Good evening. big time beckons.

:00:09.:00:10.

Detectives are looking for arsonists who deliberately destroyed

:00:11.:00:12.

a fleet of vans belonging to a North Staffordshire business.

:00:13.:00:15.

Staff are now working overtime to keep the company running.

:00:16.:00:19.

Whoever it was, they came prepared, smashing the windows of three

:00:20.:00:25.

delivery vans belonging to a joinery firm, tipping petrol

:00:26.:00:28.

inside and setting a fire which destroyed them all.

:00:29.:00:32.

For the owner, who set this business up nearly 30 years ago

:00:33.:00:35.

on an industrial estate in Newcastle-Under-Lyme,

:00:36.:00:38.

Obviously a massive shock to everybody.

:00:39.:00:43.

You don't expect to come down at 3am to find all your wagons on fire.

:00:44.:00:53.

Some have given up their Easter holidays to ensure orders

:00:54.:00:57.

go out to customers in replacement vans tomorrow.

:00:58.:01:02.

The vans were parked here at the back of the factory.

:01:03.:01:05.

You can see the mess the heat has made of the tarmac.

:01:06.:01:08.

Flames licked up the side of the building -

:01:09.:01:10.

Eight weeks ago, an attempt was made to break into these vans.

:01:11.:01:16.

There is a concern now that someone has got a vendetta.

:01:17.:01:20.

It's either a personal thing, which I can't believe,

:01:21.:01:23.

Or it's targeted against the company itself.

:01:24.:01:32.

You're talking about people's jobs, mortgages, everything

:01:33.:01:36.

It's not just a random thing that you can pass over.

:01:37.:01:41.

Police are looking at CCTV footage from neighbouring firms.

:01:42.:01:44.

The company says the malice of this attack won't stop

:01:45.:01:47.

The Birmingham City manager Gianfranco Zola has resigned

:01:48.:01:56.

The 50-year-old Italian won just two of his 24 games in charge.

:01:57.:02:03.

Today they lost 2-0 at home to Burton, leaving Blues 20th

:02:04.:02:06.

in the Championship, just three points above

:02:07.:02:08.

the relegation places with only three games remaining.

:02:09.:02:11.

When predecessor Gary Rowett was sacked in December,

:02:12.:02:14.

A minute's silence was held at a football match today in honour

:02:15.:02:21.

of the Birmingham University student who was stabbed to death

:02:22.:02:23.

20-year-old Hannah Bladon from Burton upon Trent

:02:24.:02:28.

She'd been on an exchange programme at the Hebrew

:02:29.:02:32.

The club held a minute's silence ahead of kick-off

:02:33.:02:36.

in this afternoon's match against Huddersfield Town.

:02:37.:02:40.

Alternative accommodation has been found for all 24 elderly residents

:02:41.:02:44.

of a care home which was damaged by fire on Saturday.

:02:45.:02:50.

17 people were re-homed yesterday after the fire

:02:51.:02:51.

at Standon House in Tamworth, which was caused by

:02:52.:02:53.

a discarded cigarette in an external smoking area.

:02:54.:02:56.

Staffordshire County Council has confirmed places have now also been

:02:57.:03:00.

found for the seven residents who were taken to hospital following

:03:01.:03:02.

the fire and who are likely to be discharged in the coming days.

:03:03.:03:09.

A jeweller has been commissioned to make replicas of the Leek-frith

:03:10.:03:12.

gold, which was found buried in a field in

:03:13.:03:15.

The family, who own the land where the Iron Age artefacts

:03:16.:03:20.

were discovered, have asked a local silversmith to create exact copies.

:03:21.:03:23.

Here's our Staffordshire reporter, Liz Copper.

:03:24.:03:27.

Jacqueline Harold at her workshop in Leek, beginning work on replicas

:03:28.:03:30.

She is recreating jewellery fashioned more than 2500 years ago.

:03:31.:03:38.

The Leekfrith gold was unearthed in a field

:03:39.:03:40.

in the Staffordshire Moorlands, and the landowners have

:03:41.:03:43.

Before starting work, Jacqueline made sketches of the jewellery

:03:44.:03:48.

while it was on display in the Potteries Museum.

:03:49.:03:51.

It has been there buried for all that length of time,

:03:52.:03:56.

and now I'm trying to recreate what was possibly done

:03:57.:03:59.

not too far from where the studio is here in Leek.

:04:00.:04:04.

The original bracelet and three torcs are some of the earliest

:04:05.:04:06.

examples of Iron Age gold found in the UK.

:04:07.:04:10.

From these sketches, you get a real sense

:04:11.:04:12.

It is thought they were originally made somewhere in Europe.

:04:13.:04:17.

Experts believe they would have been worn by wealthy, powerful women,

:04:18.:04:21.

perhaps who had married into the community

:04:22.:04:23.

Jacqueline will be using age-old techniques to make the replica.

:04:24.:04:31.

It's a challenge to get it right, I suppose.

:04:32.:04:33.

And to get the dimensions, because I have not

:04:34.:04:35.

But I suppose the way that it's made isn't dissimilar to how

:04:36.:04:43.

The gold is currently being examined by experts and valued.

:04:44.:04:47.

The replicas made by Jacqueline will themselves be one-off pieces

:04:48.:04:49.

Before we go, congratulations to Birmingham City Ladies,

:04:50.:05:01.

who are through to the final of the Women's FA Cup.

:05:02.:05:04.

They beat Chelsea 4-2 on penalties and take

:05:05.:05:06.

I'll leave you now with the weather from John Hammond.

:05:07.:05:11.

Some showers overnight but they will have cleared away by tomorrow. Back

:05:12.:05:33.

to tonight and some showers, pretty hit and miss. Drifting away south.

:05:34.:05:38.

They will move out of the way by dawn. We expect Frost in some rural

:05:39.:05:45.

spots first thing in morning. A cold start but bright and crisp. A lot of

:05:46.:05:52.

blue sky around tomorrow. Dry with the wind fairly light but again

:05:53.:05:57.

feeling chilly at around 11 or 12 degrees.

:05:58.:06:00.
