The new owners of a South Lincolnshire green burial ground

are promising to tidy it up after it became so overgrown,

people could no longer find their loved ones' gravds.

For most of this year, family and friends have been unable

to locate plots in Sutterton because they were covered

You've heard of a beer garddn, but behind this former vill`ge pub

is a woodland the same size of three football pitches.

People come here to walk the dog and get some air,

but part of the site is also a natural burial ground,

where graves are marked with a tree or a small plaque,

the woodland stopped being cared for.

It meant that the weeds and reeds grew as high as this.

It made it difficult, sometimes impossible, for pdople

It was a situation that upsdt Alan, who comes here to be with hhs wife.

It was very distressing, because at the time,

my wife was only just buried, so I just felt that I wanted

to do something, not only for myself, but for other pdople.

So he picked up his strimmer and started tending

Well, I had one couple, her mother's husband is burhed here,

I eventually pinpointed it, I cleared all the site

and she was so overwhelmed, they were actually in tears.

A lot of people have apprechated what I've been doing so thex can

come and see their loved onds. but there is still so much

of the site to clear. Although it is a natural

burial ground, Angela says it is important that people can

find their loved ones. The natural part of it

are the trees, not the grass being overgrown and covering stones

up, you know, that people h`ve laid. Now the site's new owners

have told BBC Look North they're going to reopen the pub

and are promising to help But they add, the more volunteers

who come forward to help, the easier it'll make

and fine weather this afternoon As we go through the night,

there will be one or two showers just pushing

in on that easterly breeze, gradually strengthening

through the night. They will blow through,

though, and some clear spells to around 7 or 8 Celsius

as we head through the day, but still one or two

Not a bad start but we will see some mist and fog overnight. Southern

England, we will have some extensive low cloud and patchy fog. Further

west huddle in the countryside, with clearer skies, it will be quite

chilly night. Not very promising in the morning across these central

areas. Fog slowly lifting as the breeze freshens. For western

Scotland, it should be a decent day after a chilly start. There will be

some sunshine, and largely dry. Eastern Scotland, showers have been

more widely. On the whole, for northern parts of the UK,
