One, we now join the BBC's news teams where | :00:00. | :00:07.
Good evening. Welcome to North West Tonight with Roger Johnson. And | :00:08. | :00:11.
Annabel Tiffin. Our top story. Taking us all for a ride. The | :00:12. | :00:15.
benefits fraudster, who claimed he was too ill to work. Tonight, Steven | :00:16. | :00:19.
Worton is starting a prison sentence. Also tonight. | :00:20. | :00:21.
Plans to build a controversial incinerator in Greater Manchester | :00:22. | :00:24.
are given a final go`ahead, even though the council don't want it. | :00:25. | :00:27.
How a night out at a Manchester Music Hall led one young man to the | :00:28. | :00:37.
trenches of World War One. We are in the kitchen here. How 40s inspired | :00:38. | :00:42.
food can still be today's flavour of the month. | :00:43. | :00:55.
Biomass incinerators, green sustainable energy for some, a | :00:56. | :01:00.
source of dangerous air pollutants for others. For three years, | :01:01. | :01:08.
Trafford Council has been fighting plans for one in its borough. Today, | :01:09. | :01:11.
the council finally lost, the incinerator will be built. The | :01:12. | :01:19.
European Commission began legal receding is against the UK for | :01:20. | :01:22.
excessive air pollution levels. This is what the Barton Renewable | :01:23. | :01:25.
Energy Plant will look like. Peel say it will create green, | :01:26. | :01:28.
sustainable energy. Enough to power 37,000 homes. So how will it do | :01:29. | :01:31.
that? Well, biomass plants run, largely, on recycled wood. Around | :01:32. | :01:34.
70% of it recovered from the construction and demolition | :01:35. | :01:39.
industry. But it's what those plants emit which caused Trafford concerns. | :01:40. | :01:42.
They fear dangerous pollutants, including arsenic, dioxins and | :01:43. | :01:45.
nitrogen dioxide, being pumped into the air. Today, campaigners said | :01:46. | :01:54.
they were dismayed by the decision. These are my fears, fears for the | :01:55. | :01:57.
children. We have schools right on the edge of the motorway, over | :01:58. | :02:02.
polluted in our area. We are an air quality management area so how can | :02:03. | :02:08.
they put... More pollution in the area? How can they do it to | :02:09. | :02:11.
children? I am fighting for those children. The row began back in | :02:12. | :02:14.
2012, when Trafford Council unanimously blocked the plans. That | :02:15. | :02:18.
led to a public enquiry. Since then, the Environment Agency has said the | :02:19. | :02:22.
plant would be safe and should go ahead. The Planning Inspectorate | :02:23. | :02:25.
agreed. That didn't satisfy the council. It appealed. But, this | :02:26. | :02:30.
morning, a High Court judge cast the deciding vote. The plant will be | :02:31. | :02:38.
built. This is a plant that we know is going to put pollutants into the | :02:39. | :02:49.
atmosphere. It is something that is contributing to damaging the | :02:50. | :02:51.
environment and we need to make sure that we have tough conditions in | :02:52. | :02:55.
force, and that is something we will work to do very quickly. Peel | :02:56. | :02:58.
weren't available for interview today but said: | :02:59. | :03:07.
Campaigners and Trafford maintain this will add to pollution. Just | :03:08. | :03:13.
last week, the EC announced legal action against the UK for excessive | :03:14. | :03:16.
air pollution levels at a number of areas. One of those areas was | :03:17. | :03:24.
Greater Manchester. Thank you very much. | :03:25. | :03:27.
A builder from Liverpool has been sent to prison after falsely | :03:28. | :03:32.
claiming nearly ?90,000 in benefits. Stephen Worton told the authorities | :03:33. | :03:37.
he was so ill he could barely walk. At the same time, he was running a | :03:38. | :03:41.
roofing business and enjoying lavish holidays. Worton was caught on | :03:42. | :03:45.
camera riding an elephant in Goa and a camel in Egypt. A judge described | :03:46. | :03:50.
his nerve as breathtaking. From Liverpool Crown Court, Stuart | :03:51. | :03:54.
Flinders reports. This is a man who said he was | :03:55. | :03:58.
suffering from cancer and unable to work. He was fit enough to clamber | :03:59. | :04:02.
aboard an elephant in Goa. And to cope with a camel in Egypt. The | :04:03. | :04:06.
holidays were paid for by the taxpayer. He was claiming he could | :04:07. | :04:15.
barely walk. Clearly, that was alive. He perpetrated that light | :04:16. | :04:17.
over ten years. While claiming benefits, Warton was running two | :04:18. | :04:21.
businesses as a roofer. In one year making ?60,000 in profits while | :04:22. | :04:24.
claiming income support. Now he says he really is ill. He arrived at | :04:25. | :04:28.
court on crutches. His lawyer told the court he had a heart condition | :04:29. | :04:33.
and his health was deteriorating. Worton has admitted 16 offences He | :04:34. | :04:37.
claimed housing and council tax benefits, saying he was a tenant at | :04:38. | :04:41.
this house in Whiston. In fact, he owned the property and didn't even | :04:42. | :04:45.
live here. In all, Worton falsely claimed more than ?41,000 in housing | :04:46. | :04:50.
benefit. More than ?4,000 in council tax benefit. And more than ?40, 00 | :04:51. | :04:55.
in income support. Grand total: ?85,768.99. His lawyer told the | :04:56. | :05:03.
court even he was shocked when he was shown the final figure. Worton, | :05:04. | :05:06.
whose wife, Suzanne Martin, has recently been convicted of benefit | :05:07. | :05:10.
fraud, had nothing to say as he arrived to be sentenced. Do you feel | :05:11. | :05:17.
any sense of shame at taking this money from the taxpayers of this | :05:18. | :05:21.
city and other cities? Why did you do it? He was given an 18 month | :05:22. | :05:29.
prison sentence. The judge described it as a devious, cynical and brazen | :05:30. | :05:36.
deception. He told Steven Worton, you are able to enjoy a lifestyle | :05:37. | :05:40.
out of reach for most law`abiding members of the public. Members of | :05:41. | :05:46.
society will be appalled by your behaviour. Your nerve was | :05:47. | :05:49.
breathtaking. The house, the caravan near Blackpool, the motor cruiser | :05:50. | :05:52.
moored on Windermere, have all gone. Worton took nearly ?90,000 from the | :05:53. | :05:58.
taxpayer. And the taxpayer is unlikely to get it back. | :05:59. | :06:09.
Police have arrested a convicted murderer who's been on the run since | :06:10. | :06:12.
Friday, after disappearing whilst on day release in Rochdale. Paul | :06:13. | :06:15.
Maxwell was found in Salford earlier today. Last week, he escaped from | :06:16. | :06:18.
prison staff who'd been accompanying him. Another man has also been | :06:19. | :06:21.
arrested on suspicion of assisting an escapee. | :06:22. | :06:23.
Lancashire's Police and Crime Commissioner has insisted that | :06:24. | :06:26.
there's no case to answer, despite the police watchdog announcing it's | :06:27. | :06:28.
to reinvestigate his expenses claims. Clive Grunshaw was told in | :06:29. | :06:34.
January that he would face no charges over allegations of | :06:35. | :06:37.
dishonesty. But the Independent Police Complaints Commission says | :06:38. | :06:41.
it's looking again at the case. Forgery charges against the Isle of | :06:42. | :06:44.
Man's Attorney General have been dropped. 52`year`old Stephen Harding | :06:45. | :06:48.
was facing charges of perjury and acts against public justice. He was | :06:49. | :06:52.
suspended as the Manx government's main legal adviser in 2012. Mr | :06:53. | :06:56.
Harding, who's always denied the accusations, has stood trial twice, | :06:57. | :06:59.
with the jury failing to reach a verdict on both occasions. | :07:00. | :07:06.
The Head of the Crown Prosecution Service in the north`west has | :07:07. | :07:09.
revealed there are more than a dozen cases of alleged historical sexual | :07:10. | :07:12.
abuse being investigated in the region. Nazir Afzal told BBC One's | :07:13. | :07:15.
Inside Out north`west programme that he's deliberately taken on the most | :07:16. | :07:18.
challenging, high profile cases in the country, like the Rochdale | :07:19. | :07:21.
grooming case, in the hope that it will encourage more victims of abuse | :07:22. | :07:29.
to come forward. More people are coming forward now | :07:30. | :07:37.
with the confidence and the courage to talk about their experiences | :07:38. | :07:40.
talk about what happened to them. And, so, we are seeing more cases, | :07:41. | :07:45.
the police are seeing more referrals to them, we are seeing more | :07:46. | :07:50.
referrals, we are taking more cases to court, and that is as it should | :07:51. | :07:52.
be. And you can see a full profile of | :07:53. | :07:55.
Nazir Afzal on tonight's Inside Out north`west 7:30 on BBC One. Fracking | :07:56. | :08:06.
for shale gas, this divides opinion. . Some say it could be the answer to | :08:07. | :08:12.
the impending fuel crisis, others, that it's a short`sighted fix which | :08:13. | :08:15.
could lead to environmental disaster. But the controversy's not | :08:16. | :08:18.
just here. In Europe, France, Germany, the Netherlands and | :08:19. | :08:20.
Bulgaria have either banned or put the industry on hold while countries | :08:21. | :08:24.
such as Poland, Romania and Ukraine are pushing ahead. Radio | :08:25. | :08:26.
Manchester's Mat Trewern has been to one part of Spain that has banned | :08:27. | :08:32.
fracking because of public fears. The opposition to fracking in the | :08:33. | :08:36.
villages of Cantabria is open and defiant. This area is known as Green | :08:37. | :08:41.
Spain, and you can see why. It is a beautiful part of the country, | :08:42. | :08:44.
dearly loved by those who live and work here. TRANSLATION: ?? TRANSMIT | :08:45. | :08:52.
If that gas has been under the ground for the last 20 or 30 million | :08:53. | :08:58.
years... Can't we wait another 0 or 30 years to ensure that there will | :08:59. | :09:02.
be no dangers whatsoever extracting that gas? Because if we do that now, | :09:03. | :09:08.
the damage to this part of the world will be irreversible. Thousands of | :09:09. | :09:16.
people have taken to the streets, worried about the potential impact | :09:17. | :09:20.
on health and the environment. The Spanish government says fracking | :09:21. | :09:26.
will bring energy security and jobs. Promises that campaigners reject. | :09:27. | :09:31.
This industry taints completely the surface of the place they work and | :09:32. | :09:36.
also the underground. Almost everybody who lives in Cantabria is | :09:37. | :09:43.
against fracking. Despite strong opposition in the city, and here in | :09:44. | :09:46.
the villages, the Spanish government has changed the law to allow test | :09:47. | :09:50.
drilling to start in areas like this. But with tensions running | :09:51. | :09:56.
high, gas companies know they have to tread carefully. When you have | :09:57. | :10:01.
something new, you create fear. For this reason, we need to explain to | :10:02. | :10:05.
educate the people, to show that, for us, for Spain, it is an | :10:06. | :10:10.
opportunity. And we can do that actually, with the best practice in | :10:11. | :10:15.
the industry. It's unclear how effective Canterbury's fracking ban | :10:16. | :10:26.
will be. `` Cantabria. The national government has launched a legal | :10:27. | :10:29.
challenge. The gas companies are ready to start drilling. The | :10:30. | :10:32.
protesters say they will fight on. An uncertain road lies ahead. | :10:33. | :10:38.
Mat Trewern's with us now because, as we said earlier, this is a hugely | :10:39. | :10:42.
important subject, but one you might still have a few questions over | :10:43. | :10:51.
Local radio this week is looking at it. Tell us what you will be doing. | :10:52. | :10:57.
We will be taking it back to basics, looking at the process, what it | :10:58. | :11:02.
involves. We will also look at the benefits, or potential benefits of | :11:03. | :11:07.
extracting shale gas. We'll also look at the claims that fracking | :11:08. | :11:10.
could damage environment. And our health as well. We'll also consider | :11:11. | :11:15.
what the future of the industry may be here in the north`west and then | :11:16. | :11:19.
on Friday, you'll be able to hear Fracking: The Big Debate with a | :11:20. | :11:21.
panel of guests, including representatives from the industry | :11:22. | :11:26.
and those opposed to it. And, of course, Annabel, you'll know all | :11:27. | :11:29.
about that because you're hosting it. I will, it should be live. `` | :11:30. | :11:40.
lively. You might need to be peacemaker. | :11:41. | :11:42.
Still to come on North West Tonight. We meet the Blackpool boxer | :11:43. | :11:50.
preparing for the fight of his life. Cooking on a budget, how wartime | :11:51. | :11:54.
recipes like these are inspiring the online generation to eat healthily. | :11:55. | :12:00.
The first weeks of World War One saw tens of thousands of young men | :12:01. | :12:04.
joining up as the country was swept by a patriotic fever. Tonight, in | :12:05. | :12:08.
the first of a week`long series looking at the impact of the war on | :12:09. | :12:12.
life here at home, we're going to tell you the story of the moment one | :12:13. | :12:16.
of those young men decided to volunteer. And it was all down to a | :12:17. | :12:23.
music hall star and a song. "We don't want to lose you but we think | :12:24. | :12:32.
you ought to go." Another busy night here at the | :12:33. | :12:35.
Palace Theatre in Manchester City centre. People going in to catch the | :12:36. | :12:40.
show that's just about to start 100 years ago in September 1914, a | :12:41. | :12:43.
young, newlywed couple, came through these very doors for a big night | :12:44. | :12:49.
out. But it turned out to be a bigger night than either of them | :12:50. | :12:51.
could ever have imagined. That night, Percy and Kitty Morter | :12:52. | :12:58.
joined the excited crowd at the Manchester Palace, the city was in a | :12:59. | :13:04.
patriotic ferment. In France, the war was going badly. The country | :13:05. | :13:08.
needed troops. And the music hall was only too happy to do its bit. | :13:09. | :13:15.
I know the Army is perfect, it can't be beat. | :13:16. | :13:20.
I know it's true. Because I do. Top of the bill here that night was | :13:21. | :13:23.
one of music hall's biggest stars, the legendary male impersonator | :13:24. | :13:27.
Vesta Tilley. That night, Vesta became a recruiting sergeant. | :13:28. | :13:33.
Girls, I want to advise you, won't you please attend... | :13:34. | :13:38.
She came out in the audience, walked all down, either sides. The men were | :13:39. | :13:43.
following her. She also had a big union Jack wrapped around her. And | :13:44. | :13:46.
she introduced that song, We Don't Want To Lose You But We Think You | :13:47. | :13:48.
Ought To Go. And we were sat at the front, and | :13:49. | :13:58.
she walked down, and she hesitated a bit, and she put a hand on my | :13:59. | :14:02.
husband's shoulder. And all the place was full of it, her voice | :14:03. | :14:06.
following her down. I didn't want him to go to be a soldier. Because I | :14:07. | :14:11.
didn't want to lose him. Before television, before radio, the music | :14:12. | :14:14.
hall would have been the perfect place for recruitment. Music hall is | :14:15. | :14:19.
the greatest educator, greater than the churches, the schools, political | :14:20. | :14:24.
parties or anything else. And music hall educated people emotionally, | :14:25. | :14:27.
and it brought out those kinds of responses, the kind of responses | :14:28. | :14:30.
that would be needed for somebody to go to war. In that first week of | :14:31. | :14:36.
September, something like 1,400`1,500 men were enlisting every | :14:37. | :14:43.
day. Percy joined the Royal North Lancashire Regiment and was shipped | :14:44. | :14:47.
out to Flanders. He last saw Kitty when he came home on leave in 1 16. | :14:48. | :14:54.
Weeks later, he was dead. His body was never found. Lost amongst the | :14:55. | :15:00.
blood and mud of the Somme. Back home, Kitty discovered she was | :15:01. | :15:09.
pregnant. Kitty described her young husband as blonde and beautiful | :15:10. | :15:12.
but, sadly, no picture of him exists. Have a look at this | :15:13. | :15:15.
photograph. It shows his regiment on the Somme in 1916, just days before | :15:16. | :15:19.
he went into battle. It is strange to think that one of these smiling | :15:20. | :15:24.
faces might just be Percy's. I used to pass the time away, trying to | :15:25. | :15:28.
make little baby clothes for my baby. And I felt I didn't want to | :15:29. | :15:33.
live. I'd no wish to live at all. Because the world had come to an end | :15:34. | :15:42.
for me. Because I'd lost all that I loved. It is amazing to hear | :15:43. | :15:49.
first`hand somebody speaking. There is nobody left from that time. And | :15:50. | :15:54.
it is part and parcel of the World War I commemoration, to make sure | :15:55. | :15:56.
those stories live on. BBC Radio Manchester has traced | :15:57. | :15:59.
Kitty's grandson and great grandson and played Kitty's interview to | :16:00. | :16:05.
them. You can hear their reaction by going to Radio Manchester's Facebook | :16:06. | :16:10.
page. It is worth going to have a listen. And all this week you can | :16:11. | :16:14.
hear more stories about how this region was affected by World War One | :16:15. | :16:18.
on your BBC local radio stations and by logging onto bbc.co.uk/ww1. We | :16:19. | :16:26.
will have another report, one of your other reports, tomorrow. | :16:27. | :16:31.
Richard is here with sport now and after another high scoring win for | :16:32. | :16:34.
Liverpool. A busy weekend in the Premier League. They are now really | :16:35. | :16:40.
starting to be talked about as title contenders, aren't they? | :16:41. | :16:47.
Yes, they've now overtaken Manchester City as the Premier | :16:48. | :16:51.
League's top scorers. It's 70 goals in all after their 4`3 victory | :16:52. | :16:58.
against Swansea yesterday. As you implied, they are letting in a lot | :16:59. | :17:03.
of goals as well, which is the main question against their title | :17:04. | :17:05.
challenge. But their attacking power is clear and Daniel Sturridge is now | :17:06. | :17:09.
closing in on Ruud van Nistelrooy's record of scoring in ten Premier | :17:10. | :17:13.
League games in a row for Manchester United. Sturridge has done that in | :17:14. | :17:16.
his last eight League matches, including two yesterday. Jordan | :17:17. | :17:18.
Henderson also netted twice for the Reds, who are now just four points | :17:19. | :17:21.
off the top. City, who have a game in hand, are a | :17:22. | :17:26.
place and a point better off after a 1`0 win against Stoke. United are | :17:27. | :17:30.
into the top six after a 2`0 win at Crystal Palace.. In the | :17:31. | :17:32.
Championship, Burnley took Nottingham Forest to the cleaners | :17:33. | :17:35.
with a 3`1 victory at Turf Moor Sam Vokes scored twice for the Clarets | :17:36. | :17:38.
who stay in that second automatic promotion spot. Wigan and Blackburn | :17:39. | :17:42.
both won to keep in touch with the play`off spots. The Latics 2`1 at | :17:43. | :17:45.
Brighton, Rovers thanks to an excellent 1`0 result at Reading | :17:46. | :17:51.
Craig Conway the scorer. And at the other end of the table there was a | :17:52. | :17:55.
crucial first win in nine for Bolton. 2`0 at home to Watford. | :17:56. | :18:01.
Boxing now and we're still waiting for official confirmation but it | :18:02. | :18:04.
very much looks as though Amir Khan's dream fight against Floyd | :18:05. | :18:08.
Mayweather isn't going to happen. The Bolton fighter has said he's | :18:09. | :18:11.
sure the fight's not happening. Well, Amir's plans are on hold, but | :18:12. | :18:14.
Blackpool's Brian Rose is preparing for a contest that could change his | :18:15. | :18:19.
life forever. The light middleweight will take on Demetrius Andrade for a | :18:20. | :18:27.
world title in America in May. I went to see him at his gym just | :18:28. | :18:29.
outside Manchester. Brian Rose is a fighter who has done | :18:30. | :18:42.
his time, an outstanding amateur, he believes this is his time to become | :18:43. | :18:47.
a professional world champion. I've done everything I can, I deserve | :18:48. | :18:51.
that world title, so there is no way I am just making up the numbers I | :18:52. | :18:55.
am coming back with a world title. The man who has honed his skills as | :18:56. | :19:00.
a well`known face in boxing. He was once part of Ricky Hatton's team. He | :19:01. | :19:04.
is based on Ricky Hatton's former gym. He is in no doubt he will | :19:05. | :19:12.
follow in the great man's footsteps. Every fighter has a certain point | :19:13. | :19:17.
when it is his time. I know that in my heart this is Debra`mac's time. | :19:18. | :19:22.
The relationship between boxers and trainers is often close. In Bobby | :19:23. | :19:27.
and Brian's case, it feels like father and son. Me and Brian have a | :19:28. | :19:30.
different relationship. He's been with me for six or seven years. | :19:31. | :19:36.
We've done everything together. We are more than just boxers and | :19:37. | :19:41.
trainers. We don't live normal lives. There are things we have had | :19:42. | :19:45.
to sacrifice to get to the top but it is going to be worth it and I | :19:46. | :19:51.
will give up a bonus. Darcy expect that? Always! Brian is laid`back and | :19:52. | :20:00.
personable outside the ring. He s not one to bad`mouth his opponents. | :20:01. | :20:05.
I am a laid`back guy, but in the ring, I get down to business, and I | :20:06. | :20:11.
always win. His record of one defeat in 27 fights suggests he has every | :20:12. | :20:16.
chance of doing it again. He is a very pleasant fella. | :20:17. | :20:19.
I was hoping we'd be talking about Wigan Warriors being the World Club | :20:20. | :20:23.
Champions today but it didn't work out, unfortunately. Head coach Shaun | :20:24. | :20:26.
Wane said his team only got going for a quarter of an hour in their | :20:27. | :20:29.
36`14 defeat to Sydney Roosters Well, it's back to Super League | :20:30. | :20:33.
action now for Wigan. And, in their absence, there was a good victory | :20:34. | :20:36.
for Salford Red Devils at the weekend. The Red Devils ran in no | :20:37. | :20:40.
fewer than eight tries in a 44` 8 victory against London. | :20:41. | :20:43.
Mark Cueto scored on his 200th Premiership appearance for Sale | :20:44. | :20:45.
Sharks, who notched up another victory at the weekend. This time at | :20:46. | :20:51.
Worcester. Mark went over for his 85th score. The Sharks won the match | :20:52. | :21:00.
by 24`12. He was going to retire, it is a good | :21:01. | :21:05.
job he didn't. He is the all`time try record score. And Brian Rose, a | :21:06. | :21:12.
really nice chap! I guess he's a little bit intimidating, you had to | :21:13. | :21:16.
say that! They say we can learn a lot from | :21:17. | :21:20.
history. But can the past give us any tips on how to feed a family | :21:21. | :21:24.
frugally? Well, one mum from Cleveleys in Lancashire thinks so. | :21:25. | :21:27.
Rebecca Inman has turned to her grandma's recipe books, which date | :21:28. | :21:31.
back to the days of rationing, for help. And it seems that | :21:32. | :21:33.
'40s`inspired food is proving popular. Peter Marshall is with her | :21:34. | :21:37.
now. So, what is that cooking in the oven | :21:38. | :21:45.
behind you? Welcome to Rebecca's kitchen. She's been making something | :21:46. | :21:49.
spelling rather nice. It is a cottage pie. We will be talking to | :21:50. | :21:53.
Rebecca in a moment. We're here trying to work out if you can eat | :21:54. | :21:58.
cheaply and healthily by looking at lessons from the past. Take a look | :21:59. | :22:04.
at this. It is a thoroughly modern kitchen where food can be a | :22:05. | :22:12.
throwback to the past. Because of the portion control, | :22:13. | :22:15.
because of the type of food they add, everything was cut fresh on the | :22:16. | :22:20.
day and eaten. It is Mac full, good produce. All it involves is corned | :22:21. | :22:25.
beef topped Mac Rebecca Inman delved into her late run more's collection | :22:26. | :22:30.
of recipes for inspiration when trying to feed her family well on a | :22:31. | :22:37.
budget. You don't have to spend a fortune to eat well. You look at the | :22:38. | :22:42.
quantities, and it is so much less than now. It is about portion | :22:43. | :22:48.
control. I think people do have too much on their plates. Marjorie | :22:49. | :22:52.
Frohman was a teenager in the Second World War and she died in 1999 but | :22:53. | :22:57.
she left behind a treasure trove of culinary tips. Rebecca has updated | :22:58. | :23:01.
them and put her grandma's Legacy online. Seeing all of this, it is | :23:02. | :23:09.
lovely to know that I have a part of her, she is in my home, and my son | :23:10. | :23:17.
can share it as well. It's lovely. The interest her recipes are | :23:18. | :23:21.
receiving means that many are still keen for culinary lessons from the | :23:22. | :23:25.
past. Rebecca, you have been putting a lot of these online, these | :23:26. | :23:30.
recipes, updating them, obviously, but have you been surprised by the | :23:31. | :23:34.
popularity? I cannot believe the amount of positive feedback I've had | :23:35. | :23:38.
from friends, people I don't know, people who want to give their | :23:39. | :23:41.
families nutritious, healthy, economic or food. Many people will | :23:42. | :23:46.
say, it's all right to have a good idea, but do people have the time to | :23:47. | :23:55.
do it? I understand that, but it is just half an hour planning. Plan | :23:56. | :23:59.
your budget, plan what you're going to buy, plan your menu, and then it | :24:00. | :24:04.
is fun! Get your family in the kitchen, get them cooking, it's | :24:05. | :24:08.
great. Kenny believe you can create a meal for four `` can you really | :24:09. | :24:14.
believe you can create a meal for four every night? Absolutely, | :24:15. | :24:19.
vegetarian meals everything. Good luck with the website. From here, | :24:20. | :24:24.
back to the studio. Lots of people on Facebook this afternoon getting | :24:25. | :24:29.
involved on how to cook cheaply on a budget. | :24:30. | :24:33.
Sonia says, don't buy ready meals, and markets are the best thing for | :24:34. | :24:40.
bargains. Bring back cookery lessons in school. | :24:41. | :24:44.
Someone who really likes a good team now. | :24:45. | :24:51.
I was frightened somebody would mention tripe, you'd lose me at | :24:52. | :24:53.
tripe. Good evening, if you are out and | :24:54. | :25:03.
about today, it was springlike. It was very pleasant with temperatures | :25:04. | :25:07.
up at ten or 11. Do not be fooled because there is wet weather on the | :25:08. | :25:11.
way. If you don't get a band of rain, you will get some showers | :25:12. | :25:16.
This is how it looks, that is the rain tonight. A little bit more | :25:17. | :25:20.
coming through tomorrow, Wednesday doesn't look too bad, it looks | :25:21. | :25:24.
quiet, but the next area of low pressure is on that far away. As I | :25:25. | :25:30.
say, more rain and showers this week. With the arrival of this | :25:31. | :25:37.
rain, the temperatures stay up. We are talking about cloud cover, a | :25:38. | :25:40.
narrow band of rain, so it doesn't last long, it whips through just | :25:41. | :25:43.
shortly after midnight, turning up at about 9pm. When it turns up, it | :25:44. | :25:51.
brings some strong winds tonight. As we head towards the morning, it goes | :25:52. | :25:57.
up to the Pennines, then it falls apart, so not a bad start to the day | :25:58. | :26:02.
with temperatures of five or six as our minimum. Tomorrow, a combination | :26:03. | :26:09.
with patchy cloud, sunny spells scattered showers. The morning might | :26:10. | :26:14.
be the best part of the day. In the afternoon, the showers work their | :26:15. | :26:19.
way in, and there are some gusty winds, rattling around, fairly | :26:20. | :26:23.
lively. No torrential downpours but fairly blustery. Slightly cooler | :26:24. | :26:29.
than today with a top temperature of nine or ten. If you don't like | :26:30. | :26:37.
tripe, just listen to Richard's ran. My Gran gives us this thing that she | :26:38. | :26:43.
gives the switches mixed up egg and tomato. | :26:44. | :26:51.
Mock crab. Thank you, that sounds to is | :26:52. | :26:56.
gusting. See you tomorrow. `` that sounds disgusting. | :26:57. | :26:58. |
