Good afternoon, The family of a man who's been missing in York for

almost three weeks say they're heartbroken after a body was found

last night in one of the city's rivers. 22`year`old Ben Clarkson, a

shop worker, disappeared after a night out with friends. The body

found by police divers is still to be formally identified but hn a

statement Ben's girlfriend Rachel Peatfield said she'd lost the love

of her life and described Bdn as a wonderful character, who was kind

and gentle. And the police searching for missing

Durham teacher Mark Bushnell have been alerted to a report of a body

on the beach close to where he was last seen. The report came from a

member of the public and police are now at the scene close to Blackhall

Rocks in Peterlee. A formal identification has yet to bd carried

out. His family have been informed. Mr Bushnell, who worked at the

prestigious boarding school Durham School, disappeared on Sund`y March

ninth. Northumbria Police are appe`ling for

witnesses after a robbery in Newcastle. Last night three masked

men broke into a house in Hdaton Road. They threatened a man in his

60s, and stole money and jewellery. Officers believe they left hn a blue

Ford Focus. A short time later, at 7pm, a car matching that desciption

was found on fire in Ripon Gardens, Newcastle.

An exhibition from the national childhood collection at the Victoria

and Albert Museum in London has opened in Newcastle's Great North

Hancock Museum this morning. Magic Worlds gives visitors the chance to

immerse themselves in the rdalms of fantasy, magicians and illusionists.

Costumes, tricks, paintings and puppets are amongst the itels on

display. The exhibition runs for three months.

The exhibition has three mahn parts. The first part is mainly about

fantasy literature and fairx tales. Then we entered into the illusion

section which is all about lagic and optical illusion and the final

section is enchantment, abott myths and dragons and theories.

The Great North Passion is ` hugely ambitious live BBC event to mark

Good Friday. A retelling of the Easter story, it will be held in

South Shields, and brings together performers and communities from

across the North East. Todax, people in North Shields began decorating a

shipping container which will form one of the centrepieces of the show.

To today's football, County Durham football club Tow Law make Northern

League history today when they take on South Shields. It'll be their

3,000th game and the match hs free. In the Premier League, Newc`stle at

home to Crystal Palace as Stnderland travel to Norwich. Middlesbrough

hosting QPR in the Championship In League One, Carlisle away to Notts

County. To League two, Hartlepool away to Oxford United and York to

Portsmouth. Gateshead host Lincoln City in the Conference. In the

Scottish League, Berwick at home to Clyde.

Good afternoon. After a bright morning for many of us, heavy

showers this afternoon but these could be fairly wintery over higher

ground. Sleet and snow with temperatures getting up to `round

eight Celsius. Through the night, showers will continue and wd will

have a problem with the ice as it will be another cold night on the

cards with temperatures dropping back to around the Celsius.
