Good evening. Police and protestors clashdd on the

streets of Brighton today. The nationalist "March for Engl`nd"

attracted around 100 people, with hundreds more taking part in a

counter demonstration. As the march dispersed police and demonstrators

were involved in skirmishes, with more than twenty arrests as Mark

Norman reports. The centre of Brighton reselbled a

battle ground today. This is Brighton city centre on a qtiet

Sunday afternoon. Police forces trying to control minor scuffles

breaking out between demonstrators from the march of England and the

counter`demonstrators. CHANTING.

Most of the trouble came as much for England supporters were being

escorted by police out of the city, and rival demonstrators tridd to

make their views known. SHOUTING.

March for England describes itself as an English pressure group. It has

held an event in Brighton to mark St George's Day since 2008. Today's

march began noisily but peacefully. Despite the weather, which hs very

wet, we have around 100 demonstrators here on the M`rch for

England making a lot of noise, and a counter demo of maybe 300 pdople

objecting to their presence here in Brighton.

I just wanted to see first`hand what hate looks like.

Scum. If they just let us have thd march,

if they didn't show up to protest, it wouldn't be a problem.

After two hours of March for England, supporters were escorted

into Brighton station. Police will have regarded today as a success.

body was found in a canal in the Netherlands yesterday say they feel

let down by Dutch police. W`yne Davies went missing in the darly

hours of last Saturday following a night out in the city of Lehden

Ellie Price reports Wayne Davies went missing after a

night out in the Netherlands more than a week ago. Yesterday, his

family had their worst fears confirmed.

We didn't find out from the police themselves. We find out the

information through a Dutch website which posted live video footage of

the body floating through one of the canals. It was probably one of the

worst things I had ever seen in my life. So I called my mum to let her

know. I couldn't speak at all. A keen traveller, the 22`ye`r`old

had been in the Dutch city of Leiden with friends. Dutch police, who had

used divers and sniffer dogs to search for him, say they ard not

treating his death as suspicious and insist they did contact the British

embassy and police in the UK after the body was found. But the family

say they feel let down. You wouldn't think the Englhsh

police would deal with things in the manner that the Dutch have. It's

just shocking. Wayne will always be remembdred as a

storyteller who could always turn a bad situation into a good one.

His family have written a tribute to the 22`year`old using comments

posted on social media by hhs friends. But they say there are

still unanswered questions surrounding his death and are

pushing for further investigation. Ellie Price, BBC South East Today.

Kent's Police and Crime Comlissioner Ann Barnes has dismissed cl`ims

she's wasted money on an office relocation. The move from a base in

Maidstone to police headquarters, where additional refurbishmdnts took

place, cost more than ?180,000. She said it would save ?250,000 over

remain in relegation danger, after losing 3`1 to Blackburn Rovdrs at

The Valley. Marvin Sordell lissed a penalty but pulled a goal b`ck in

the 54th minute. In League One: Gillingham also lost

3`1 at Preston despite going level on the stroke of half`time thanks to

Cody McDonald's strike. And to complete a bad day for our

sides, Crawley also lost, going down 2`1 away at Bradford. Jamie Proctor

had equalised for the Reds. Now for the weather.

Hello there. Well, some of ts some quite heavy showers today. Lany

places avoided them altogether. That's going to be a common trend as

we go through this week. It's all to do with how close you were to the

centre of the low pressure. That's what you can see here, you can see

how the cloud and those associated showers were swirling around the

edge of that. So, as we go through the rest of this evening, they are

tending to ease off and it will become dry overnight. Staying rather

cloudy, but a few breaks me`n we might see some misty patches. Quite

mild again too. Eight or nine Celsius. Come first thing tomorrow

morning, there will be a fahr amount of cloud but it will be bre`king up

through the morning. And as the day heats up, and it will be another

mild one, 15 or 16 Celsius for Maidstone, for example, there will

be some showers that sparked off. Again, not for everyone, but one or

two will be heavy, thundery, and probably quite slow`moving. Large

puddles from those. Still the risk of some showers through the middle

of the day on Tuesday and into Wednesday as well. Then it's turning

colder into Wednesday and Thursday because of a northerly breeze. But

Good evening. After an unsettled weekend, the same culprit will be

staying with us through the early part of the new week. No pressure is

set to continue producing a fair number of showers across England and

Wales. Still some hefty ones to come through this evening, particularly

across the Midlands, South Wales and south-west England. Rain will spread

from the south-west of Scotland into Northern Ireland by dawn. A mild

enough night. Monday, after a gloomy start for many of us, the cloud and

Risley rain across Northern Ireland. A reasonably dry start

across England and Wales but come the afternoon, that low-pressure

centre is still close by and it looks like it will start generating

some pretty hefty thundery
