Rail passengers on Merseyside are facing travel disruption -

after 200 tonnes of rubble fell onto the tracks near

A track-side wall collapsed last night - and there'll be no

Thankfully, there were no trains travelling on these

Part of a retaining wall in the cutting collapsed.

Above the cutting is privately owned land, where Network Rail say

containers holding tonnes of material have been stacked.

These need to be moved before the area can be made safe.

So we've got to take two or three days to make that safe before we can

even go down onto the tracks to remove the rubble

Virgin Trains passengers to London are being bussed to Runcorn,

where they can pick up the London bound service.

Passengers coming into Liverpool from the East are being advised

to change at Hunts Cross, or Liverpool Parkway South

But undoubtedly there is considerable disruption

Not affected this morning, because we were in Liverpool

But we're trying to get back now to London and not having much luck.

I've spent, I think in the last 24 hours, about six, seven hours

So it's been quite horrific for me, to be honest.

A violent paedophile who hid a girl he was abusing in a hole behind

the fridge in his kitchen has been jailed for 27 years.

Michael Dunn raped and abused four girls in different

The judge described Michael Dunn is a devious, manipulative

and controlling man with a strong urge to dominate.

He persistently raped and was violent to two women

Today, he was jailed for 27 years for those crimes,

and the rape and sexual assault of two other children.

One of the victims was just 14 when Dunn began to groom her at his

He offered her an escape from a sexually abusive home life,

but then he too began to rape and control her.

When the police came looking for her, she would hide in this hole

created by the Dunn at his house, covered by plasterboard and guarded

I would applaud the victims and witnesses, due to

the strength and courage that they have displayed.

And equally, I would like to add that eventually, their voices

were heard and more importantly, they were all believed as well.

At his trial in January, Dunn, now 58, was also found guilty

of the rape of a ten or 11-year-old girl in the late 70s in Manchester.

And the sexual abuse of another 14-year-old girl in 1993.

Now, that abuse was reported to Greater Manchester Police,

but they failed to take any further action.

They are now being investigated by the Independent Police

Passing sentence, the judge said that Dunn posed

The front gates were open, but the playgrounds were empty.

Today, parents of pupils at Bollin primary school were told to send

some of their children back to school tomorrow.

I don't think we can sort of dismissed the last few days

and the last few weeks as never having happened.

There's a lot that we need to take away and look out from that.

And the council will be looking at events that led up to that very

Trafford Council intervened on Monday after the relationship

between the headteacher, Michelle Brindle, and teachers

The council has now applied to the regional schools commissioner

to replace the governing body with an interim executive board.

the chair of governors confirmed an interim head will take over

There are petitions in support of and against the headteacher.

One parent today welcomed the new head, but criticised the timing.

If they had stepped in earlier, when dozens of parent complaints

hadn't been addressed, when the governing board

was basically falling apart, this wouldn't be happening.

On Friday, some teachers were caught celebrating what they felt had been

the headteacher's suspension or sacking that turned

Trafford Council have confirmed a number of teachers

I'm aware of that video, and it's now appropriate

that we investigate the content of it and whether there

are any actions that are necessary as a result of it.

Juliet, what's going to happen next for this school?

The school, which has been closed since Monday, is going to start a

phased reopening. Some pupils will be starting classes as soon as

tomorrow. That's ages seven until 11, key stage two. Then ages

children five until seven, will begin classes on Friday. Early years

children, ages three to five, began on Monday.

What's the parents' reaction been like today?

A mixed reaction as mentioned in the report. Some teachers have been

suspended following the release of the video we have just seen, which

allegedly shows a party happening on the school site. Some parents are

worried that those teachers that are suspended will be replaced by supply

teachers. The teachers have been under a huge

amount of stress over We're really concerned that we're

going to be going back to the school with temporary staff

and our teachers not there, because nobody's informing us yet

again what's happening. It's clear then the problems
