UK special forces in Kenya tonight in the search for the woman

Six days to go and the authorities get ready to re-possess the

travellers site at Dale Farm. is a lot of money going into this

huge operation. �18 million buys a lot of security contractors and

police. This could have been better spent supporting this community,

rather than trying to destroy it. In court: the family of four men

accused of being slave-drivers. And the region's retailers shrug

off the threat from the newest and biggest shopping centre.

How law. Experts in counter- terrorism from Britain are in Kenya

tonight helping in the search for a holidaymaker from Hertfordshire who

was kidnapped at the weekend. Judith Tebbutt from Bishops

Stortford is believed to be an hands of Somali gangsters. Her

husband David was murdered at their holiday chalet not far from the

Kenyan border with Somalia. There are unconfirmed reports tonight

that UK Special forces have been dispatched to search for her.

Eight, that shows no sign of ending. A husband shot dead and a wife held

captive. Back in the UK, the wider family remained in limbo. Friends

are holding their breath, waiting for news. It is unimaginable what

she must be going through. I think she probably knows that David is at

least badly injured, if not dead. Terrible things must be going

through her mind about what will happen to her. I can only hope it

resolves well and she gets release. Today, it emerged that she works at

this hospital. In a statement, they described her as a dedicated social

worker who has been with them for seven years. They said, our

thoughts are with her and her family at this time. David Tebbutt

was described as an adventurer, but not one to take unnecessary risks.

It is almost exactly a year since this man's own family hit trouble

when they were driven into the path of Kenyan warlords. This black car

drove up beside us with six men with machine guns. They look at us

and walked around the vehicle, tapping on the windows. All the

time, we were getting more and more scared. We felt that if anything

was going to upset them, they would have shot as there and then. We

were truly skier. He says tourists are not being warned enough about

the risks. When the advertising �3,000 holidays, they don't say

anything about the threat of violence. It is only when things

like this kidnap and murder come to light that it brings to home -- it

brings it home to people. That is what made me feel compelled to

contact you today. At the family home of the Judith Tebbutt, those

risks are keenly felt. It has been made clear today that

the Kenyans are very much in charge of the investigation. But the A8

are being joined by a special team from the Met to assist them. Two

what extent can they help? These officers will work on the

repatriation of the body of David Tebbutt. Then they will head to

where he was murdered. This is where he was shot in the back on

Sunday night. They will help in the investigation there. The wider

investigation involves the Kenyan authorities looking for Judith

Tebbutt, his wife. She was taken away in a speedboat. It is probable

she has now held in Somalia, less than 30 miles from where she was

staying. Whitehall have set up a crisis team to try to establish

contact with the grip and possible -- with the group and a possible

motive. They have been speaking to two brothers of David Tebbutt who

live in our region. Security contractors have today

taken the first steps towards repossessing the illegal

travellers' site at Dale Farm in Essex. Teams of workers arrived

this morning to build a control centre in a field next door to the

calm. From there, next week's operation has will be run.

These travellers are not staying put. Hours earlier, they had walked

into this. Security contractors moving in to lay an access road

across an adjacent field. Preparations for the operation next

week. Eviction of several hundred travellers living illegally at Dale

Farm. Today, the first sign of the scale of the action. Although there

is a lot of worry, we are aware that this will be a slow process

over the next week. Pressure will continue to ratchet up. There's a

lot of money going into this. This is only the tip of the iceberg. �18

million buys a lot of bailiffs and security contractors, police. That

money could be better spent supporting his community, rather

than trying to destroy ed. Plant compounds were erected this morning.

days away. The police were here as well, but only in the background.

beginning of the end. Let's talk now to Malcolm Buckley,

a Cabinet member of Basildon Council. We heard that an access

road was being built. What other preparations are being bid this

week? These are the grand lying regulations that we need to comply

with. -- ground lie end. We have to ensure there is access for

emergency services on and off the site. We hope they will not be

needed, but we have to take these precautions to ensure that there is

emergency access to the site if require. We saw some caravans on

the move today. What is your information on the latest on

whether the travellers will move of before the election? We understand

a number of touring caravans have moved off today. Two -- before the

eviction. We would like the other people to make their way of this

site peacefully between now and Monday morning. That is the best

way for all in all. Not all of them live in a moveable homes. Some are

bricks-and-mortar. Will those properties be destroyed? They are

mobile homes with bricks surrounding them. Laws that are in

a fit state will be dismantled and stored and the owners can collect

them from storage centres at a later day. There is still a lot of

high-profile support for the travellers. 63 MPs and several

national charities have written a letter asking for this to be

reviewed. They want to find alternative cultural housing for

these people. How much pressure does that put the council under?

have been under that pressure for 10 years. We believe we have dealt

with all of the challenges that have been thrown at the council and

believe we're acting fairly to the travellers, making accommodation

available to them, and acting fairly to the community by making

sure that planning law is enforced and that we do not have anarchy in

planning matters within Basildon. Four men charged with enslaving

workers at a travellers' site in Bedfordshire have today appeared in

court. Three brothers and their brother-in-law were arrested at the

weekend after a police raid at the green acres site near Leighton

Buzzard. Our home affairs correspondent sent this from Luton

Magistrates' Court. The men were brought to court late

this morning. Three brothers and their brother-in-law were finally

brought before a district judge at 2pm this afternoon. The hearing

lasted several hours. The accused were arrested following raids on a

travellers' site. As they sat through proceedings, members of

their family sat nearby. The faced several charges linked to slavery

offences. They are convicted of holding others in servitude and

forcing them to perform tasks of Labour. At the charges relate to

four alleged victims who it is said were held against their will and

forced to work. James Connors faces six charges said to involve three

victims. The other's face a smaller number of charges. It was stated at

the hearing that these people were all vulnerable adults who were

being abused. The judge said that the men will appear at Luton

Magistrates' Court on 5th December. At that point, their wives began

shouting know. Later on Look East, it is mix-and-

match in our constituencies as the boundaries get a shake-up. We

reveal the winners of this year's Anglia in Bloom contest. And we pay

a visit to Europe's biggest shopping centre.

It has been announced today that 45 telephone exchanges across the

region are to be upgraded to provide super-fast broad band. The

upgrade will benefit almost 500,000 telephone customers, mostly in

Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. It could be available as early as

next year. Our reporter has been to BT's research labs in Ipswich.

This is where BT showcases the new technology of the future, including

high-speed broadband. This is the kitchen of the future. Behind me,

at the front room. I am joined by a representative from BT. What will

this mean for people at home and in business? Practically, we will see

480,000 people having access to a high-speed fibre based abroad ban.

Currently, speeds of up to 40 megabytes. Next year, up to 80

megabytes. That can change the way that small and medium-sized

enterprises do their business. about rural communities? We want to

fix the issue because I live in a rural community. It will take time,

but this will happen. What will this mean in practical terms for

people at winner? It gives people more capability. You will be able

to watch four channels of high- definition television within the

same home. Separate rooms can have internet requirements and not

affect other rooms. The news today will be welcomed by towns and

cities across the region. Four rural communities, the campaign is

far from over. The announcement today will set some of these

communities back further for stopping or that young people

cannot do their studies without good access to broadband. They can

lose 10% of their GCSE grades. Small companies are closing because

they need good to connectivity. roll-out of high-speed broadband is

expected to take place next autumn. The RAC's operation in Norwich is

close and. 80 staff have been told the office was shut in April next

year. They have been offered the chance to redeploy in Bristol or

Walsall, or apply for other jobs within the parent company.

A woman from Suffolk has denied a charge of racially aggravated

harassment, after she was accused of putting a golliwog doll in a

window. Jena Mason was arrested after her neighbour complained

It is alleged that gentamicin put a golliwog doll in her window after a

planning dispute with her neighbours, one of them is of

Caribbean descent. She was in court for just a few minutes. She denied

writing a sign of other representation which was likely to

cause harm or offence. The case was adjourned and will go to trial

before Lowestoft magistrates. Gen a mason has also been suspended as a

non-executive director of the company for whom she works. She was

released on unconditional bail. A forensic expert has reconstructed

the face of a 14th century Archbishop of Canterbury from a

skull kept at a Suffolk church. Simon of Sunbury was seized after

insurgents stormed the Tower of London during the peasant revolt in

1381. He was dragged to Tower Hill and beheaded. A forensic are so --

artist used skeletal detail to build up his features.

People from Stilton are planning to make cheese for the first time in

centuries. It is currently made in the mill -- the Midlands, but it is

the village that gave it its name. A wrangle over the EU rules has

meant they have had to think up something else to call the cheese.

Stilton today is made in the Midlands, but villagers here are in

-- are determined to reclaim their heritage -- heritage. They have

found documents from the 18th century which proved that the

cheese used to be made locally. They are going into production

again with the help of a local dairy. It would be good to see

ditties returned to the village again. Hopefully, before Christmas

we should be seeing the first Stilton-type cheese is made in the

village in about 200 years. -- cheeses.

EU law means they cannot call the Kyi Stilton. They can call it a

blue veined cheese from Stilton or are still to hide than type cheese.

people who come through the doors and ask where the cheese factory is.

It is anticipated they will start making the first batch of cheese

Some of the region's MPs will be looking for a new seat at the next

election following a review of constituency boundaries. If it is

confirmed it will affect some high- profile MPs like Nadine Dorries.

The Labour Party was left with just two MPs at the last election and it

says the boundary changes will make it even more difficult for their

MPs to win seats in our region. Andrew Sinclair has the details.

If the proposals go ahead this will be a major shake-up. The map which

we always show at election time will look very different. It is

probably easier to start by showing the seats which will have not

changed. There are just ten of them. Most of them are so -- are in

Suffolk, a couple in Norfolk. Every other seat in the region will see

its boundaries changed and two will seek -- will disappear altogether.

Mid- Bedfordshire, held by Nadine Dorries, will disappear. In Essex,

Braintree and Witham will be merged, which will see either pretty but

tell or Brookes Newmark lose out. - - Priti Patel.

This village is currently in North Norfolk with a Liberal Democrat MP.

At the next election it could be part of Great Yarmouth, with a

Conservative MP. Would you prefer to be part of north Norfolk? Yes,

definitely. I think it is where this part of the Norfolk Broads

most comfortably 6. I think it could work for us. It would be a

pity to lose our current MP. The Government wants to reduce the

number of MPs at Westminster by 10% so it was inevitable that one or

two MPs would see their seats under threat. It is a job I have always

wanted. I would like, hopefully, to stand for at least another couple

of terms. I think I can bring valuable service to my

constituentss and the country. Obviously, I am incredibly

disappointed. We're in the first year of a five-year term. It is

just business as usual for me. I will work as energetically and as

enthusiastically as I usually do. Nearly every region will see its

boundaries changed. Newmarket will join with the elite. The

constituency of Daventry will taking parts of Leicestershire. --

Newmarket will join with Ely. A Government is determined to cut

the number of MPs, so most of this is likely to happen.

cash. It is called the West feel centre and it is the biggest

shopping centre in Europe. It is next to the Olympic Park in

Stratford. With the Christmas shopping season up -- almost upon

us, will it attract shoppers away from the traditional high-street?

in their Anglia In Bloom. -- in the Anglia In Bloom competition.

Shock and delight after Bedford took the prize for best overall

entrant in Anglia In Bloom. This is one of the reasons why - the golden

gardens concept, one of many schemes organised by a residents in

the Bedford area. Until it was transformed this was just derelict

land. Today it is a vital communal space. It is down to all the

community groups that we have got with us, a lot of people at the

council as well played their part. It is just a wonderful result,

isn't it? I cannot believe it. Absolutely magic. Anglia In Bloom

is in its 15th here. It covers six counties in the east and, although

often associated with luscious hanging baskets and resplendent

roundabouts, its awards for biodiversity and sustainability now

reflect the changes to our climate, as well as our concerns for the

environment. Being by a mental wards have come into their raw in

recent years because of people taking pride in their place and

realising that everything around us, all the habitat areas, are so very

important. Today's ceremony was a chance to recognise all the hard

work in planning, planting and the hours spent dead-heading. Anglia In

Bloom is more than a flower competition. Those taking part

produce much rain. Conditions will be cloudy. Sunny spells will

develop as well. The cloud will mostly be in the north, the best of

the sunshine in the south. There will be a brisk breeze through the

afternoon. It stays dry with cloud around at times and some sunshine.
