favour of awarding themselves iPads at the public expense.

It is the clash of the managers for the Steel City derby as whence they

play host to United. It has been a beautiful afternoon, these shots

these criminals are, they are actively out there causing upset

resorted to driving after the people in my own car and stopping

them and taking what is owed to us, or just taking more details, maybe

even a photograph to provide to the police. That is quite drastic.

she has resigned as the chairman of a trading firm which helps

unemployed people get back to work. Emma Harrison founded Sheffield-

based A4e 25 years ago and turned it into a nationwide company with a

3,500 employees. The company has been investigated by police over

As you say, this is a story that has developed in the past hour and

comes at what can only be described as the end of a veritable to his

week for Emma Harrison. 25 years ago she set up A4e, it has grown

into a company which handles Government contracts worth millions

of pounds, but the week started badly with news that she take a

pestle dividend from the company of around �8.6 million. Then there

were revelations that four members of staff had been arrested for

fraud allegations, and then she stepped down as David Cameron's

family adviser, an unpaid position. In the past hour, she has announced

she is stepping down as the chairman of A4e. She said, this

work is so important to me that I do not want the continuing focus on

me to be any distraction for A4e and the 3005 funded employees and

the thousands of people across the UK who rely on A4e. A4e said, Miss

Harrison will be devastated to leave the farm, it would not exist

without her and they also said that to reduce speculation and

uncertainty, they have appointed an international law firm to carry out

an independent audit. That review will start very quickly. It is

important to point out that Emma Harrison still remains an important

shareholder in A4e. Stay with us as the saga continues.

Still no building work on Bradford's Westfield Shopping

Centre, eight years on! Here is a vote that has just come

in. -- here is. It sounds incredible, and in some ways it is.

Councillors in Scarborough have voted to give themselves iPads,

despite a poll by the town's newspaper that showed public

opposition to the plan. Although the poll was not

scientific, the response from the public was unlike anything the

newspaper has ever seen before. Since their watch, iPads have sold

in their millions. They have become a must-have gadget for many, with

multiple functions from reading books to organising spreadsheets.

There just for this has been noted by the leader of Scarborough

council, Tom Fox, who urged fellow councillors this afternoon to

support a plan to give themselves the gadget. Paid for by the public

purse. The council estimates switching to iPads could switch --

to say that �53,000 per year, because papers could be sent

electronically rather than been printed and posted.

In these austere times, the proposal has proved controversial.

Scarborough's local paper, the Evening News, has carried out an

online survey and the results were staggering. They received 67,000

responses, extraordinary for a town the size. Guess how many were in

favour. Just 44. That means that 99.9% of responses were against the

idea. I'd better point out that this and I had is my home, bought

with private and not public money. -- this eye pad is my own.

The counsellor to vote against the plan is Janet Jefferson. She uses

her own computer for council business. The other cows was are

supplied with council laptops, perfectly adequate for their job. -

- other councillors. I do not think that public money should be used in

this way. We all you have our own computers or the facility provided

by the council with a laptop. It is over-indulgence, and if we do find

we want them, we can buy them ourselves. There is a charge payer

in Scarborough, and I think this is an excess of waste of money. There

are other things that this money could be spent on. They have

already been given computers, laptops. It is a step too far. We

need the money for other things. is a good idea, it goes with the

times. Everyone else has them, why not councilors? In the same meeting,

council has approved budget cuts of �2.2 million with no council tax

rise. They also approved an option for members to make a donation

towards their new iPads, but is the newspaper poll is an accurate

reflection of feeling, it is unlikely to assuage public

resentment. And a reminder that you can see

Once a mother who was asleep in bed in the middle of the day as her

two-year old son fatally swallowed poison. She has been convicted of

the Tel's neglect. Aaron Booth track plant food left

around the family home for growing cannabis. His mother, Lauren, was

found guilty of wilful neglect. Lauren Booth had wept quietly

several times during her four-day trial for neglecting her son. There

were more tears today when she was found guilty of that neglect. In

November 2010, Aaron Booth died just short of his third birthday

after the tragic incident at his home in the -- at his home in

Huddersfield. It happened just after midday as Lauren Booth lay

asleep in bed with her boyfriend. Aaron Booth was left roaming the

house unattended when he got his hands on a bottle of highly toxic

plant food, which the prosecution claimed was there for growing

cannabis. He took a fatal dose as he was seeking his first food and

trick of the day. Aaron Booth died 11 days later at this hospital,

despite surgery. Today, his mother was convicted of this neglect,

despite her denials. It took the jury just two-and-a-

half hours to find Lauren Booth guilty of the wilful neglect of her

son, Aaron Booth. She was released on bail and left the court in tears.

She must return here to Bradford Crown Court on 16th April for

sentencing after reports had been drawn up on the 24-year-old. The

judge warned Lauren Booth that he was not prepared to say whether or

not he would send her to present when she returned to court.

More news from around Yorkshire now, and an MP has been charged with

assault after the Conservative MP for Putney, Stuart Andrew, alleged

he was attacked at the bar in the House of Commons. Mr Andrew said he

was head-butted and punched in Strangers Bar on Wednesday. The MP

for Falkirk, Eric Joyce, has been charged with three counts of common

assault. He was released on police bail and has been suspended by the

Labour Party as police continued their investigations.

Up to 150 jobs are under threat after a carpet tile company

announced plans to close their plant in Halifax. Interface for has

80 -- entered into a 30 consultation with staff over

redundancies. They say they will not close their

UK headquarters which are on the same safe.

Bradford council has been explaining why building -- builders

have not started work on the long- awaited Westfield Shopping Centre

despite a promise that development would begin early in 2012.

The council now says that the date was a reference to the planning

work rather than the actual construction. As Spencer stocks

explains, it is just the latest chapter in a saga that began years

ago. For nearly a decade, Bradford's

political leaders have been promising a shopping centre. This

is the latest and at that. Work is progressing. We know it is. There

are some final pieces of the jigsaw to be put together. It was back in

2004, when the old buildings came down and the then leader of the

council sounded an optimistic note. We have been very short of a good

retail centre that is competitive and good, we are going to have that.

It will not only be good for the people of the district, but it will

bring people into Bradford to see what other gems we have. If people

did come, this is what they would have seen. The vast tract of land

in the heart of the city. Bradford's then beat Generation

chief assured people that work would start soon, and in summer 20

-- a summer 2007 made this promise. We see Westfield going ahead in two

years' time, opening their doors. This is what it looks like two

years later. Still firmly closed. It was the same two years after

that in 2011. There is a new promise from the leader of the

council that the designs would become a reality if. I would say

20th February 12. We are absolutely confident that Westfield are

serious about the development and moving forward and that they will

be on site soon. There are very pretty much over, and no side of

any building work. The site looks as it has done for the past eight

years. Bradford council making fresh promises about when work will

begin. I would anticipate some time around me. This year? I would think

but are five points behind and the Blades have two games in hand. You

don't have to go back many weeks to the Owls being in the box seat,

It is hard to overestimate what this derby means to the city. Some

fans will not be able to eat ahead of the game, such will be there

Nobes. The players are the ones who must play with passion but control

their emotions. Perhaps this Sheffield derby is the manager --

it is the managers who were almost feel the heat. As the next

Wednesday manager and captain, Danny Wilson had to win the fans

over when he was put in charge at United. He has done just that by

taking the Blades to second in League One. They are one place

ahead of Wednesday. It is a tough game for both teams. Every result

is important. If you can get a result against your nearest city

rivals then it is not quite utopia but it is not far away. Garry makes

an got off to a different start. As a former Wednesday player, they

welcomed back one of his own. He transformed the club. They were

slipping towards relegation but now they are third in League One.

Wednesday have lost their last three team games and rumours that

he had lost his job proved untrue but he admits his future is

uncertain. I have been doing this for 17 years and it happens, you're

not going to lose three games will have dropped and not have rumours

around. You cannot do much about it. There is not a lot of point in

worrying about something you can do nothing about. You just have to try

and win two games and then those things go elsewhere. If Wednesday

win the Derby, it will give them momentum, even if they have a lot

is focusing on the last four or five games and before that both

teams were nip and tuck in their league and if you look at his

overall record, this time last year, he is 20 points further ahead than

he was. It is just recent form. What is the problem? I had seen him

recently and there is an old cliche that Bowles change games. They

didn't get a goal against Chesterfield and I was at the

Stevenage game and they were not brilliant by any game -- means but

they were not the better team -- they were the better team. It has

been a major problem. It is a whole different tale down at the Labour.

Everything is going swimmingly. is going very well. Danny Wilson

has them playing good football and the bans are enjoying it. We have

got ourselves in a fabulous position. The game will mean more

to Wednesday plan to us but we will be positive. I do nothing Danny

Wilson has ever put a team out to look for a draw. We are looking for

three points to put us in a stronger position. He has finally

won the fans round but what kind of reception really get going back to

Wednesday? It is interesting because he did so well there and he

is respected at both clubs. He had to get off to a good start at

Sheffield United and he did. People have respect because of the way he

conducts himself after the game. How do you see the game going?

the players are confident. I feel as if we will win the game. What

about you? Wednesday have a way of ducking form. I am going for a 2-

One winner. It will be tight. will be fantastic. I am going as a

pure supporter on Sunday so I will be delighted to get amongst the

residents don't always get on living in the same neighbourhood.

But that's changing in the Headingley area of Leeds, thanks to

a few hundred plant pots. Heidi It is a great philosophy to spread

a Little happiness but it is easier said than done. It is always nice

to get flowers. Thank you. A It is not often a whole street wakes up

to a surprise delivery. This week hundreds of people living on this

road were given planters containing flower bulbs. I thought it was a

really nice gesture because as a student you do not see things like

that happen. I feel that often locals around the area to consider

students to be a nuisance of some sort. They were from the residents'

association. The man who started it simply wanted to bring the

community together and make the streets look better. He was too shy

to be filled but a friend explained how they came to plant over 300

bulbs and hand them out free of charge. We wrote to 200 companies

to get reduced rates on pots and compost and bulbs and he got

volunteers to play on the run the council has been involved.

think it is a really nice gesture and I think on the summer the whole

of the road will look really nice. It is quite a student the area and

can get messy at times so it think it is really nice to have some flat

was. People have been talking and we have met a few people industry

that I have never even met. Who knows how the road will look in

the spring? A few planters and some hanging baskets and even the odd

window-box. After all, one good turn deserves another.

As every lady will know the worst fashion nightmare you can have is

turning up in the same dress as someone else...it's a big no

no..either that or turning up in fancy dress to a normal party. If

about it! The lovely Amanda and Lisa looked radiant not only in the

same shade of green, but in exactly the same dress! Something for the

what a lovely dress! I feel as though I am at school and we are in

uniform. It was a very mild day yesterday so let us remind

trip out to the coast, that is perhaps a good place to go. A nice

touch of local air frost in places and then Sunday will be a similar

day which will be dry and bright with variable cloud and some

sunshine and the coast having a lovely time of it again. The warm

front comes in on Sunday night into Monday so Monday will be a very

different sort of day with extensive low cloud over the hills

and occasional rain and drizzle at times. But the warmth and will

introduce milder air. The best of the brightness is in the east. That
