Bradley Lowery has been accepted onto a cancer trial

The five-year-old from County Durham is terminally ill with

a rare type of childhood cancer called neuroblastoma.

Bradley's parents said on their Facebook account that

they're meeting with a professor at the hospital this week.

They'll make a decision once they know the results

The trial has been funded by Cancer Research UK.

A woman has died in a diving accident off the coast

The diver disappeared after surfacing just before

She was rescued following a search by a coastguard helicopter

and lifeboats from Seahouses - but died at the scene.

Labour's Shadow Housing Minister says people in the North East

are losing their homes because the Government's

new benefits system is pushing them into debt.

in Middlesbrough which provides food for homeless people in the town

are hoping to expand the idea across other parts of Teesside.

They are hoping to attract more volunteers which would help more

of the 2,000 estimated homeless people in the North East.
