The Government has today announced an agreement with France on how to

manage the number of migrants arriving at the port of Cal`is.

The UK will invest almost ?02 million, over three years, hn new

security measures at the port, where an increasing number of migrants

have been gathering in the hope of getting across the Channel to Dover.

The migrant crisis in Calais is a problem that is never far from the

headlines. Yesterday, 24 suspected illegal immigrants were discovered

in the back of a refrigeratdd lorry. There has been a major annotncement

from the Government. We need domestic UK securitx. We

have a shared interest with the French government about sectring

Calais. This is precisely what this plan is about.
