A Yorkshire MP says he is concerned by the number

of passport applications whhch are not being processed on time.

Hugh Bailey says in the past week alone he has intervened

to help seven constituents whose applications were latd.

And he is calling for full refunds to be given to

anyone whose passport hasn't turned up in the specified time.

to Greece yesterday. But until last Wednesday, her trip was in doubt.

Her new passport did not turn up. I was willing to go to the passport

office. It was stressful. It is a massive relief that I will be able

to travel. I would have lost the cost of the holiday for mysdlf and

cutting the number of peopld employed in public sector jobs. Is
