Selby. Last night, two motorcyclists were killed in North Yorkshire. This

year, seven have died already. And North Yorkshire Police have had

enough of doubts on Yorkshire's roads.

Also tonight, Eid Mubarak. Hundreds of thousands of people in Yorkshire

mark the end of Ramadan. We investigate how it helps businesses

here. And why this man from Marsden is

striding around with a stick and a song.

And it's been another pleasant day. These were the fine conditions over

Tadcaster at what is in store for the weekend? I will be back later

this one 180 mph. Many of us love to ride them but they are causing the

police a great deal of concern. One of our most senior officers accused

a hard-core bikers at treating parts of North Yorkshire like a race

track. Last night a motorcyclist was killed near Selby. Today another was

injured near Middlesbrough. In North Yorkshire, seven bikers have died

this year. We will talk to some in a moment.

are North Yorkshire's roads has taken a turn for the worst. A

Road deaths involving bikers in the period has stood in 2010 at 11,

are concerning, but mainly it is a tragic loss of life. Whoever's fault

it is for the disturbing rise in biker deaths, these are very clear

White is in Helmsley. Helmsley is a real magnet for bikers

and the road between Helmsley and Stokesley is popular. It has been

described in a biking magazine as the Northern TT, which may be a

little naughty. Jolly, you have been a biker for 30 years. What you make

of the latest initiative from the police? Why are things so bad?

think the increased figures, there are a lot of factors. The quality of

roads is pondering these days. We have suffered some bad winters, wet

summers and the quality of roads from a motorcyclist's point of view

is upon them. What blame should bikers take? We do see irresponsible

riding. It is a small percentage of bikers that are irresponsible. There

are a few out there who need to address their riding style and the

majority of riders just want to make progress. Does this it your blood

boiling when you hear the police talk of bikers using the roads as a

race track? It does because it doesn't represent motorcycling in

general. They could 11 deaths. One death is terrible, even 11 is really

bad, but in a lot of cases they don't state how it happened. It is

often not a solo motorcycle but involvement with another vehicle.

You want motorists to take more care as well? If motorcycle attacked if

motorists were more aware of motor cycles and showed a little bit more

care, we are very vulnerable, we don't have a bump buddy crash.

She is described as vulnerable. She was last seen at her home at 4pm in

Poole Road in Sheffield. Her whereabouts are a mystery. It is

thought she may have travelled to Bradford, possibly with a man and

perhaps that man is known to us. There are leads for detectives to

follow up. Erica is described as being forfeit 11, of slim build.

When she went missing on Monday she was wearing blue jeans, a pink polo

type shirt. That picture has been circling to media and also to CCTV

operators in the hope she can be traced. If she is watching, the

police say it is imperative you talk to your parents or contact another

relative. Anyone else with information is urged to contact

Crimestoppers. Later, a recipe for success. A Leeds

royalty. Campaigners hoping to stop a waste

incinerator being built in North Yorkshire have failed in their bid

to challenge the decision. They hoped a judge would quash planning

permission but he has ruled the process was legal. It means the

incinerator can be built at Allerton Park if funding can be found.

A male nurse has been suspended from Scarborough Hospital after reports

of inappropriate behaviour with a patient. The allegation involves an

80-year-old female patient. Police said the investigation is in its

early stages and no arrests have been made. Safeguarding measures

have been put in place. Workers at Ardagh Glass sites in

Yorkshire have suspended strike action while they consider a new pay

offer. The company runs factories in Barnsley, Doncaster and Knottingley.

Members of the Unite and the GMB union 's had voted to strike today

but the company has now offered a pay rise of 5.5% over the next two

years. Patients in Yorkshire will benefit

from today's News of the government is spending more than �10 million on

health research locally. Some money will go towards rolling out a

special smart shoe for stroke victims which was developed in

Sheffield. It is an intelligent shoe, or more

accurately in Seoul, which can fit inside any item of footwear. It

works by sending electronic signals to a computer, enabling doctors,

physiotherapists and stroke patients to see how they are progressing. Bob

Barwell had a stroke five years ago and is one of only a handful of

people who has been asked to trial the new technology, thought to be

More than 300,000 people across Yorkshire have been celebrating the

Muslim festival of Eid. It marks the end of Ramadan, the 30 day holy

period when Muslims fast during daylight hours, but each also has a

big effect on Yorkshire's economy. This time last, sales at Meadowhall

but are there any young up-and-comers who might follow in

her footsteps? There are now two young Yorkshireman who are tuning up

for the European Championships in Portugal next month, and Sarah's

achievements are never far from their minds. Last time we saw

Huddersfield's ten lead on our screens, he was a young hopeful.

Maybe we thought, for that 2016 Rio Olympics. One year and several

haircuts later, 14-year-old Tim's selection for the European

Championship squad has shown how right we were. I train hard and I'm

willing to improve. I have the potential to win medals. There are

lots of early starts, trips abroad, but it is all worth it. Yorkshire's

versioning tae kwon do culture has produced another Team GB member,

Jacob borrowed from Bradford, who is in the Europe and squad for Portugal

as well. Both will soon be off to Spain for a treading can to prepare.

It is 100% all the time, now I've been coming here it's a lot more

hours, but I'm getting used to work and it's intense, so it a lot of

work but I love it. The club is getting involved with that Team GB

tae kwon do Academy and getting educated along the lines of what we

teach, so by the time they come into these training sessions, they

already have these basic skills, modern tae kwon do techniques that

are required to technique and be successful at a high level. Normally

we might regret Sarah Stevenson's decision to retire from competition,

until you realise how many she has inspired. For Tim and Jacob, this is

threatening to deliver his major title before the season has

finished. On day two at the US PGA, Westwood has hovered around the top

of the leaderboard until a fairly disastrous last few holes on his

on the coast, 20 degrees at the top of the Vale of York, so the king

further ahead, on Sunday there will be a scattering of showers, a breezy
