Police are appealing for witnesses after a toddler and a 12-year-old

girl were seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Blackburn.

A blue Volkswagen Golf is said to have lost control and crashed

into the car the two girls were travelling in.

It happened on Harwood Street on Friday afternoon.

It's believed the occupants of the blue Golf fled

the scene in a white van.

Family and friends of a former Liverpool student who was murdered

in India have issued an international appeal

to help secure justice.

28-year-old Danielle McLaughlin was raped and killed in Goa in March.

A local man has been charged with her murder.

The Truth For Danielle campaign is trying to find

all potential witnesses.

Investigations continue into the death of a 20-year-old

in Manchester city centre last week.

Dylan Crawford was found unconscious on Spear Street on Wednesday.

Two men have been charged with theft and handling a stolen credit card.

Police are still trying to trace a third man,

pictured in these CCTV images, as part of their inquiries.

Everton's footballers are backing a pioneering new campaign to enlist

young men in the fight to remove sexually-explicit images

of children from the internet.

Players like Gareth Barry are spearheading the See It,

Report It project to encourage young men to call a confidential hotline.

Statistically, males aged between 16 to 24 are more likely to stumble

across sexually-explicit images of children than any

other demographic.

Most are repulsed.

But the illegal images will panic two thirds into doing this.

But deleting the browsing history is a waste of incriminating evidence,

according to a new campaign pioneered by Everton.

Stars like Gareth Barry are working with the Internet Watch Foundation

to launch See It, Report It, which aims to remove child porn

hosted anywhere in the world.

More than one in ten will know somebody who has seen

this type of content.

Just because it is closed doesn't mean it has gone.

The IWS is here to help.

A lot of young men will think, "I will shut it down,

delete it," but that is not the right thing.

You need to report it, because every single image or video

is a real child who has really been sexually abused, and every time

somebody looks at that, the child is re-victimised.

From clerical staff to first-team players, Everton is delivering 30

sessions this season to all of its young men on how

to deal with sexually-explicit images of children on the internet.

But it does not end there.

It is using its top stars to get the message out

into the wider community.

How effective is this campaign in tackling such a sensitive issue?

There is a stigma.

It has been difficult to engage young people,

but we know for a fact that so many of the young people,

including our elite players, have got the message.

Everton and the IWF says reports can be made anonymously and will be

treated in total confidence.

Over 100 scooters and several taxicabs rode in convoy

through Liverpool today to pay their respects

to the Hillsborough victims.

The processions stopped at memorial sites in the city to lay wreaths.

The event was set up by Hillsborough survivor Andy Dalglish, in memory

of the 96 who lost their lives.

Laying flowers at Anfield, Goodison Park, the memorial

gardens and Prenton Park.

It is my way of laying flowers to say thank you for the people that

I feel have supported me over the last 28 years.

To see these people come out in support of others, really,

it is very, very humbling.

A cool and grey Easter Sunday today.

The weather watchers have been taking their photos,

and even the blossom could not brighten up the scene.

Plenty of grey cloud and rain.

As we move through this evening and overnight,

most rain will have fizzled out to the south-west.

Variable cloud, but one or two spots of rain, the odd shower.

As we move into Easter Monday, it will be fairly cloudy.

There will be a few outbreaks of rain through the day,

and one or two bright intervals and the odd sunny spell,

particularly the further south and west you go.

A north-westerly breeze.

Cold overnight as we move into Tuesday, so we are looking

at a widespread frost to start the day, then sunny spells

as we move through the afternoon.

It will be largely dry.

It will feel pleasant in any sunshine.

Some cloud to come before then.
