Services have taken place at War Memorials across the South East

to commemorate 100 years since the outbreak of World War I.

of an excellent weekend for South East athletes was another

great run from Dartford sprinter Usain Bolt ultimately proved too

strong but Adam and the English quartet were delighted

by their silver medals. We gave the baton to the guy

on the fourth leg but the Jamaicans were ahead with Usain Bolt running,

so, yeah, not much you can do, but to come home with

my second medal is really positive. 20`year`old Charlie Grice will

have learned much from his race. And England women's hockey team,

six players from the south`east, were seconds away from one

of the Games big shocks and victory over Australia

before losing in the shoot out. But thoroughly deserved

their silver medals, too. I know that gardners are desperate

for some rain but most others are enjoying the dry

and fine weather and tomorrow we've Warm sunshine, certainly
