First tonight, there's heartbreak have a second baby. End of story.

First tonight, there's heartbreak for Sheffield United after a

dramatic FA Cup semi final at Wembley. The Blades led twice in the

match and went into half time in the lead against Hull. But ultimately

their match against Hull ended in disappointment. Our reporter is at

Wembley now. It may have ended in disappointment

but it has been a fantastic day. The Sheffield United fans came here

daring to dream and their team did them proud. Before the game, a

poignant moment as Wembley remembered the fans who died at

Hillsborough 25 years ago. United settled quickly into the game and

scored first. The Liverpool lad paid his own tribute. Sheffield United

came straight back at them. Murphy's cross headed home. Soon

after the break the scores were level again. Huddleston stepped

through the defence and the Premier League side were ahead. For

Sheffield United hero headed home first Hull. Marseille scored for

Sheffield United at the end, 4`3. `` Murphy. The game finished 5`3 to

Hull. Sheffield United fans outnumbered and outs on their Hull

counterparts. They wanted to get to the FA Cup final. We can do it

again. You have to be proud. We were by far the better side. That is the

way it goes. The first half, the first ten minutes of the second half

were not very good. It has been a brilliant day. There might have done

us really proud and we scored three calls. Hopefully next year we will

get some day some players come in. I am proud of them. They have defeated

two Premier League teams to get here. They have not had the best

season in the league but the cup run contributed to their confidence.

Perhaps they will be back next season.

Miners are meeting to consider a deal that would see two pits in our

region close within 18 months. Hundreds of workers are gathering in

Knottingley this evening. The government has offered ?10 million

to allow for a managed closure of Kellingley Colliery and Thoresby Pit

near Worksop, saying without it they would have to close within days. But

it comes with conditions and hasn't yet had the backing of the miners.

The point is to explain to the men what is happening, to show them the

consultation is still ongoing under the 45 day consultation period as a

result of the HR1s that have been issued. To inform them what we can

to because we still do not believe it makes economic or common sense

for the government and the taxpayer to pay more to close the pit and put

men out of work than it would do to keep the pit open and keep them in

Show say stringent checks will be in place this year to stop exhibitors

from cheating. It follows concerns last year that some competitors in

the livestock classes had tampered with their cows' udders to enhance

their appearance. A dairy farmer from York whose family has been

showing cattle for 50 years, says it's a cruel practice that needs to

be stamped out. I think there is only a minority of people that were

doing this, I would expect. Hopefully this will make other

people not do it. We would rather not be showing or anything like

that. I want it to be a level playing field and a good cow on one

day, on another day she might not win and that is how it should be.

Rather than somebody making that cow something it is not.

Could this be the day that Worksop golfer Lee Westwood finally wins a

major title? After the third round of the US Masters in Augusta, he's

tied for seventh place, just three shots off the lead. Westwood has

consistently been ranked in the world's top ten but has never won a

major championship. He's about to start his final round and you can

watch live coverage on BBC Two. Yorkshire's cricketers have made a

strong start to the season in their opening Championship match at

Somerset. They were put into bat at Taunton and half centuries from

Lyth, Balance and Rashid helped them to 342/5 at the close.

High`pressure still with us as we head into next week. Overnight we

are expecting some clear spells but the cloud will bubble up here and

there. Temperatures falling back to six degrees with the wind fairly

strong from the west. Tomorrow we are looking at a decent day from the

word go, plenty of sunshine with some cloud here and there, but all

of us will stay dry. Temperatures getting up to 12 or 13. As we head

through the rest of the week it remains dry, fine and settled with

good spells of sunshine. We are back at 10:15pm.

We got to 17 degrees in the sunshine in London and many places enjoyed a

pleasant day. A different story for the zero wherein was quite wet and

windy. You can see that cloud is moving south. Things do improve

across Scotland. Showers become confined to the far north and the

winds ease overnight. It will turn quite chilly with a church of frost

in southern and western parts overnight. A reasonable start to

Northern Ireland and a vast improvement in Scotland tomorrow
