21:53. | :22:03.
:22:03. | :22:10. | ||
will be over. Me. I have a closet Dr Who fan | :22:10. | :22:14.
beside me. I was only seven at the time. | :22:14. | :22:18.
I used to love the music. A used to hide behind the sofa. | :22:18. | :22:22.
But did you know that the Time Lord has a series of mysterious links to | :22:22. | :22:24.
Northampton. One episode was set there. The actor who plays the | :22:24. | :22:27.
current Dr Who was born there and the writer of tomorrow's episode | :22:27. | :22:33.
comes from there too. Here's Jo Black. | :22:33. | :22:37.
Where am I? You are in a time stream. | :22:37. | :22:44.
It promises to be one of the most emotional episodes. Called the Girl | :22:44. | :22:48.
Who waited, the story is written by Tom MacRae, a writer from | :22:48. | :22:53.
Northampton. It is about losing someone and trying to get them back. | :22:53. | :22:58.
It is an emotionally powerful episode, it is visually gorgeous. | :22:58. | :23:02.
This is probably the thing I am most proud of. I think it is the | :23:02. | :23:09.
best thing I have ever done. already know that Dr Mark Smith is | :23:09. | :23:14.
a Northampton Boy and Delia Darbyshire who held develop a | :23:14. | :23:18.
distinctive sound track lived in the town. And Tom Baker was sitting | :23:18. | :23:25.
here in this box in 1967, dodging bullets at the Royal Theatre. | :23:25. | :23:35.
:23:35. | :23:37. | ||
Please look for the ace of diamonds. This was set in Victorian times and | :23:37. | :23:41.
the Northampton Theatre gave an authentic backdrop. All of this | :23:41. | :23:45.
gives the town bragging rights, but do people know how many links | :23:45. | :23:51.
Northampton has to the iconic series? Because he came from | :23:51. | :23:56.
Northampton. Who did question mark the man who plays in it. It is the | :23:56. | :24:00.
new Doctor Who isn't it? I think he is a lot better than the rest of | :24:00. | :24:05.
them. It is the new Doctor Who that comes from Northampton. I have | :24:05. | :24:13.
forgotten his name. Matt Smith. That's it. Anything else? No, No. | :24:13. | :24:17.
Perhaps this man is the biggest Dr Who finally have found to date. | :24:17. | :24:21.
Patrick Leonard, a tailor in Northampton has two Daleks and a | :24:21. | :24:26.
life-size Tardis. You cannot say doctor who now without saying | :24:26. | :24:30.
Northampton and Matt Smith. The other strong connection, as their | :24:30. | :24:33.
Skiverton Maronite his Tom May grave. Do people need to beat fans | :24:33. | :24:39.
to appreciate the links? Up to a point, yes. I think you do have to | :24:39. | :24:44.
be a fan. Tomorrow, Dr Who fans are in for a tear-jerker, which could | :24:44. | :24:51.
have them reaching for tissues as well as hiding behind the sofa. | :24:51. | :24:55.
I have been corrected by her doctor who anorak in the newsroom, who | :24:55. | :25:04.
even though he is much younger than me says it was here and not Leyla. | :25:04. | :25:07.
I am only saying that because I was seven at the time. | :25:07. | :25:16.
We have an area of low pressure at the moment. We got off to a cloudy | :25:16. | :25:21.
start. This is what it looked like this morning. Through the afternoon | :25:21. | :25:26.
attended -- the clouds tended to thin and break. This evening it is | :25:26. | :25:31.
mostly dry and feeling unit. There is a chance of one a two isolated | :25:31. | :25:35.
showers and although they are few and far between, they could be on | :25:35. | :25:40.
the sharper side. Most places dry. Cloud around and temperatures are | :25:40. | :25:45.
not likely to drop any lower than 16 Celsius. Average for this time | :25:45. | :25:50.
of year is nine or 10. So it is a good deal above that. The winds | :25:50. | :25:53.
turn south easterly and they are moderate in strength through the | :25:53. | :25:57.
night. Tomorrow the focus is on this feature, a cold front that | :25:57. | :26:01.
crosses the country and brings a band of rain with it. By the time | :26:01. | :26:05.
it gets to us it is broken and weakened. It probably means that | :26:05. | :26:09.
although it will bring some breezy conditions, it will probably only | :26:09. | :26:14.
amount to showery rain or a few showers. You see a cloudy start, a | :26:14. | :26:18.
few brighter spells and then this rain, broken and fragmented as it | :26:18. | :26:22.
heads east. Temperatures likely to get to 20 ball Celsius, which they | :26:22. | :26:29.
did today. The winds speed is a moderate south to south-westerly. | :26:29. | :26:32.
Through the afternoon, it's all pretty much clear up, the rain and | :26:32. | :26:37.
we are left with one a two bright spells to end the day. The focus | :26:37. | :26:41.
over the last few days has been on this area of low pressure. It | :26:41. | :26:45.
contains the remnants of hurricane Katia and it is heading to northern | :26:45. | :26:51.
Britain, bringing wet and windy conditions. For us it will probably | :26:51. | :26:54.
increase the wind speed, but probably won't get that much wet- | :26:54. | :27:00.
weather from it. This is the next five days. For tomorrow, merely dry | :27:00. | :27:06.
but with broken, fragmented rainfall crossing east. Overnight, | :27:06. | :27:09.
Saturday we could get heavy rain and that could linger into Sunday | :27:09. | :27:15.
morning. Heavy bursts of rain and then brightening up with one or two | :27:15. | :27:19.
showers behind. Into Monday and Tuesday it looks like mainly light | :27:19. | :27:25.
showers but the winds increasing on Monday. It gets cooler through the | :27:25. | :27:28. |
