Football fans across the country have been paying tribute this


The 72-year-old former Aston Villa, Wolves and England manager died


at his home on Thursday of a suspected heart attack.


Ben Sidwell reports from Molinuex, where both Wolves and Villa fans


have been paying their respects ahead of the derby.


Remembering a man much loved by everyone at both Wolves and Villa.


Just before kick off a few minutes ago, Molineux stood as one


Outside the ground too, fans were united in admiration


and respect for a man who'd managed both clubs.


I think he was a great man. If it had not been for him we would not


have at the academy. It is fitting that the land Wolves are together to


give him a tribute. At it wasn't just


here in Wolverhampton. All across the country today,

of football's nicest men. Former Wolves striker Don Goodman,


like so many, has fond memories of Graham Taylor,


the man who brought him to Molineux from Sunderland


for over ?1 million in 1994. He was a hard man when he needed to


be. But he was a lovely man. And a motivator. He made me in particular


want to run through brick walls for him. Graham Taylor was in charge of


a 20 months and had two spells as a 20 months and had two spells as


manager at Aston Villa. And today's programme tributes to a true


gentleman whose impact on all the clubs he served will never be


forgotten. Flags flew at half mast


above Molineux, as rivalries were put aside and fans


from both clubs paused Wolverhampton Council has warned


residents to beware of rogue traders who dig up driveways


without the homeowner's consent. Tracey Jones from the Finchfield


area of the city says she was approached by the company


but decided against the work. She returned home later


to find her front garden dug up and a bill for ?2,500


in her letter box. This is totally unacceptable. Nobody


should have to come home from work to face this. If people are


experiencing aggressive salesmanship contact our trading standards


immediately. We will pursue rogue traders.


Olympic gold medallist Adam Peaty has unveiled a new charity,


Blood Bike, in memory of a Staffordshire schoolgirl


The Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes supported 10-year-old


Imogen Evans from Uttoxeter who suffered


The charity has used a ?13,000 donation to buy a new motorbike.


On to sport now and in tennis Solihull's Dan Evans lost


Evans led 4-2 in the first-set tie-break, but eventually lost 7-6,


6-2 against Luxembourg's Gilles Muller in the Sydney International.


Football now and in the Premier League, Stoke beat Sunderland 3-1,


while West Brom were thrashed 4-0 at Spurs.


In the Championship, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest drew 0-0,


And they've just kicked off at Molineeus in the game


In League One, Coventry lost 1-0 at Chesterfield.


Port Vale's game was called off due to a frozen pitch.


Shrewsbury beat Bradford 1-0 and Walsall had an excellent 4-1 win


against top of the table Sheffield United.


And in League Two, a 3-0 win for Cheltenham


On to rugby and in the European Champions Cup,


And in the European Challenge Cup, Worcester's game at Brive


kicks off at 8:00pm, while Gloucester's game in Italy


was moved to a different ground as Treviso's pitch was unplayable.


The latest school is 24-0 to Gloucester.


We did have a few wintry showers today. They will start to work their


way in from the west and changes on the way overnight. Temperatures


holding up under the cloud and the rain and into tomorrow it's going to


be a less cold day but a wet day. Temperatures going up to eight or


nine Celsius. It will stay misty and murky.

Getting the detail of this cold snap is proving to be challenging and


will continue to be so over the next 24 hours. Ice around across eastern
