After Monday's terror attack, security remains tight

across Yorkshire to reassure the public over the bank

Huddersfield prepare for the richest match in world football.

The numbers of armed police officers on our streets remains

high this lunch time - with armed officers from the Civil

and Nuclear Police providing back-up to local forces across Yorkshire.

The terror threat level remains at critical ahead

of the Bank Holiday weekend and there's expected to be

increased security at number of big public events.

Our Home Affairs Correspondent Spencer Stokes joins us now.

Lots of armed police on our streets. Yes and the Civil Nuclear

Constabulary normally provide protection near nuclear facilities

and the Army has now been brought in to protect nuclear power stations

and waste, meaning those forces can provide back-up at railway stations,

on streets, Faulkner County forces and British Transport Police. They

have been at railway stations this morning, helping police and

providing public reassurance that is likely to continue over the next few

days, weeks, until we see the security level downgraded back to

the severe level it at before. For reassurance, some people may find a

painting to see armed police on our streets, particularly with so many

big events planned for this weekend. Yes and in East Yorkshire, we have

BBC Radio one big weekend, many young people expected to attend that

outdoor music concert and Humberside Police have said people should

expect airline security checks when they arrive and they will also see

sniffer dogs in action, so that could slow progress down. Leeds

Arena hosts at the mound tomorrow night and in Sheffield Arena, That

are performing. But security a more regular locations, such as libraries

and you will only be able to use one entrant in those locations, for

example. Lots of different buildings and events across Yorkshire still

just through there, Huddersfield Town could book

themselves a place in the Premier League for the first

like these next week. Sadly, though, that success

has never been matched. It was the early 1970s

when Huddersfield were last in English football's top division,

and recent memories of It's five years since Huddersfield

were last here, when they beat Sheffield United on

Why are we doing it? I think it's going to take our mind

Plenty of sunshine. A really lovely forecast. Sunny and hot. Look at

that clear blue sky... This afternoon, let's look at the

pressure chart, low-pressure starting to dominate, unfortunately,

so wet and heavy showers tomorrow afternoon but still feeling mild.

This afternoon, not an awful lot to see. Maybe just a bit of

fair-weather cloud. Temperatures could get higher than this inland.

Along the coast, cooler with the offshore breeze. This evening, it

will stay dry, clear skies but a very, very mild and muggy night. A

bit of mist and low cloud along the East Coast. Temperatures overnight,

these are the lows, more representative of daytime highs this

time of year. Feeling humid and heavy showers will have the

potential to be thundery. Take it steady on the roads. Thank you very
