Good evening. Welcome to Tuesday's Look North. | :00:05. | :00:07.
On the programme tonight: We're counting down to the Olympics, | :00:07. | :00:11.
but what will Yorkshire get out of the biggest sporting event in the | :00:11. | :00:20.
world? If I had the means and the money, then I'd certainly go away | :00:20. | :00:25.
on the holidays during the Olympics. We'll be talking to those who think | :00:25. | :00:28.
it's a boost for business and those who think it's a waste of money. | :00:28. | :00:30.
Also tonight: Protestors are back outside the | :00:30. | :00:35.
Menwith Hill spy base a decade on from the peace camps of the '90s. | :00:35. | :00:38.
And the Yorkshire soldiers raising money for charity with a spoof | :00:38. | :00:48.
:00:48. | :00:49. | ||
video that's taken the internet by storm. Following the early morning | :00:49. | :00:58.
rain it was a nice day. This shot was taken near Harrowgate. | :00:58. | :01:08.
:01:08. | :01:11. | ||
Good evening. Tomorrow it will be exactly a hundred days until the | :01:11. | :01:15.
Olympics begin. Millions of pounds worth of | :01:15. | :01:18.
taxpayers' money from Yorkshire has been spent on the event, but of | :01:18. | :01:21.
course most of the action will be taking place hundreds of miles away. | :01:21. | :01:24.
So what's in it for us? A good Yorkshire question, that. In a | :01:24. | :01:27.
moment we'll be hearing both sides of the argument, but first, here's | :01:27. | :01:31.
Nicola Lawrence. Meet the Riggs family from Harrogate. All five are | :01:31. | :01:36.
going to London to be volunteers during this summer's Olympic Games. | :01:36. | :01:40.
Just to be, like, amongst the buzz of it all and being in London | :01:40. | :01:44.
during the Games and meeting people from all over the world. Somebody | :01:44. | :01:49.
said to me the other day, "What's in it for you?" I explained we | :01:49. | :01:52.
didn't get paid or accommodation provided. I said it would be a | :01:52. | :01:56.
fantastic thing to be involved in. We're all really excited. | :01:56. | :02:00.
everyone is as enthusiastic. A survey carried out last month | :02:00. | :02:03.
showed that 41% of people in the North of England were interested in | :02:03. | :02:08.
the Games, but more than half couldn't care less. It's nothing to | :02:08. | :02:12.
do with Yorkshire, is it? It's all in London. I don't see how it's | :02:12. | :02:16.
going to affect anyone up here. think it could promote, like, | :02:16. | :02:19.
athletes from Yorkshire, but other than that I don't think it's going | :02:19. | :02:23.
to do anything. If I had the means and the money, then I'd certainly | :02:23. | :02:28.
go away on my holidays during the Olympics. Whether you care about | :02:28. | :02:35.
the Games or not, your tax have been used to build the Olympic Park. | :02:35. | :02:38.
21 years ago when Sheffield was used to stage the Games, that | :02:38. | :02:43.
wasn't the cost. One was the sporting infrastructure cost, 150 | :02:43. | :02:48.
million. The other was the actual running of the Games. They lost 10 | :02:49. | :02:53.
million further. It cost the Sheffield taxpayers 160 million. | :02:53. | :02:58.
There was no support from central Government. Apart from helping pay | :02:58. | :03:02.
for the Games is Yorkshire making money from them? We know of at | :03:02. | :03:06.
least three local businesses who have won direct contracts from the | :03:06. | :03:10.
Games. Then there are the athletes from abroad who have chosen | :03:10. | :03:15.
Yorkshire as the place to train ahead of the Games. It's hoped by | :03:15. | :03:19.
attracting teams like the Chinese squad, who will train here in Leeds | :03:19. | :03:29.
there, will be reasons for local businesses in the future. | :03:29. | :03:32.
We've had scores of comments from you on our Facebook site. Opinion | :03:32. | :03:36.
is pretty much divided. Becky Hancox says, "I'm really shocked so | :03:36. | :03:40.
many people don't care. It's a big deal and a great chance to show the | :03:40. | :03:42.
world what's best about Britain!" Richard Nicholson says, "The | :03:42. | :03:45.
Olympics and the Jubilee will be tremendous adverts for Britain and | :03:45. | :03:48.
will encourage visitors for many years to come. I can't believe the | :03:48. | :03:58.
negativity." Donna Wilbor: "It's wasteful when | :03:58. | :04:01.
people in our country are struggling. We have families | :04:01. | :04:04.
finding feeding themselves hard and yet the millions being spent on | :04:04. | :04:05.
these unnecessary things continues." | :04:05. | :04:11.
Sarah Reed: "Total and utter waste of money. As for the revenue it | :04:11. | :04:14.
will generate, how many of the most needy are going to benefit from | :04:14. | :04:16.
it?" we're joined now by Gary Verity, | :04:16. | :04:19.
chief executive of Yorkshire Gold, whose job it is to make sure | :04:19. | :04:21.
Yorkshire benefits from the Olympics and Andrew Allison from | :04:21. | :04:27.
the Taxpayers' Alliance. Gary, first of all, sell Yorkshire | :04:27. | :04:31.
taxpayers the benefits of the Olympics 200 miles down the road in | :04:31. | :04:33.
London. I don't think it matters about selling people the benefits | :04:33. | :04:38.
of them. They're happening anyway in a hundred days' time. We can | :04:38. | :04:41.
either make the most of them and seize the opportunities there are | :04:41. | :04:44.
with them or we can carp on about them. The fact of the matter is if | :04:44. | :04:48.
you wanted to have a debate whether they're a good or a bad idea that | :04:48. | :04:54.
should have been had eight or nine years ago. The reality is they're | :04:54. | :04:58.
happening. They have kept people in Yorkshire in jobs. They're keeping | :04:58. | :05:05.
people in Yorkshire in jobs. We have provided not only the - half | :05:05. | :05:10.
of the timber is from our site in Leeds in Sheffield, 80% of the | :05:10. | :05:15.
steel has come from Yorkshire that's built the Olympic Park and | :05:15. | :05:22.
2,500 wagons from Preston took that steel down to the Park. 635% of the | :05:22. | :05:27.
hardstanding is from Huddersfield. These are real-life examples. | :05:27. | :05:30.
safe to say you're a big fan of the Olympics. | :05:30. | :05:35.
Let me ask you, get out of that. I am not saying I am not a big fan of | :05:35. | :05:40.
the Olympics. I am sure I'll watch a few events. If we want to go back | :05:40. | :05:50.
to 2005, it was 2-3 billion. It's gone up and up. The Budget has been | :05:50. | :05:53.
revised upwards. It has cost taxpayers. Yes, it has. Yorkshire | :05:53. | :05:57.
taxpayers are paying for this as well. What sort of legacy are they | :05:57. | :06:02.
going to get? After the Games are over, there will be nothing there | :06:02. | :06:06.
at all. The only legacy will be a bill. The legacy - we have done | :06:06. | :06:09.
well leading up to it, but what about afterwards? I think you'll | :06:09. | :06:13.
find we do extremely well out of it simply because if you look at | :06:13. | :06:17.
tourism - we flow 69% of Londoners want to get out of London for the | :06:17. | :06:20.
duration of the Olympics. They're all coming here? We're marketing | :06:20. | :06:27.
hard into London - 24 hours ago I was on BBC London. You're starting | :06:27. | :06:31.
a campaign yourself - Londoners aren't interested. Why should | :06:31. | :06:35.
people in Yorkshire be interested? We want people to come and spend | :06:35. | :06:40.
money here, eat our food, drink our beer and so on. That's very much | :06:40. | :06:46.
what's going to happen. Are people going to rent their houses out in | :06:46. | :06:50.
London for a fortune and come up here to the reasonably-priced | :06:50. | :06:56.
Yorkshire? That may be one way of putting it, but I am not sure | :06:56. | :07:01.
that'll apply to everyone, but having the torch relay here... | :07:01. | :07:05.
You're hogging it... Those images will go around the world. Andrew? | :07:05. | :07:10.
Most of my colleagues will want to get out of London. Yes, they may | :07:10. | :07:13.
want to come to Yorkshire, that's true. This is for a couple of weeks | :07:13. | :07:17.
in the summer. Yes, some businesses have benefited from this, but where | :07:17. | :07:21.
is the legacy? When the torch goes on the Carlisle railway line, when | :07:21. | :07:25.
it goes on the sea front in Scarborough, aren't people going to | :07:25. | :07:29.
look and think, wow, Yorkshire is fabulous? Isn't it going to be | :07:29. | :07:33.
worth it in terms of free advertising? It may well do. I | :07:33. | :07:36.
don't necessarily disagree with that but I don't think we're going | :07:36. | :07:39.
to get legions of foreigners coming into Yorkshire. They're going to | :07:39. | :07:42.
spend two weeks in London. I don't think they're going to spend a lot | :07:42. | :07:46.
of time going around the country. I don't think we're going to get | :07:46. | :07:51.
agreement between the two of you. You both get a gold medal. It has | :07:51. | :07:54.
been an interesting debate. Let's calm it all down. | :07:54. | :07:56.
Tomorrow on Look North we'll be speaking to one of Yorkshire's | :07:57. | :07:59.
Olympic hopefuls, Ed Clancy. With the 100-day countdown almost upon | :07:59. | :08:02.
us, he said its beginning to feel like the race is just around the | :08:03. | :08:10.
corner. It is starting to become, like, a reality, you know? There | :08:10. | :08:13.
was talk about this event even before Beijing. There was as much | :08:13. | :08:17.
talk about the London Olympics as the Beijing Olympics, so - no, it's | :08:17. | :08:21.
starting to become a bit of a reality, but we're not stressing | :08:21. | :08:24.
out just yet. We'll leave that a few more weeks, at least. | :08:24. | :08:27.
Next tonight - for the first time in over a decade protestors have | :08:27. | :08:30.
gathered outside Menwith Hill spy base in North Yorkshire. It's being | :08:30. | :08:32.
described as an Occupy camp, similar to protests against | :08:32. | :08:35.
capitalism that have taken place in Leeds, Sheffield and Bradford. But | :08:35. | :08:38.
it's brought back memories of the women's peace camp of the early | :08:38. | :08:48.
:08:48. | :08:52. | ||
90's which occupied the site for The tents started appearing on | :08:52. | :08:57.
Sunday - another Occupy protest, but this time without a bank or | :08:57. | :09:00.
building society in sight. Today is the global day of action | :09:00. | :09:04.
against military spending, and there are similar demonstrations | :09:04. | :09:07.
taking place all over the world. An important part of what Occupy is | :09:07. | :09:11.
trying to do is to reach out to other organisations and unite | :09:11. | :09:15.
people in what is kind of a global fight against economic injustice. | :09:15. | :09:19.
These tents may have been set up under a different banner. The | :09:19. | :09:24.
Occupy movement is very much a modern phenomenon, but almost 20 | :09:24. | :09:31.
years after that original Men With Peace Camp, the message remains the | :09:31. | :09:34.
same. Helen John was one of the original | :09:34. | :09:38.
peace women, a veteran of Greenham Common, who then camped on this | :09:38. | :09:43.
very spot for years. It wasn't a waste of time. I mean, we had the | :09:43. | :09:45.
knowledge to understand how dangerous this place is, and, you | :09:45. | :09:50.
know, the work that we will have to carry out now - all of that effort | :09:50. | :09:54.
will be put to good use, so it hasn't been a waste of time. We | :09:54. | :09:59.
just haven't used it as effectively as we could have done at the time. | :09:59. | :10:03.
Things seem to be organised and cooperative. Our plan is to assist | :10:03. | :10:10.
you to have a peaceful demonstration. Excellent. But then | :10:10. | :10:14.
the demonstrators decided to make a move, tying banners with messages | :10:14. | :10:20.
of peace to the perimeter fence. It drew an immediate response. | :10:20. | :10:23.
It's not intentionally provocative. I would say that the policemen | :10:23. | :10:28.
dragging them down next to us is deliberately provocative. Further | :10:28. | :10:31.
demonstrations are planned this evening. Afterwards, the protesters | :10:31. | :10:41.
:10:41. | :10:43. | ||
decide whether it's time to break Do stay with us. Lots to come | :10:43. | :10:47.
before 7.00pm. We'll meet a woman tightening her | :10:47. | :10:50.
purse strings for charity. Ruby Smith is spending just 1 a | :10:50. | :10:55.
day on food. She'll be here to tell us what's on the menu. | :10:55. | :10:58.
A man's described the moment his hot air balloon crash landed on | :10:58. | :11:03.
power cables near Selby. 61-year-old John Newstead was left | :11:03. | :11:07.
with just a black eye after the balloon was dragged 200 yards by a | :11:07. | :11:10.
gust of wind as it was trying to land. He'd taken the flight on | :11:10. | :11:16.
Friday 13th! Ian White reports. John Newstead loves photography and | :11:16. | :11:20.
wanted to get some dramatic pictures, so he booked a hot air | :11:20. | :11:25.
balloon trip as a special treat, but there was more drama than he | :11:25. | :11:28.
bargained for when the balloon crash landed on power lines moments | :11:28. | :11:34.
after taking these pictures. There was an almighty bump, and we went | :11:34. | :11:37.
over the bank, which committee didn't realise, drifted for a | :11:37. | :11:41.
hundred yards or so, then stopped. We could hear a few crackles and | :11:41. | :11:46.
bangs. He said, "You can come out now." It was only then we noticed | :11:46. | :11:52.
how close we were to the water and the fact we were tangled in the | :11:52. | :11:56.
electrical wires. We could have been electric outed or drowned. | :11:56. | :12:04.
balloon attempted to land in West Haddlesey, but a strong wind caught | :12:04. | :12:09.
the balloon at the last moment. lost sight of the balloon from the | :12:09. | :12:13.
road and it drifted over to the lines, and as you can see the | :12:13. | :12:19.
situation where it is, they have been really lucky. The cables carry | :12:19. | :12:23.
66,000 votes. Fortunately, the power was cut as the balloon hit | :12:23. | :12:26.
them. All passengers escaped without injury. John was left with | :12:26. | :12:31.
a black eye. When we curled up to brace ourselves for landing, I | :12:31. | :12:36.
tucked my camera between my knees, then the jolt as we bounced along, | :12:36. | :12:40.
the thing smacked me in the face. full investigation has been | :12:40. | :12:44.
launched to find out what went wrong. John says he would fly again. | :12:44. | :12:48.
I can't wait to get up there - the same pilot. He treated us all | :12:49. | :12:53.
wonderfully. He did so well to avoid a catastrophe. But he | :12:53. | :12:57.
probably won't be in a hurry to take a balloon trip again on Friday | :12:57. | :13:02.
the 13th! A busy news day. | :13:02. | :13:07.
The Sheffield United footballer who was accused of attempting to rape a | :13:07. | :13:12.
woman has been giving evidence. 23- year-old Mr Evans told the court | :13:12. | :13:18.
the woman consented to sex. He and another player both deny rape. Ched | :13:18. | :13:21.
Evans is expected to continue giving evidence in court tomorrow. | :13:21. | :13:23.
You may remember this story. Two nurseries in York which were | :13:23. | :13:26.
being investigated over the care and supervision they give to | :13:26. | :13:29.
children have been given the all clear by Ofsted. Little Joe's and | :13:29. | :13:31.
Heworth House nurseries were issued with "welfare requirement notices", | :13:31. | :13:34.
but the watchdog says they've taken action and are following all | :13:34. | :13:36.
regulations. The solicitor representing both nurseries says | :13:36. | :13:38.
the allegations were brought by a former member of staff, and | :13:38. | :13:47.
children's welfare was never 140,000 people have signed a | :13:47. | :13:52.
petition calling for more support for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. It | :13:52. | :13:55.
means the issue will now be discussed in Parliament. | :13:55. | :13:59.
Campaigners want the charity to be exempt from paying VAT on the fuel | :13:59. | :14:08.
their helicopters use. It would save the charity 6,000 a year. | :14:08. | :14:14.
a total costs each year are 2.6 million and 6,000 is a great help | :14:14. | :14:18.
towards the cost of running the helicopters. It would mean we could | :14:18. | :14:22.
reach three people, and at the moment we would have to raise that | :14:22. | :14:28.
extra money for it. More than 400 police and other agencies carried | :14:29. | :14:31.
out the biggest ever swoop across South Yorkshire today on scrap | :14:31. | :14:34.
yards suspected of buying and selling stolen metal. 40 arrests | :14:34. | :14:37.
were made after months of planning against a highly dangerous crime | :14:37. | :14:41.
which is costing the country hundreds of millions of pounds. Our | :14:41. | :14:50.
Crime Correspondent John Cundy watched the operation. Ready to go | :14:50. | :14:55.
on today's massive operation South Yorkshire. One of the biggest raids | :14:56. | :15:00.
at this scrap metal dealers in Barnsley. Today there were 40 | :15:00. | :15:07.
arrests. It is a significant problem. It has set -- it affects | :15:07. | :15:15.
transport, all air transport infrastructures. They must find out | :15:15. | :15:19.
of anything illegal has been going on in this Yard. If it has, thieves | :15:19. | :15:25.
will have been risking their lives that to sell scrap metal. These can | :15:25. | :15:33.
Carrick anything up to 132,000 volts. And so it this Hopper will | :15:33. | :15:37.
be investigated. It must be established whether there has been | :15:37. | :15:44.
anything illegal. We have seen a doubling of metal theft in 2011 | :15:44. | :15:54.
compared to 2010. In Rotherham, vehicles received -- seized and | :15:54. | :15:59.
searched. This is one of 10 sites raided by police across South | :15:59. | :16:03.
Yorkshire today it in the biggest ever come down on metal baton the | :16:03. | :16:09.
county. As copper prices soar, metal first a costing the British | :16:09. | :16:17.
economy 800 billion at a year. When they beat us doing this, they | :16:18. | :16:27.
:16:28. | :16:30. | ||
have no regard for public safety -- when they are doing this. Before | :16:30. | :16:35.
7pm: The Yorkshire soldiers still finding time for fun in the most | :16:35. | :16:43.
dangerous place in the world. And they've become internet stars, but | :16:44. | :16:53.
Now, if you've just had your tea, spare a thought for Ruby Smith from | :16:53. | :16:56.
Sheffield. The council worker has just begun a challenge to spend no | :16:56. | :17:02.
more than 1 a day on food for a month. It's part of a UNICEF | :17:02. | :17:05.
charity campaign to raise money and help people understand what its | :17:05. | :17:12.
like to live below the poverty line. We'll be meeting her in a moment, | :17:12. | :17:21.
but first Tom Ingall finds out what its like to live on so little. | :17:21. | :17:27.
Breakfast, one slice of dry toast and a Kiwi. This is day five of | :17:27. | :17:31.
Ruby Smith's challenge to buy it all her food and a budget of just | :17:31. | :17:39.
1 a day. It is a constant reminder of why am doing it. I'm only doing | :17:39. | :17:44.
it for a month, it is not that difficult. There are 1.4 billion | :17:44. | :17:49.
people around the world who do this without any choice every day. | :17:49. | :17:54.
Smith is a volunteer for the charity Unicef. They ask people to | :17:54. | :17:58.
live below the poverty line for a week and she is doing it for a | :17:58. | :18:03.
month. My priority has been to make sure I'm getting enough calories | :18:03. | :18:08.
because I am doing the Great North Run of this year so I am doing a | :18:08. | :18:12.
lot of training. I need to make sure I'm having enough throughout | :18:12. | :18:18.
the course of the day. It is then after work. No snacks, no treats | :18:18. | :18:22.
and avoiding the temptation of lunch bag with colleagues. I have | :18:22. | :18:27.
already learnt so much about my own ways of shopping and eating that I | :18:27. | :18:32.
definitely want to change, because it is quite a wasteful lifestyles | :18:32. | :18:38.
that I do and other people do as well. If it does force Ruby to | :18:38. | :18:43.
change her habits, she knows she is lucky to have that choice at all. | :18:43. | :18:51.
Ruby Smith joins us now. You can't live off 1 a day! You can, it's | :18:51. | :18:55.
not fun, but it is possible. this looks really appetising, but | :18:55. | :19:01.
the trouble is that this source, you have got to make it last nearly | :19:01. | :19:11.
:19:11. | :19:18. | ||
afford night. -- two weeks. I don't like Pastor! Has it made you change | :19:18. | :19:28.
:19:28. | :19:29. | ||
or has it made you think about what you spend on food? A absolutely. | :19:30. | :19:34.
Their 1.4 billion people who do it every single day. It is a good, a | :19:34. | :19:37.
constant reminder about what you are eating and the actual cost of | :19:37. | :19:46.
that. It should remind us how much food we waste as well. Yes, | :19:46. | :19:50.
normally I wouldn't eat the crust on my toast, but at the minute I | :19:50. | :19:57.
need crusts! And you can't afford margarine. He need the energy at | :19:57. | :20:02.
the moment? Yes, I'm doing the Great North Run and the Great North | :20:02. | :20:10.
wind. I need to get enough calories. Yes, so pasta and rice. Yes, and | :20:10. | :20:20.
:20:20. | :20:20. | ||
beans. If you wanted have a binge for a quid, what could you have?! | :20:20. | :20:30.
You could have up a pizza and then have half a lunch and half a tea. | :20:30. | :20:34.
What about alcohol? I'm just drinking water all the time, not | :20:34. | :20:39.
even tea and coffee. It is difficult. Do you feel half the? | :20:39. | :20:48.
Yes, I'm being really care for, and making sure I have at least two of | :20:48. | :20:54.
my five the day and having lots of beans. And are you going to the | :20:54. | :20:58.
supermarket and looking at those it stands for the Save reduced, ended | :20:58. | :21:05.
the day? Are not been doing that, because I feel a bit like it's | :21:05. | :21:10.
cheating. Bad has been looking for the cheapest options -- I have just | :21:10. | :21:19.
been looking. What do you miss? If you were to dream of anything? I | :21:19. | :21:23.
dream of chocolate at night. I do miss chocolate. Cups of tea is the | :21:23. | :21:29.
main thing. Are concede Paul in the corner of the studio thinking he is | :21:30. | :21:33.
going to go home to his wife and say, look, here is the how scheming | :21:33. | :21:43.
:21:43. | :21:47. | ||
for a week! Thank you. Some sport news now, and Dewsbury | :21:47. | :21:50.
boxer Gary Sykes will be heading to Las Vegas next month to fight on | :21:50. | :21:53.
the same bill as Amir Khan's world title bout. The 28-year-old is | :21:53. | :21:56.
taking on Adrien Broner in a non- title contest. Broner is considered | :21:56. | :21:59.
the best super-featherweight in the world, and is the current world | :21:59. | :22:02.
champion. The contest has a potential worldwide TV audience, so | :22:02. | :22:06.
it's a chance for the man from Dewsbury Moor to make an impact. | :22:06. | :22:09.
Some Rugby League news, and Huddersfield have signed hooker | :22:09. | :22:13.
Scott Moore until the end of the season. Moore, seen here in 2009 | :22:13. | :22:16.
scoring for the Giants, was sacked by Widnes just last week for a | :22:16. | :22:20.
breach of club discipline. The 24- year-old returns to the Galpharm | :22:20. | :22:27.
after a loan spell there earlier in his career. Yorkshire soldiers on | :22:27. | :22:30.
operations in Afghanistan have come up with an unusual way of spending | :22:30. | :22:33.
their downtime. They're attempting to cover 8,000 miles by running, | :22:33. | :22:38.
rowing and cycling. It's all for charity and they've come up with a | :22:38. | :22:41.
little extra something that will make you smile - a spoof music | :22:41. | :22:48.
video that's already had thousands of hits on the internet. Nicola | :22:48. | :22:58.

It's probably not the way you pictured it, but this is a British | :23:02. | :23:06.
military base in Afghanistan and these are soldiers from First | :23:06. | :23:13.
Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. They are making use of their | :23:14. | :23:18.
downtime by raising money for charity and to their spiffed music | :23:18. | :23:28.
:23:28. | :23:30. | ||
video is taking the internet by storm. -- spoof. It is a good | :23:30. | :23:35.
driving force and it keeps our fitness up as well. Their latest | :23:35. | :23:39.
fit this challenge was inspired by the Proclaimers. They worked out | :23:39. | :23:43.
that if you add up every mile mentioned in this song, you get | :23:43. | :23:47.
8,000. And that is how many they are attempting to run a, er Breaux | :23:47. | :23:57.
:23:57. | :23:59. | ||
and cycle. They want to raise up a pound for every mile. So far, this | :23:59. | :24:03.
sergeant is top of the leaderboard. I thought if I was heading up the | :24:03. | :24:08.
challenge, it would only be right to take on the range and go for the | :24:08. | :24:12.
shot. There is a couple of people pushing up behind me, but I think | :24:12. | :24:22.
:24:22. | :24:23. | ||
I'm capable to hold them off. video was shot in a single take and | :24:23. | :24:27.
it's already well on its way to 8,000 hits on the internet. But | :24:27. | :24:37.
:24:37. | :24:38. | ||
will it help them hit their 8,000 target? They certainly had so. -- | :24:38. | :24:48.
:24:48. | :25:01. | ||
Only 992,000 more hits to go! would you walk 1000 miles to see | :25:01. | :25:08.
me? Of course! And the Proclaimers band members have seen that video | :25:08. | :25:15.
and were so impressed they have put it on their website. Paul, how much | :25:15. | :25:22.
do you spend a day on food? You can gauge the market and get a carrier | :25:22. | :25:29.
bag of bananas for a pound, which won last you for days on end! | :25:29. | :25:36.
pictures to show you. This is a beautiful rainbow. And a rather | :25:36. | :25:46.

outbreaks of rain. Just in the last couple of hours, the showers have | :26:25. | :26:31.
really been given a kick. Don't be surprised if you hear the odd clap | :26:31. | :26:35.
of thunder out there. The showers will slowly die away then it | :26:35. | :26:39.
becomes dry with clear spells overnight. Some patchy fog and even | :26:39. | :26:47.
a touch of the ground frost. Tomorrow's when his legs to the | :26:47. | :26:57.

Longer outbreaks of rain will slowly meander up from the south. | :27:09. | :27:15.
It will not rain all day, there will be some drier spots. Showers | :27:15. | :27:21.
could be heavy with the risk of hail and thunder. Top temperatures | :27:21. | :27:30. |
