Police searching for a man who went missing

after going swimming in a reservoir near Barnsley have recovered a body.

38`year`old Jonathan Pardon, from Huddersfield,

had been camping next to Snailsden Reservoir last night.

It was at this beautiful yet secluded spot

that Jonathan Pardon set up camp last night with a friend.

This afternoon, the 38`year`old's body was recovered

from the water here at Snailsden Reservoir near Barnsley.

It was during the evening that Mr Pardon decided to undress,

and then went underneath the water and did not re`emerge.

The water here hides strong undercurrents

Today, for several hours, a search was carried out

including the helicopter, dogs and mounted officers.

Police divers recovered Jonathan's body

The Foreign Office have confirmed that they're working with

the government in Malaysia to search for a Bradford University graduate

Gareth Huntley, whose mother and brother live in West Yorkshire,

since going for a walk in the jungle on Tioman.

His family called for urgent action to step up the search.

Now the Foreign Office have tweeted that 100 people are looking for him,

and boats, dogs and a helicopter have been deployed.

The Queen's baton relay came to South Yorkshire today

as the countdown continues to the Commonwealth Games.

It started in the village of High Bradfield

as the Queen's baton relay came to Yorkshire.

The crowds turned out in High Bradfield this morning to see

the Commonwealth Games version of the Olympic torch.

The baton contains a sealed, secret message from the Queen.

With the Tour De France coming to the village in a few weeks,

it was decided that local cyclists should help carry the baton

as it continued its journey through Sheffield.

We wanted to come down here to have a look.

Just have a look at the baton and have a good time.

I have never seen the Olympic torch or anything to stop so it is good.
