Today's main headlines in the South East:

:00:10.:00:10.

A doubling in the number of people using imposter passports

:00:11.:00:13.

to get illegal migrants into the UK.

:00:14.:00:14.

No place like home - why Bovis have been forced to put

:00:15.:00:18.

aside ?7 million to make good unfinished properties.

:00:19.:00:25.

And it was another cloudy and mild day. Gale force winds by Thursday.

:00:26.:00:40.

People smugglers are increasingly using imposter passports -

:00:41.:00:42.

real documents used fraudulently - to get illegal migrants into the UK.

:00:43.:00:48.

We've spoken exclusively to one criminal who was caught at Dover

:00:49.:00:51.

using a child's passport to get an adult into the country.

:00:52.:00:56.

Europe's border security agency says passport fraud

:00:57.:00:58.

Colin Campbell has this special investigation.

:00:59.:01:07.

He is a criminal who smuggled an adult from Dunkirk in France to

:01:08.:01:16.

Dover using a child's passport. The security breach happened early

:01:17.:01:30.

next, cluster. The passport was shown to both the British and French

:01:31.:01:34.

officials in Dunkirk. Were you surprised how easy it was to pass

:01:35.:01:37.

through the security checks in France?

:01:38.:01:45.

According to Europe's border control agency, document fraud is now a key

:01:46.:01:52.

criminal activity linked to the migration crisis. Within the EU,

:01:53.:01:56.

most people using fraudulent documents were detected on entry to

:01:57.:01:59.

the UK, mainly between France and England. The agency's most recent

:02:00.:02:05.

risk analysis this document fraud is a crime that will continue to

:02:06.:02:08.

represent a substantial threat to the security of the EU in 2017. The

:02:09.:02:15.

organisation which manages EU borders is particularly concerned

:02:16.:02:19.

about the fraudulent use of real passports. We are observing

:02:20.:02:24.

impostors, so the passport itself is a legitimate passport but a person,

:02:25.:02:31.

an impostor, is using it. Border officers have a really tough

:02:32.:02:36.

job. That is why we need to use the latest technology to help them,

:02:37.:02:40.

facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, biometrics like that

:02:41.:02:43.

can help keep our borders safe and secure.

:02:44.:02:47.

The home Office of the border force officers are killed, rigorously

:02:48.:02:50.

trained to prevent the use of fraudulent documents. They say they

:02:51.:02:54.

continue to invest in new technology to crack down on the crime.

:02:55.:02:56.

The family of a man from Sussex who was reported "missing presumed

:02:57.:02:59.

dead" while on holiday in Thailand say they are devastated

:03:00.:03:02.

after the authorities there revealed that a body has now been discovered.

:03:03.:03:04.

was last known to be on the popular tourist island of Koh Samui.

:03:05.:03:09.

The 38-year-old, who has a young daughter, told family

:03:10.:03:11.

he was going to a full moon party on a nearby island last Sunday -

:03:12.:03:15.

The train drivers union Aslef has been holding fresh talks

:03:16.:03:22.

with Southern Rail today in a bid to resolve the ongoing dispute over

:03:23.:03:25.

It comes as commuters prepare for another day of industrial action

:03:26.:03:33.

tomorrow by the RMT union, which represents guards,

:03:34.:03:36.

as they walk out for 24 hours from midnight.

:03:37.:03:40.

We're joined now from East Grinstead by our reporter Chrissie Reidy.

:03:41.:03:43.

Chrissie, commuters must be getting used to preparing for strike action?

:03:44.:03:46.

-- you could say that. Tomorrow, the RMT is staging the 29th strike days

:03:47.:04:04.

since this hole dispute began. Speaking to commuters here at East

:04:05.:04:07.

Grinstead this evening, ten or so months into this argument they told

:04:08.:04:11.

me they are tired, they are just weary.

:04:12.:04:15.

If there is a transport strike had to take the taxi to the two take the

:04:16.:04:20.

train from there. Really, is annoying. It has been really

:04:21.:04:26.

horrible. We had to drive into London 23 times maybe. People

:04:27.:04:31.

getting up to work and stuff in the morning, it has got to be right

:04:32.:04:32.

aggravation. So, the strike tomorrow comes after

:04:33.:04:42.

talks today between Aslef and Cupboard. Aslef remaining very

:04:43.:04:46.

tight-lipped as to how to day went. As regards tomorrow, Sutherland said

:04:47.:04:50.

to borrow is pointless but they will help to run 75% of their services.

:04:51.:04:55.

For commuters, it means further disruption. -- Sutherland.

:04:56.:05:03.

Tomorrow morning, BBC Sussex will be live on the picket line that RMT and

:05:04.:05:06.

speaking to commuters trying to make their way into work.

:05:07.:05:07.

One of Britain's biggest house-builders, Bovis Homes,

:05:08.:05:09.

who're based in Kent - have been forced to set aside

:05:10.:05:11.

?7 million for compensation to customers whose

:05:12.:05:13.

properties were substandard or unfinished.

:05:14.:05:14.

It follows a scheme to offer financial inducements to some

:05:15.:05:17.

to move into homes that weren't ready, just to hit sales targets.

:05:18.:05:20.

unsealed windows, wobbly banisters, wonky woodwork and missing tiles.

:05:38.:05:41.

Danny is one of many frustrated homeowners to join the storm of

:05:42.:05:45.

complaints against the company. He moved into his new house in June

:05:46.:05:49.

2015, but it says much of the building work had not been finished

:05:50.:05:54.

properly. My wife gave up her job because she could not stand the

:05:55.:05:57.

stress of working everyday and then trying to deal with the company,

:05:58.:06:01.

trying to call them up to fix the things that should have been done

:06:02.:06:05.

before we moved on. More than 1600 people have joined a Facebook group

:06:06.:06:08.

complaining about similar issues. Now the company has admitted its

:06:09.:06:12.

customer service standards have fallen significantly. The quality

:06:13.:06:17.

control checks are not in place within the building organisations to

:06:18.:06:20.

check for this kind of thing. It is a case of get the money in and deal

:06:21.:06:24.

with the problems later and it does not work and that has really come

:06:25.:06:28.

back to bite them. The company build nearly 4000 new homes last year. But

:06:29.:06:32.

after mounting complaints, they have had to set aside ?7 million to pay

:06:33.:06:36.

for repairs and compensation for customers. The company now says it

:06:37.:06:42.

will aim to build ten to 15% fewer homes this year and improve its

:06:43.:06:45.

quality assurance process. They have let everybody down that has been

:06:46.:06:48.

involved with this. Everybody on this housing estate that bought a

:06:49.:06:52.

bogus house has got a story to tell about how badly they have been

:06:53.:06:59.

treated by the company. -- bought a Bovis house. 'S this has all come

:07:00.:07:01.

years too late for Danny. They made this announcement is part

:07:02.:07:09.

of a warning that their overall profits fell last year. A ?57

:07:10.:07:13.

million fund is needed to cover the potential costs of repairing what

:07:14.:07:17.

they are describing as a small number of homes. -- VCD ?7 million

:07:18.:07:22.

fund. They are in touch with customers who have got in touch with

:07:23.:07:25.

them with specific issues. Industry experts say they do not think Bovis

:07:26.:07:30.

are the only big house-builders to be suffering such major customer

:07:31.:07:32.

service problems and they are expecting other companies to make

:07:33.:07:35.

similar announcement in future. Thank you.

:07:36.:07:36.

who lost more than ?7,000 in charity cash stolen by

:07:37.:07:40.

says she's absolutely gutted and feeling wretched.

:07:41.:07:46.

Reverend Lynda Hulcoop had picked up the money in US Dollars

:07:47.:07:48.

from a bureau de change at a supermarket in Hove

:07:49.:07:51.

The money was meant to help struggling families in Zimbabwe.

:07:52.:07:56.

This is Reverend Linda in the appeal court leaving Sainsbury's, and this

:07:57.:08:09.

is the moment the cash she is carrying is taken. A woman gets her

:08:10.:08:13.

hands into the carrier bag and steal thousands of pounds worth of

:08:14.:08:17.

dollars. These are some of the people the money was destined for,

:08:18.:08:21.

children in a poverty stricken township in Zimbabwe. It was being

:08:22.:08:25.

taken in cash as the banking system there is in crisis. The reverend was

:08:26.:08:30.

due to leave for the country just a couple of days later. I felt

:08:31.:08:36.

absolutely gutted. All sorts of the motion go through, I think the most

:08:37.:08:39.

difficult one was because it was not my personal money, it was charitable

:08:40.:08:44.

money and that a large sum of money, and I thought goodness, you know,

:08:45.:08:48.

this is terrible. I am going into days, so you have got all the trauma

:08:49.:08:53.

of what do I do? Do I go? Do I not? What can I do? On the police! I feel

:08:54.:08:58.

wretched inside. The money was raised by volunteers here at the

:08:59.:09:03.

church, it was donated from around the country. I think everybody was

:09:04.:09:07.

very shocked. The whole church was shot. Mine main thought is why did

:09:08.:09:13.

they need it? What is their lifestyle? It is for children abroad

:09:14.:09:19.

in Zimbabwe, and for that to happen it is very callous, I think. The

:09:20.:09:24.

charity has had to borrow the money to take to Zimbabwe. It goes towards

:09:25.:09:29.

supporting schools, medical services and even growing crops for some of

:09:30.:09:33.

the poorest communities. Police want to find two women captured on CCTV

:09:34.:09:38.

following the reverend after she collected the cash. They are asking

:09:39.:09:43.

anybody who recognises them to come forward. There has been some good

:09:44.:09:47.

news in this case. Already, the donations are coming in to repay the

:09:48.:09:49.

money. Let's have a look at the weather.

:09:50.:10:02.

Yes, a far cry from the highs of a team we saw on Monday. Strong Doris

:10:03.:10:05.

as the head through the day on Thursday. Earlier today, a good deal

:10:06.:10:11.

of cloud cover and, again, very mild. Temperatures reaching highs of

:10:12.:10:15.

15 degrees. It stays mild tour tonight. Again, going to be cloudy

:10:16.:10:18.

and at times I will be patchy drizzle. The winds are going to be

:10:19.:10:22.

picking up from a westerly direction and again, very mild. Overnight lows

:10:23.:10:28.

of nine or 10 degrees. Mild as they start their day. It is going to be

:10:29.:10:31.

breezy. We have got a weakening weather front around Seoul during

:10:32.:10:36.

the afternoon tomorrow particularly, some rain around and mild for a time

:10:37.:10:42.

of year. Highs of around 1112 degrees. Waiting in the wings for

:10:43.:10:46.

Wednesday ended her estate is strong Doris. We have not got warnings

:10:47.:10:50.

about four hours at the moment. Potentially gusts of up to 50 mph.

:10:51.:10:55.

Again it, it is going to be relatively mild and to Thursday.

:10:56.:10:59.

Very wet and windy for Thursday at self. Here is the outlook for us and

:11:00.:11:01.

the national for guest. the day, particularly up towards the

:11:02.:11:05.

evening rush hour. It calms down on the Outlook toward the end of the

:11:06.:11:08.

week and then milder again from the wheel them. More on storm Doris now

:11:09.:11:09.

with Matt Taylor.
