Good evening. The friends and family of a man murdered near Sittingbourne

last autumn have been holding a special event in his memory. Steve

Langley was killed last year at the fishery he ran in Kent. Today his

widow said it was important to concentrate on something positive.

She spoke to our reporter Mark Sanders. Steve Langley was shot dead

by a former employee. Today friends and family gathered to remember him.

It is important to have this event for my husband. In particular, the

horrific way that has life was taken away. It was important to

concentrate on the positive. Steve Langley was murdered at the fishery

last November. Up to 70 people attended the event today. He built

this place from scratch. To actually recognise the things that people

have done in their lives rather than be sad about their passing I think

is important. To do something people enjoy doing is a positive thing. How

has it been trying to adjust to what happened? We haven't, I certainly

haven't. The reality hasn't set in yet. It'll take a long time. Slowly

with the love and compassion and support from everybody, we will get

through it. The memorial event comes ahead of sentencing due tomorrow for

the man who took his life. A pedestrian's been killed after

apparently being knocked down by a car in Dover in the early hours of

this morning. The man, who was 31 and lived locally, died at the scene

on Townwall Street just after 1am. The woman driver of a BMW has been

questioned by the police, but not arrested. The police are seeking

witnesses. A 32`year`old man's been arrested on

suspicion of arson after a fire at a flat in Strood in Kent. Fire crews

were called to the property in Scholars Rise at 2.30 this morning.

A woman was treated at the scene for the effects of inhaling smoke.

Three men and a teenager have now been arrested after an incident

involving a suspected firearm at a caravan park in Kent. Police were

called to the Snowdown Caravan site near Aylesham in the early hours of

Saturday morning. A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with injuries

that aren't life threatening. A 45`year`old woman who was arrested

earlier over the incident has since been bailed.

The latest crunch match for Brighton and Hove Albion is well underway.

The Seagulls are away at Derby County in the second leg of their

Championship play`off semifinal. Derby go into the game with a 2`1

advantage after the first leg wind at the Amex, and today of course

they have the home advantage. But the fans had mixed feelings ahead of

kick`off. I am not confident. We are likely not to do it but who knows?

It has been a fairly unsettled weekend. A mixture of sunshine and

heavy showers. Overnight tonight in the breeze and will ease a little.

Still the risk of one or two isolated showers but for most of us

it should stay dry. Tomorrow morning the minimum temperature will range

between seven and nine Celsius. In other mixed bag for the next few

days. Tomorrow we will get some sunny intervals and heavy showers.

As we head through the rest of the week, Tuesday will be a similar sort

of day, temperatures around 14 or 15 Celsius. Wednesday high`pressure

starts to build up and we will get some sunshine on the way. The wind

will fall later and the temperature will rise. A little bit more cloud

towards the end of the week but the temperatures will get warmer.
