Hello. Good evening. I'm Dani Sinha. One it's time for

:00:00.:00:11.

Hello. Good evening. I'm Dani Sinha. As you may have just seen on the

:00:12.:00:14.

national news, a Southampton based yacht has gone missing in the North

:00:15.:00:18.

Atlantic. Two of its crew were from our region. James Ingham has been

:00:19.:00:22.

following the story. James what do we know so far? Well the Cheeki

:00:23.:00:27.

Rafiki is a 40ft racing yacht that a four man crew was bringing back from

:00:28.:00:33.

the Caribbean to Southampton. After reporting on Thursday that they were

:00:34.:00:36.

taking on water, radio contact was then lost on Friday. An air and sea

:00:37.:00:41.

search was immediately launched by the US Coastguard. With three

:00:42.:00:45.

aircraft and three merchant vessels deployed to the area that's 1000

:00:46.:00:51.

miles east of Cape Cod. An upturned hull was spotted but there was no

:00:52.:00:54.

obvious sign of the men or a life raft. But a Royal Yachting

:00:55.:00:58.

Association instructor who's in close contact with the company that

:00:59.:01:02.

owns the boat, told me there's still a chance that the men may be found.

:01:03.:01:08.

There is still hope. They could well have an opportunity to deploy a

:01:09.:01:12.

liferaft. The evidence of the search and rescue situation was there was a

:01:13.:01:15.

locator beacon activated which lasted for four or five hours. When

:01:16.:01:19.

that ran out, there was a second activated. So there were at least

:01:20.:01:21.

two people together activating these things. There is always hope.

:01:22.:01:25.

Although they have found this vessel which is most likely the relevant

:01:26.:01:29.

vessel they have not been able to get a craft down to look at it so

:01:30.:01:33.

there are still a lots of unanswered questions. But it's not clear how

:01:34.:01:38.

this will be resolved as after covering more than 4000 miles, the

:01:39.:01:41.

search was called off early this morning, which the families of the

:01:42.:01:45.

men say is devastating. Relatives and friends say they gave up too

:01:46.:01:49.

early. Do we know more about the crew? Yes, it was made up of four

:01:50.:01:54.

men. 23`year`old James Male from Southampton and 21`year`old Andrew

:01:55.:01:56.

Bridge from Farnham in Surrey were voluntarily crewing the boat. Two

:01:57.:02:04.

other men are from Somerset. They were all described as very

:02:05.:02:16.

experienced offshore yachtsmen. Losing a baby is one of the hardest

:02:17.:02:19.

things for parents to cope with. This weekend has seen a special

:02:20.:02:22.

service take place at Winchester Cathedral for anyone who's lost a

:02:23.:02:25.

baby, The Saying Goodbye Services were the idea of a couple who lost

:02:26.:02:28.

five babies. Each candle ` a symbol of a baby lost but never forgotten.

:02:29.:02:32.

Fittingly names as 'Saying Goodbye Service', parents were able to

:02:33.:02:35.

remember the life cut short in the comfort of others around them

:02:36.:02:41.

understand their grief. We spoke to one mother from Southampton who lost

:02:42.:02:44.

her baby when she was just 18 weeks pregnant. I felt you know, I met

:02:45.:02:48.

people who have been through the same experience as me and I think

:02:49.:02:51.

without the support of saying goodbye, I would still feel quite

:02:52.:02:57.

alone. But you know you have the support there and it is the sort of

:02:58.:03:00.

subject nobody talks about. Nobody mentions they have lost a baby. The

:03:01.:03:07.

services are designed to help parents, male and female, young and

:03:08.:03:17.

old. Run by the Mariposa Trust, this is one of 25 gatherings taking place

:03:18.:03:21.

up and down the country. Open to all faiths, these acts of rememberence

:03:22.:03:23.

are free to attend and feature poetry and music. They were the

:03:24.:03:29.

creation of Andy and his wife Zoe after they suffered the lost of five

:03:30.:03:34.

babies. The services help by people being able to come along, there are

:03:35.:03:37.

acts of rememberence. Things like lighting candles and ringing bells,

:03:38.:03:40.

which almost give a voice to a child they sometimes have never seen or

:03:41.:03:44.

lost in early years. So it is an important part in helping them

:03:45.:03:49.

through the grieving process. MUSIC PLAYS. It's hoped not ignoring that

:03:50.:03:58.

lost will give people a sense of peace in their own lives. MUSIC

:03:59.:04:02.

PLAYS. An animal rights campaigner from

:04:03.:04:05.

Oxford is calling for the law to be changed to protect the rights of

:04:06.:04:09.

crabs and lobsters. Paul Tutt has raised concerns about the way live

:04:10.:04:12.

lobsters are sold in markets in Oxfordshire. Experts say there's a

:04:13.:04:14.

general lack of public awareness about how to treat them. But this

:04:15.:04:19.

company in the city says its spent thousands of pounds on equipment to

:04:20.:04:22.

ensure lobsters are treated humanely. If these were kittens who

:04:23.:04:29.

are being boiled alive or cut up alive or shoved in freezers, there

:04:30.:04:32.

would be huge outcry. But I suppose we tend to identify with other

:04:33.:04:35.

mammals and therefore somehow, this issue has been hidden away. I think

:04:36.:04:41.

there should be legislation of which there is currently not a great deal.

:04:42.:04:45.

But as I say, we are ahead of what the minimum is expected, we are

:04:46.:04:49.

ahead of that so I know we are doing everything we can. We've have

:04:50.:04:52.

invested heavily to make sure we can do that.Wonderful weather this

:04:53.:04:55.

weekend, let's see what the week ahead holds in store. Wonderful

:04:56.:04:59.

weather this weekend. Here's Emily Wood.

:05:00.:05:02.

Good evening. After all of the fine weather this weekend, we will see a

:05:03.:05:05.

gradual change for the weak get head to slightly more unsettled

:05:06.:05:08.

conditions. Low pressure is going to take charge of the weather.

:05:09.:05:10.

conditions. Low pressure is going to take charge of the We will still

:05:11.:05:12.

have some warm sunshine tomorrow, it is fine to end the day today too.

:05:13.:05:16.

Overnight we will see more cloud, possibly one or two more showers but

:05:17.:05:19.

it will remain mild overnight with minimum temperatures of 13`15

:05:20.:05:25.

Celsius. First thing tomorrow, we will see more cloud with us, there

:05:26.:05:28.

will still be some spells of sunshine and it will still be quite

:05:29.:05:32.

warm but the chance of an isolated shower out to the West tomorrow.

:05:33.:05:36.

Most places will remain dry and sunny with temperatures 22`23

:05:37.:05:42.

Celsius. From Tuesday onwards, we will see a scattering of showers,

:05:43.:05:46.

some sunshine still but not as warm. Goodbye for now.

:05:47.:05:51.

That's all from us for now. More on the BBC News website. We're back

:05:52.:05:55.

later at a twenty past ten. Until then, have a lovely evening. Bye for

:05:56.:05:56.

now. St James Park and Sheffield both hit

:05:57.:06:13.

25 Celsius this afternoon. That gives us our warmest day in nearly

:06:14.:06:19.

nine months, since 5th September 2013. It goes without saying that it

:06:20.:06:22.

is going to be a warm night. Look out for some showers clipping into

:06:23.:06:26.

eastern Scotland. Some of those could be heavy. Still some patchy

:06:27.:06:31.

rain for western Scotland. More persistent rain returning to

:06:32.:06:34.

Northern Ireland by the end of the night. Showers across Mid and North

:06:35.:06:39.

Wales. Temperatures no lower than 13 degrees. We start Monday on a much

:06:40.:06:43.

more positive footing across western Scotland. Much drier than it has

:06:44.:06:47.

been through the weekend. Showers in the North East. Showers around for

:06:48.:06:50.

Northern Ireland. Brighter spells possible, too. Showers during the

:06:51.:06:54.

first part of the day for North Wales. One or two briefly glancing

:06:55.:06:57.

across the North West of England

:06:58.:06:58.
