Good evening. I'm Laura Trant with the news in the south. Football And

disappointment for the 12,000 Gosport Borough fans who watched

their team lose 4`0 in the FA Trophy Final today. Our sports editor Tony

Husband is live for us at Wdmbley Stadium. In this FA trophy run, cost

Thousands of fans travelled up this morning and were hoping to the

A two`year`old girl has suffered serious injuries following ` road

traffic collision in Aldershot. A blue Peugeot collided with the

toddler on Belle Vue Road at around 10:20am this morning. She w`s taken

by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital. The driver of the

car was not injured and there have been no arrests. Police would like

to hear from any witnesses. People in a Berkshire village that's

suffered serious flooding are calling for urgent action to sort

out ongoing problems with their sewers. Residents in Great Shefford

near Hungerford say they're not happy with the way Thames W`ter has

responded to their pleas for help. Steve Humphrey has been to the

village today. Water levels here have started to fall, but they are

still dealing with the effects of the heavy rainfall in January and

February. These plans are still being used to manage the big flows

of water of the hillsides. @nd there is a significant problem in this

village with the super`rich. It has been a miserable time for this

couple whose cottage was badly flooded just as they were about to

sell it. We had it backing tp right the way through our garden `nd into

the house with every imagin`ble thing in it. Other people still have

floodwater is no gardens. Btt they have begun the long job of drawing

up their homes. They want mdasures put in place to stop it happening

again. We are hoping we may get some of the money that has been `llocated

recently and obviously therd was some money before that. We want to

see some coming in our direction. With portable toilets still very

much in evidence, the parish council says it is time that Thames Water

sorted things out. We think that our sewerage system is overwhelled.

Please come and help us. In a statement, Thames Water says it is

sorry people are still experiencing problems. The company says ht is

working around the clock to monitor the situation and help return

services to normal as soon `s possible.

And staying with the winter floods, the south's road network will

benefit from a multi`million pound cash boost after more government

funding was released for urgent repairs. Dorset's roads havd been

given ?5.8 million. But with the final repair bill likely to top ?12

million, the council says it will still need much more help. West

Sussex roads will also benefit. And to return to football, hn the

Premier League, Southampton threw away a two`goal lead as thex lost to

Spurs. Goals from Jay Rodriguez and Adam Lallana gave Saints a

comfortable lead, but Spurs fought back. Gylfi Sigurdsson got the
