Welcome to Tuesday's Look North. On the programme tonight: Boys allowed | :00:05. | :00:07.
- one of the country's biggest fund-raising events aimed at women | :00:07. | :00:11.
allows boys up to 11 to take part after a campaign by a Chesterfield | :00:11. | :00:17.
mum. We'll be finding out what you think about changing the rules for | :00:17. | :00:19.
the Race For Life. Also tonight: Patrols are stepped | :00:19. | :00:23.
up after a prize winning terrier is savaged by another dog in a | :00:23. | :00:27.
Bradford park. And, the dream story for little | :00:27. | :00:37.
:00:37. | :00:37. | ||
girls - we meet the big girl with over 1000 My Little Ponies. | :00:37. | :00:42.
And I will be here just outside Rotherham of welcoming home of | :00:42. | :00:46.
world champion cyclist Ben Swift. The only problem is, he wasn't | :00:46. | :00:50.
expecting anyone to be here. And, it has been a day of sunshine and | :00:50. | :00:55.
showers today. There will be more showers to come this week. I will | :00:55. | :01:05.
:01:05. | :01:05. | ||
have the full forecast later in the Good evening. A mother from North | :01:06. | :01:09.
Derbyshire who campaigned to allow boys to take part in a charity race | :01:09. | :01:12.
aimed at women has succeeded in changing the rules across the | :01:12. | :01:16.
country, as a result of her story being taken up by Look North. | :01:16. | :01:19.
Claire Parker from Chesterfield wanted to run in the race with her | :01:19. | :01:22.
seven-year old son Connor, but she was told only boys under five could | :01:22. | :01:26.
run in the Race For Life, which raises money for cancer research. | :01:26. | :01:36.
:01:36. | :01:37. | ||
Emma Blackburn reports. Claire had always wanted to run | :01:37. | :01:41.
race for life with her seven-year- old son, by her side. He was the | :01:41. | :01:45.
person that help her recover from lymphoma after she was diagnosed | :01:45. | :01:49.
four years ago. But this year, Cancer Research said only boys | :01:49. | :01:54.
under five years old could take part, which excluded,. Clare began | :01:54. | :01:58.
a campaign to change that. After talking to Look North, the rules | :01:58. | :02:02.
were altered. I am over the moon. A lot of people did not think they | :02:02. | :02:06.
would change the rules, so it just goes to show that when you fight | :02:06. | :02:11.
for something you believe in, it can happen. Now I get to rise -- | :02:11. | :02:16.
race for my boy. Race For Life has been running for 18 years. Last | :02:16. | :02:20.
year, they trialled allowing boys aged 11 and under to raise, but | :02:20. | :02:24.
decided there was not enough interest. Now they say they have | :02:24. | :02:27.
listened to Claire and got further feedback from other supporters. As | :02:27. | :02:32.
a result, they have reinstated the boy's age limit to 11. We do have | :02:32. | :02:37.
boys and we should not penalise -- be penalised by having boys. I am | :02:37. | :02:40.
overwhelmed that I have got something changed but I feel | :02:40. | :02:45.
passionate about. Race For Life whenever breaking any laws. Under | :02:45. | :02:49.
the a quality act, there is an exemption for charities and some | :02:49. | :02:54.
sports regarding sex discrimination. But a local solicitor says club was | :02:54. | :02:59.
also within her rights to run with,. Technically she could say it is a | :02:59. | :03:04.
public road and he is going to run. He may not have a number in the | :03:04. | :03:09.
race. But there is support on both sides, and in these types of event, | :03:09. | :03:12.
a lot of women who would not normally run a race will do this | :03:13. | :03:18.
race because it is women only. Blair can now enter Chesterfield's | :03:18. | :03:22.
race for live with, in June, but her campaign does not end there. | :03:22. | :03:26.
She once the race to eventually include all men so she can continue | :03:26. | :03:31.
taking part with all her boys. Well, we did ask to speak to Cancer | :03:31. | :03:34.
Research UK but were told they weren't available for an interview. | :03:34. | :03:37.
However, we have had lots of response about this story on our | :03:37. | :03:44.
Facebook Page and by email. One email says the race should not | :03:44. | :03:49.
exclude people who only want to help cope with bereavement or shows | :03:49. | :03:54.
support for a loved one's battle with cancer. Another says, "thank | :03:54. | :03:59.
goodness someone has done something to include men for once. It is a | :03:59. | :04:04.
race for life after all. This is an example of blatant discrimination". | :04:04. | :04:09.
Wayne Gregory says, "as someone who has lost many family and friends I | :04:09. | :04:13.
have always wanted to take part in these events but have been refused | :04:13. | :04:18.
because I am a man. It is all very well allowing young boys to run the | :04:18. | :04:21.
race, but I would have thought cancer research would want as many | :04:21. | :04:26.
people as possible to raise money". Another says, "what a ridiculous | :04:26. | :04:31.
thing to say and do. I agree it should be for all but not for | :04:31. | :04:36.
sexism reasons, but to raise more money". To keep your comments -- | :04:36. | :04:38.
comments coming in. Next tonight, Look North has learnt | :04:38. | :04:41.
that Yorkshire's water could be used to help drought-stricken parts | :04:41. | :04:44.
of the south and east. For years, the giant Ladybower Reservoir in | :04:44. | :04:46.
the Peak District has supplied Sheffield. But now, Yorkshire Water | :04:46. | :04:49.
is in talks with companies from regions where there are hosepipe | :04:49. | :04:52.
bans about helping them by using the water stored here. Nicola Rees | :04:52. | :05:00.
reports. So far, Yorkshire has escaped a | :05:00. | :05:05.
hosepipe ban. In fact, our reservoirs are 90% full and people | :05:05. | :05:10.
like Carol Marsden near Doncaster or find that important. My daughter | :05:10. | :05:15.
is getting married in August and we want to get the garden looking nice. | :05:15. | :05:20.
If we had a hosepipe ban, it would be terrible. But in the North | :05:20. | :05:23.
Nottinghamshire town of Retford, a hosepipe ban is already in full | :05:23. | :05:28.
force. People here are supplied by Anglian Water, and their reserves | :05:28. | :05:32.
are seriously low. In a bid to address that problem, today, | :05:32. | :05:35.
Anglian Water is in talks with neighbouring suppliers Yorkshire | :05:35. | :05:40.
Water and Severn Trent. They are planning to trade water to help the | :05:40. | :05:44.
worst-hit areas. At the moment, Yorkshire Water taking a certain | :05:44. | :05:47.
amount of water from the Ladybower Reservoir. If they did not need | :05:48. | :05:51.
quite as much for their area, we could release that into the River | :05:51. | :05:55.
Derwent. It may be possible later in the year to release more water | :05:55. | :06:00.
and help Anglian out even more. This enormous reservoir in the Peak | :06:00. | :06:03.
District is owned by Severn Trent, but also supplies 50 billion litres | :06:03. | :06:08.
a day to Yorkshire Water customers in nearby Sheffield as part of a | :06:08. | :06:12.
long-standing agreement between the two companies. Yorkshire Water told | :06:12. | :06:16.
us that in the spirit of collaboration, they are now | :06:16. | :06:19.
considering giving up their supplies from this reservoir to | :06:19. | :06:24.
help other drought-stricken areas. The question is, could Yorkshire | :06:24. | :06:28.
cope without the Ladybower Reservoir? The talks are at an | :06:28. | :06:31.
early stage, and Yorkshire Water says maintaining supplies here is | :06:31. | :06:35.
still the priority. But, if the move goes ahead, it would not be | :06:35. | :06:40.
the first time that one region has helped another. In the mid-90s, | :06:40. | :06:43.
Yorkshire's supplies ran so low that convoys of water tankers were | :06:43. | :06:47.
sent in from Northumberland. Almost two decades later, it seems | :06:47. | :06:53.
Yorkshire is being called upon to return the favour. | :06:53. | :07:02.
Later in the programme: Are the Bradford Bulls back in business? | :07:02. | :07:06.
Rugby League fans dig deep but have they raised the 500,000 needed to | :07:06. | :07:12.
keep the club alive? Patrols have been stepped up in a | :07:12. | :07:16.
Bradford park after a prize winning dog was savaged by a dog resembling | :07:16. | :07:19.
a pit bull terrier. The four-year- old Bedlington Terrier was left | :07:19. | :07:21.
with horrific injuries after the incident at Victoria Park in | :07:21. | :07:25.
Oakenshaw. Small children were playing nearby at the time. You may | :07:26. | :07:35.
:07:36. | :07:38. | ||
find some of the pictures in Ian White's report upsetting. | :07:38. | :07:42.
This is my dog, who has been attacked. She is not herself at all. | :07:42. | :07:49.
She is not happy. Bradford dog lover Paul Rhodes showed me her | :07:49. | :07:51.
award winning Bedlington Terrier, now recovering back at home after | :07:51. | :07:56.
an horrific attack by a pit bull type dog that was not on a lead. | :07:56. | :08:00.
took one look at her and in a split-second it grabbed hold of her | :08:00. | :08:06.
shoulder and it will stir in the air several times. -- tossed her in | :08:06. | :08:11.
the air. Then it lay on top of that. The dog was rushed to an emergency | :08:11. | :08:16.
vet and spent the night on a drip. She has got big cuts and bruises on | :08:16. | :08:22.
her robes and legs. The four-year- old dog is normally a confident | :08:22. | :08:26.
companion who has taken numerous prizes around Yorkshire at dog | :08:26. | :08:33.
shows. She has won at 16 results, a gold medal, and she has done three | :08:33. | :08:37.
exams in he'll work. Within a split second, she is now going to be | :08:37. | :08:41.
scarred for work. This savage attack happened in Victoria Park at | :08:41. | :08:46.
around 5pm on Sunday evening. It is a popular area with dog-walkers, | :08:46. | :08:51.
and children were playing behind me here. If you have a big dog, just | :08:51. | :08:56.
be in mind that that dog can do a lot of damage in a short space of | :08:56. | :09:02.
time. That is to consider putting it on a lead if you are around | :09:02. | :09:06.
other dogs and children. A experts so well trained dogs should rarely | :09:06. | :09:12.
pose a problem, but did advise pet owners: however distressing it may | :09:12. | :09:18.
seem, resist getting in the middle of those dogs because we know that | :09:18. | :09:22.
they can cause severe injury to people as well as other dogs. | :09:22. | :09:25.
man who was with the dog that attacked this terrier left the | :09:25. | :09:29.
scene without leaving his details. Bradford council says it will be | :09:29. | :09:33.
stepping up dog warden patrols in the area. In other news now, and | :09:33. | :09:36.
the Respect Party is to fight a third of the seats being contested | :09:36. | :09:39.
at next month's local elections in Bradford. It is the biggest | :09:39. | :09:43.
campaign ever fought by the party in a northern city. After the | :09:43. | :09:45.
victory of George Galloway at the Bradford West by-election, Respect | :09:45. | :09:48.
said it would target Bradford at the local government elections. It | :09:48. | :09:51.
is currently one of the most closely contested councils in | :09:51. | :09:56.
Yorkshire. Labour runs it but is one short of an overall majority. | :09:56. | :09:58.
In the recent past, the Conservatives have also been in | :09:58. | :10:01.
power in Bradford with the Liberal Democrats the third largest party | :10:01. | :10:05.
in the city. Tributes have been paid to a | :10:05. | :10:08.
Yorkshire soldier who died more than two months after being injured | :10:08. | :10:11.
in an explosion in Afghanistan. 26- year-old Corporal Jack Stanley from | :10:11. | :10:15.
Todmarden served with the Queen's Royal Hussars. He died at the Queen | :10:15. | :10:23.
Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on Sunday. | :10:23. | :10:26.
Police want to trace these two men in connection with an alleged | :10:26. | :10:30.
serious sexual assault in Sheffield last October. A 48-year-old woman | :10:30. | :10:34.
was allegedly raped after meeting the men in a city centre bar. Both | :10:34. | :10:37.
are described as black and of slim build, one with a defined goatee | :10:37. | :10:39.
beard. Anyone with information should contact South Yorkshire | :10:39. | :10:44.
Police. Police are growing increasingly | :10:44. | :10:48.
concerned for the safety of an 82- year-old man who has gone missing | :10:48. | :10:51.
from his home in Rotherham. Ernest Lancaster, who has Alzheimers, was | :10:51. | :10:56.
last seen in the Brinsworth area on Saturday afternoon. Police say he | :10:56. | :11:02.
is vulnerable and taking medication for a heart complaint. | :11:02. | :11:05.
A special service to remember Caroline Stuttle who was murdered | :11:05. | :11:08.
in Australia ten years ago is taking place at York Minster this | :11:08. | :11:11.
evening. The nineteen-year-old died after being robbed and pushed off a | :11:11. | :11:15.
bridge in Bundaburg by a drug addict. Her killer, Ian Previte, | :11:15. | :11:19.
was sentenced to life imprisonment. Her family and friends will light | :11:19. | :11:29.
:11:29. | :11:32. | ||
candles in memory of Caroline. It is our tame year anniversary. We | :11:32. | :11:37.
felt it was important for people to remember Caroline. So many people | :11:37. | :11:40.
have been so supportive over the years, we thought it was a good | :11:40. | :11:45.
idea to all get together and light a candle, and may be light a candle | :11:45. | :11:49.
in memory of those who have lost people. | :11:49. | :11:53.
And part of the legacy of Caroline is now that this family offers | :11:53. | :11:57.
advice worldwide to other backpackers. Their big message is | :11:57. | :12:01.
that ethnic -- anyone should try to take your handbag or backpack, let | :12:01. | :12:05.
it go. Before 7pm: We're live in Rotherham as Yorkshire's latest | :12:05. | :12:08.
cycling superstar comes home with a clutch of medals from the world | :12:08. | :12:12.
championships in Australia. And, we meet the big girl with a | :12:12. | :12:22.
:12:22. | :12:24. | ||
little girl's passion for the toy What was your favourite child had | :12:25. | :12:29.
toy? I collected football memorabilia. I | :12:29. | :12:33.
used to have all the teams. My Little Ponies was a little after | :12:34. | :12:38.
my time. Only a little! Sport, and the Bradford Bulls have | :12:38. | :12:42.
today announced that they have raised the 500,000 they need to | :12:42. | :12:46.
stay temporarily in business. That is only part of the story. They | :12:46. | :12:51.
still need to raise another 500,000 to avoid going into | :12:51. | :12:54.
administration. A local MP has raised concerns about the true | :12:54. | :13:00.
scale of financial problems at the club. | :13:00. | :13:03.
Bulls fans watching their team against Salford in March will not | :13:03. | :13:06.
have realised the financial problems behind the scenes. The | :13:06. | :13:10.
club announced they had just weeks to raise 1 million if they were to | :13:10. | :13:16.
stay in business. They said that things had come to a head. Their | :13:16. | :13:21.
bank, RBS, said they had no choice but to reduce the club's overdraft | :13:21. | :13:25.
facility following their sale of the least of the stadium to pay | :13:25. | :13:29.
debts to the Rugby Football League. The bowls so be needed to raise | :13:29. | :13:34.
500,000 within to avoid going out of business. They fell just so -- | :13:34. | :13:38.
short, but were given an extension until midnight yesterday, which | :13:38. | :13:42.
they today confirmed they have achieved. This has given them a | :13:42. | :13:49.
window of around 10 - 12 weeks to raise the next 500,000. Public | :13:49. | :13:54.
donations and auction of memorabilia and a crowd of nearly | :13:54. | :13:58.
21,000 for their win against Leeds rhinos has helped achieve their | :13:58. | :14:02.
first target. In a statement issued today, their chief executive has | :14:02. | :14:12.
:14:12. | :14:20. | ||
My concerns are the money has come from people who are hard-working. I | :14:20. | :14:24.
need a sustainable long-term future for the club. I hope we can find | :14:24. | :14:28.
answers to some of the questions about the situation with the bank, | :14:28. | :14:33.
where we are with the tax bill, and what happened with the Rugby League. | :14:33. | :14:38.
Then people can understand problems. Yesterday, Bradford Bulls recorded | :14:38. | :14:46.
a win. As they look to raise a further 500,000, a quick way to | :14:46. | :14:50.
achieve this might be to sell player assets. It remains unclear | :14:50. | :14:56.
how deep the financial problems actually are. | :14:56. | :14:59.
Football now, and do you understand what is going on at Huddersfield? | :14:59. | :15:02.
Or Leeds for that matter? They are both losing and in Leeds' case, | :15:02. | :15:05.
they have blown their play-off hopes. Stand up Wednesday on a | :15:05. | :15:08.
brilliant run. And over at Rotherham - call him colourful, | :15:08. | :15:10.
certainly controversial, and you have summed up the Millers' new | :15:10. | :15:16.
manager to a tee. Steve Evans. Well, we will get the round-up in just a | :15:16. | :15:26.
:15:26. | :15:31. | ||
moment with Paul Ogden. First we can speak to him in Rotherham. | :15:31. | :15:36.
A very simple statement to make. Ben Swift is a world champion | :15:36. | :15:41.
cyclist. We knew he was a start but he has just come back from | :15:41. | :15:46.
Australia with three medals at we will talk to him very shortly. The | :15:46. | :15:51.
answer to your questions, why has Steve Evans gone to Rotherham? It | :15:51. | :16:01.
:16:01. | :16:07. | ||
is full of lovely people, that his Rotherham United made headlines | :16:07. | :16:14.
over the weekend by enticing star A -- Steve Evans to be their manager. | :16:14. | :16:20.
He will have liked what he saw from the stands. At a 1-0 win means he | :16:20. | :16:27.
can seriously push for the play- offs. Bradford City's defeat at | :16:28. | :16:31.
Shrewsbury showed a candidate for the ugly his goal of the whole | :16:31. | :16:35.
season. It was the only one of the match, leaving Bradford are still | :16:35. | :16:41.
nervous about their League status. One division up, Chesterfield would | :16:41. | :16:44.
have been condemned to dropping out of League One of they failed | :16:44. | :16:51.
against Wycombe. They are one of 4- 0 instead. Are they still need | :16:51. | :16:55.
victories in every one of their four final matches. Sheffield | :16:55. | :16:59.
Wednesday dominated the League One Promotions story over Easter. | :16:59. | :17:08.
Yesterday 3-0 win lifted them into second spot, thanks to goals from | :17:08. | :17:13.
Nadine. The match at Rochelle could cause another swap over. The Hull | :17:13. | :17:18.
City is obsessed for the battle for second place. Fans camped out | :17:18. | :17:23.
overnight last night to get a one a ticket for the final away match at | :17:23. | :17:27.
Brentford. Huddersfield Town were the victims of Wednesday's strength | :17:27. | :17:31.
on Saturday. We were stripped -- suffering the after-effects at | :17:31. | :17:35.
Bournemouth. They were stifled upfront, vulnerable at the back, | :17:35. | :17:40.
they lost to Ivan 0. That is a habit they need to cut out if they | :17:40. | :17:46.
are to contest the play-offs. Whoever goes to the Championship, | :17:46. | :17:51.
we can now assume that Doncaster Rovers will not be there. They are | :17:51. | :17:55.
not down yet after yesterday tour from one defeat to Burnley but will | :17:55. | :17:59.
be if they do not win against Portsmouth. Even Barnsley cannot be | :17:59. | :18:06.
sure of their status. The point we earnt at Blackpool was a good | :18:06. | :18:11.
investment. David Perkins redirected to the shot for a goal. | :18:11. | :18:17.
Leeds United suffered a sending off. They were beaten 2 Ivan 0 up by | :18:17. | :18:26.
Derby County. It was said there will never be another Leeds United | :18:26. | :18:33.
or like this. Still plenty of turns left in the | :18:33. | :18:38.
football season. One thing we can be certain of, as I said, here is a | :18:38. | :18:43.
very big party. It is for Ben Swift who has come back from at the Track | :18:43. | :18:46.
Cycling World Championships with three medals, gold in the scratch | :18:46. | :18:50.
race, two Sylvans, too. Actually, he thought he was coming home to a | :18:50. | :18:55.
quiet night in with his girlfriend and family. A surprise welcome with | :18:55. | :18:59.
60 people from a Rotherham. What a welcome. It was unbelievable. It | :18:59. | :19:05.
was a big surprise. I really appreciated it. I suspect you are | :19:05. | :19:09.
very well loved around here. I do not want to embarrass you! There is | :19:09. | :19:13.
a tight sense of community. I have a great bunch of family and friends. | :19:13. | :19:18.
They support the 100%. It is fantastic to come back to this. | :19:18. | :19:22.
rest of Yorkshire and the UK are wondering where your career will go. | :19:22. | :19:27.
We saw you in the Tour de France. More people watch that in Yorkshire | :19:27. | :19:32.
than ever before. You are back on the track now winning medals. | :19:32. | :19:37.
both, so back to the road after this. There is a race in three | :19:37. | :19:41.
weeks' time. Then we will decide where the Olympics. That fantastic | :19:41. | :19:45.
win in the scratch race and all the other things you achieved, where | :19:45. | :19:50.
does that say? Is that a secondary thing? 4th a bit. It is a massive | :19:50. | :19:55.
achievement for myself. I have been after for a long time. Now I have | :19:56. | :20:01.
to switch my focus back to the road. You are a workaholic. You of going | :20:01. | :20:06.
on your bike. That is always the case with use cyclists. Definitely. | :20:06. | :20:10.
Is a great sport. You're out in the open. There is only one problem. | :20:10. | :20:15.
That is you know your girlfriend cannot be trusted ever again. She | :20:15. | :20:19.
promised you a quiet night in a liquor is here. Was it a difficult | :20:19. | :20:27.
thing to organise? Not quite. I only had a short time to sort this | :20:27. | :20:33.
out. I got his agent on the phone. I could not have pulled it together | :20:33. | :20:38.
without all these people. Absolutely. What was it like for | :20:38. | :20:42.
you watching him on the track in Australia question a I wanted to | :20:42. | :20:48.
drive. I was shouting at the television, going, gone. -- I | :20:48. | :20:56.
wanted to drive. Congratulations, Ben Swift. When did anyone in | :20:56. | :21:02.
Rotherham ever need an excuse for a party? We will stay as long as we | :21:02. | :21:12.
:21:12. | :21:18. | ||
can exact -- as long as we can. In our late bulletin we will have | :21:18. | :21:21.
news of Sheffield United's game at Rochdale, when they will be trying | :21:21. | :21:24.
to move ahead of their neighbours Wednesday into second place in | :21:24. | :21:27.
League One. Do not forget Radio Sheffield will have live commentary | :21:27. | :21:34.
on that match. Now for a story that will rekindle | :21:34. | :21:37.
some happy childhood memories for all you little girls out there. A | :21:37. | :21:39.
woman from South Yorkshire has turned her passion for her | :21:39. | :21:43.
favourite toy from the 1980s into an adult obsession. Sarah Butler | :21:43. | :21:53.
:21:53. | :22:02. | ||
has more than 1,000 My Little Ponies. | :22:02. | :22:08.
Welcome to the single bedroom that in Barnsley and a day way to the | :22:08. | :22:17.
1980s. -- Gateway. In here, more than 2,000 eyes stared down at you. | :22:17. | :22:23.
Everything is My Little Pony, including the duvet, curtains and | :22:23. | :22:27.
clock. Sarah Butler loved the creatures as a small girl but it | :22:27. | :22:31.
was later in life for the childhood games turned into an ad obsession. | :22:31. | :22:36.
It came back when I had to leave college and was terrified of the | :22:36. | :22:41.
idea of having to grow up. I looked for something that would remind me | :22:41. | :22:45.
of when I was younger. I saw some on the day and bought them. It | :22:46. | :22:50.
escalated from there. Now she is 29 and married, she has one of the | :22:50. | :22:53.
biggest collections in the country. She talks to fellow collectors on | :22:53. | :23:02.
the internet every day. They have a certain magic about them. How do | :23:02. | :23:08.
you feel when you come into this room? Happy. It cheers me up. We | :23:08. | :23:18.
:23:18. | :23:24. | ||
can't sit down. It makes me smile. -- it calms me down. | :23:24. | :23:28.
I've stopped asking how much they cost or how many she is expecting. | :23:28. | :23:33.
When they turn up, that is fine. I like them. I think they are nice. I | :23:33. | :23:38.
like the new ones more than the old ones. I have a couple in here that | :23:38. | :23:43.
our mind. I probably should not admit that? Too late for that. Do | :23:43. | :23:49.
not worry, I will not tell people you watch the DVDs and know their | :23:49. | :23:59.
:23:59. | :23:59. | ||
names. At least it makes birthdays nice and easy. | :23:59. | :24:08.
What did you collect? I wanted to be different so I collected 10. | :24:08. | :24:14.
I am not surprised at that. I bet you were a My Little Pony girl. Yes. | :24:14. | :24:24.
:24:24. | :24:25. | ||
I lost count at how many I had. I had to grow up when I went to the | :24:25. | :24:35.
:24:35. | :24:36. | ||
The weather has turned more seasonal. Perfect conditions for | :24:36. | :24:46.
:24:46. | :24:47. | ||
rainbows today. The next picture is a beautiful sunset. Finally, two | :24:47. | :24:55.
lambs. Keep your photographs coming in. We have reached 12 degrees | :24:55. | :24:59.
today. That is average for the time of year. We have April showers. | :24:59. | :25:03.
They will continue as we head through the week. In between, there | :25:03. | :25:08.
will be spells of sunshine. You can see, the reason why, low-pressure | :25:08. | :25:17.
is never too far away. The isobars mean that it will not be quite as | :25:17. | :25:21.
windy. Where the speckles of cloud car, that is where the showers are. | :25:21. | :25:27.
As we head through this evening, there are one or two showers. They | :25:27. | :25:34.
will die away. Elsewhere, it is going to be mostly dry. Clear | :25:35. | :25:44.
:25:45. | :25:47. | ||
spells at first. The wind will die down. We will see a touch of ground | :25:47. | :25:57.
:25:57. | :25:57. | ||
frost. The Sunday Times... -- son times. Those are your high waters. | :25:57. | :26:02.
Tomorrow, for most, it will be a dry start with broken cloud. A few | :26:02. | :26:06.
showers will develop as we go through the morning. Wintry over | :26:06. | :26:11.
the tops of that hills. After lunch, the showers will get going. They | :26:11. | :26:17.
will be more frequent than today. Some will be heavy and thundery. In | :26:17. | :26:22.
between, there will be spells of sunshine. If you avoid the showers, | :26:22. | :26:26.
it will feel pleasant, not as breezy as today. Temperatures will | :26:26. | :26:36.
reach 11 degrees. The winds will gust. The weather does not change | :26:36. | :26:39.
through the week. Ground frost overnight, during the day, sunny | :26:39. | :26:43. |
