The parents of murdered soldier Lee Rigby are setting up a respite

centre for bereaved families veterans in Staffordshire.

Lyn and Ian set up the Lee Rigby Foundation after their son Lee

was killed in a machete attack in Woolwich, London in 2013.

Work's now started on two properties that have been donated

Here's our Staffordshire reporter Sian Grzeszczyk.

This is one of the properties that's being transformed into a retreat

for beareaved families and veterans, and today was a chance

for the Rigby family to see how work is progressing.

If you are not next of kin you don't get any support.

There is nothing like the retreat place where we could go and

get away from the cameras and the stress and have

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man

The 33-year-old, who was sitting in a stationary car

on Dartmouth Street, died from a gunshot

Police arrested the two local men, aged 19 and 24, a short time later.

Investigations have been continuing today at the scene.

And, in a separate incident, police are investigating after a man

from Walsall was taken to hospital on Christmas Day

The 26-year-old was shot in the stomach in Farmstead Close

in the Palfrey area on Sunday evening.

He remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Detectives are carrying out house to house, CCTV and forensic
