A mystery condition that leaves this teenager asleep for 18 hours a day.

the first team to get promoted in the English Football

Well, with news of a lot of fine weather in the next few days

and an extremely promising forecast for the weekend,

An inquest into the deaths of three men at a care home

in North Yorkshire has heard that one of those who died was emaciated

Albert Pooley died last year at Sowerby House -

a care home in Thirsk that's been at the centre of recent controversy.

At today's inquest, his family said, prior to his death, they'd

raised concerns with staff about his level of care.

The inquest heard evidence today from Albert Pooley's wife, Kathleen,

who said that she'd raised concerns with staff here about the levels

Mrs Pooley, seen here in the dark jacket arriving

at the inquest this morning, said she feared he wasn't

being fed properly and wasn't being given enough to drink.

She was also concerned about him being bathed and showered.

We've also heard evidence from Christina Parsons,

a nurse who did one shift here at the home in

She described how residents were left to sit in urine

and how one man was left to have his breakfast with hundreds

I was trying to address the problems so that others could deal with it.

I spoke to the nurse that I was working alongside,

I spoke to the manager, but nothing was getting done

The home has been the focus of controversial

In 2015, the death of one resident here sparked a murder investigation.

Then, last year, the quality of care was strongly criticised in a report

Since then, Archwood, who own the home, say mistakes have

been corrected and that a new management team

We did hear today, though, from Joanne King,

She admitted that there were deficiencies in record-keeping

here because staff at the time didn't recognise its importance.

She was then asked by the coroner, did you have proper control?

To that she replied, I think I tried my very best.

A teenager has been stabbed close to a school in Huddersfield.

Police were called to reports of an altercation

his parents say they're no closer to finding out what

Three o'clock in the afternoon and Harry Appleton is still asleep.

He went to bed at 10 o'clock last night but can't be roused.

Whatever his condition is, it first appeared almost two years ago.

We thought it was something like a virus.

However, it continued on for six or seven weeks.

Then, all of a sudden, he just sort of sprung out

of that bout of it but, since then, it's continued on.

We've had three more episodes and, this time, it is getting

After 18 hours of sleep, Harry has no memory of his family

trying to wake him and, of course, it's another

It's weird because you're missing out most of your day so...

I want to see my friends again and everything but,

I have to wait until the weekend to be able to see them and that

Another young teenager, Mitch Baldwin, from Sheffield began

to fall into deep sleeps - in his case, lasting days.

When he woke, he would be irritable or disorientated.

He was eventually diagnosed with Kleine?Levin syndrome -

Some people recover between bouts only to lapse again.

Harry has two sisters and the whole family routine can be disrupted

Despite visits to the GP and a stay in hospital,

whatever causes Harry to sleep hasn't been diagnosed.

If we can find out what it is, we can then actually get Harry

Whether there's something we can do about it or not,

that's going to be part of the first hurdle, if you like.

He's now been referred to Sheffield Children's Hospital.

Sheffield United fans will have to wait until the weekend

to have another chance to see their team promoted.

Despite winning tonight at home to Coventry,

their rivals for promotion, Fleetwood Town, also won.

That means the Blades will go to Northampton Town on Saturday

to see whether they can clinch their place

United did their job tonight, Leon Clarke

They beat Coventry 2-0 and they should, really.

United top of the league, Coventry bottom of the league.

But they didn't get promoted the night because Fleetwood Town,

who were playing Oxford United, won 3-0 as well.

There are 13 points between the two teams now and there are 15

The fans we spoke to coming out of the ground,

there's a few of them, say promotion, although it didn't

Bit of a disappointing start, but good in the end.

Not bad but it will be Saturday myself, hopefully anyway.

What does it mean if they do get promoted on Saturday,

Relief after all these years, really, so I can't wait.

So United fans will have to wait until the Northampton

game on Saturday to see whether they'll be promoted.

That game is being played away at Northampton but they are having

And, of course, even if they do get promoted on the weekend,

they've still got a title fight with Bolton to see who will actually

Sheffield United have been in League 1 for six years now, they've been

out of the Premier League for ten years.

It will mean a great deal to this club if they can get back

into the second tier of English football and have a shout at getting

back to where their fans think they should be.

And a good night for Huddersfield Town in the Championship.

Three goals in seven second-half minutes gave Huddersfield a 3-0 win

over Norwich which lifted the Terriers back up to third

Elias Kachunga nipped in after Norwich failed to clear

a long ball to score his 12th goal of the season.

Aaron Mooy made it 2-0 with a low shot that beat Michael McGovern

at his near post and Nahki Wells fired in a third underneath

Huddersfield are nine points behind Brighton with a game in hand.

The cricket season begins. The lovely weather for the start of

that. Here is a sneak preview of this weekend. It will turn

increasingly sunny and warm. Tomorrow, cloudy at times, sunshine

around. High pressure absolutely dominant at the moment but we do

pick up that warm southerly, particularly the second half of the

weekend. Very nice conditions to come for all of us. Try out there at

the moment, very quiet, broken cloud. Temperatures down to four or

five rural retreat, Nero seven or eight in the town and city centres.

Thursday look set to be a nice day. Areas of cloud floating around but

also decent sunny breaks. Where it is cloud over, a chill in the year.

Highs of 12 Celsius. Thursday evening looks fine, Thursday night

looks fine with a variable amount of cloud. But if we skip to be further

outlook, you could see the trend is the increasing amounts of sunshine,

a real lift up in temperatures. or 15. It is sunny towards the
