A man was left with serious injuries.

He's now in a stable condition in hospital.

Survivors of child sexual exploitation have launched

a new powerful campaign to tackle what they say is a growing threat.

have started to appear in Manchester.

The group of young women behind the campaign

want to use their own experiences to encourage victims to speak out.

without you even knowing it is happening.

What needs to be changed is the way that people

keep it a secret and talk about it behind closed doors.

to put their names and faces behind a new campaign.

From today, these digital billboards have appeared across Manchester.

We have first-hand experience of the dark side of CSE,

where it can go wrong, where you can be left behind.

I think that we have something very important to say.

Yeah, there's a lack of conversation.

People need to come together and speak about it more,

Reign is one of a number of campaigns run by Reclaim,

a charity that promotes the voices of young, working-class people.

So often when people talk about victims,

they'll immediately be given pity

and people forget that they are resilient,

they are strong, they have come through things,

and that they don't want to be defined by the abuse.

and then they've got on with their lives.

These billboards are just the beginning.

The plan is to take the message into schools

and directly to public bodies through a series of workshops.

and I do think that children are being let down,

and that's why, with Reign, we want to create these workshops

that can educate professionals so that children aren't let down.

These survivors want to put an end to that.

It became one of the best loved movies of the '80s,

and now the cast is being reunited, as Colin Paterson reports.

It was the tiny film from Liverpool which travelled the world.

It told the simple tale of a pair of local girls

spending the night with two Russian sailors,

set against the political backdrop of the time.

30 years for a special screening at Fact in Liverpool tomorrow,
