cooler throu'h tha weekefd btt t`e weather hs lookhng pretty good bor | :00:00. | :00:15.
Is my wife and I have a babx on the way, and we could do without any | :00:16. | :00:36.
added stress, as we prepare for that. It would be nice to know | :00:37. | :00:52.
exactly where I stand. Also the problem at Dawlish. And we will | :00:53. | :00:57.
speak to the National diving champions. | :00:58. | :01:00.
Plymouth Hospital NHS Trust has today apologised to hundreds | :01:01. | :01:02.
of patients awaiting a CT scan at the region's biggest hospital. | :01:03. | :01:05.
Currently one in six are wahting longer than the mandatory | :01:06. | :01:07.
The Trust says the delays wdre partly caused by the need to replace | :01:08. | :01:12.
Out of the 2,534 patients w`iting, 404 of those are breaching | :01:13. | :01:17.
We'll hear from the Trust in a moment. | :01:18. | :01:23.
Daniel Pearce was diagnosed with cancer last year, and has h`d two | :01:24. | :01:30.
He should be having a CT sc`n every six months, but has bden told | :01:31. | :01:35.
he may have to wait up to an extra three months for his checkup. | :01:36. | :01:40.
I have got to say that the `ctual treatment I have had while leeting | :01:41. | :01:46.
with various different people within the new hospital has been stperb. | :01:47. | :01:49.
In my opinion, it seems likd it is an issue of management, rather | :01:50. | :01:53.
So we need to know when people are going to get treated. | :01:54. | :01:59.
And for his wife, who is expecting their first child, it is vital they | :02:00. | :02:02.
It is something that could come back. | :02:03. | :02:07.
We obviously don't know when, and we are desperately hoping that | :02:08. | :02:09.
As Dan has mentioned, we have had excellent treatment and thex are | :02:10. | :02:14.
confident at the moment that they have got it all, but he does face | :02:15. | :02:17.
possible radiotherapy in thd future, and with the little one on the way, | :02:18. | :02:22.
it would be good to know whdre we stand as much as they can tdll us. | :02:23. | :02:27.
And what the future holds, really, is an added stress that cancer | :02:28. | :02:30.
Since we filmed this intervhew, Dan has now been offered | :02:31. | :02:38.
Here at Derriford Hospital, they have four CT scanners, two for | :02:39. | :02:45.
The Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust had to replace one of its | :02:46. | :02:51.
The trust is saying this is one of the key factors for the growing | :02:52. | :02:56.
Staff are now having to be retrained on the new piece of equipment, | :02:57. | :03:03.
and they are also trying to recruit from within the department. | :03:04. | :03:07.
This, though, isn't much consolation for the patients awaiting | :03:08. | :03:09.
Heidi Davey, BBC Spotlight, Plymouth. | :03:10. | :03:17.
Kevin Baber is the Chief Operating Officer | :03:18. | :03:19.
I asked him what Derriford was doing to clear the backlog. | :03:20. | :03:23.
First and foremost, we would like to say sorry to any | :03:24. | :03:26.
patients who are currently waiting any longer than they should be | :03:27. | :03:28.
Everyone within the imaging department are working really hard | :03:29. | :03:33.
We run extra sessions, we are working at the weekends now, and the | :03:34. | :03:39.
other thing that we are importantly trying to do is to outsourcd some | :03:40. | :03:42.
activity to other providers, so that we can get on top of the backlog, | :03:43. | :03:46.
and bring it back down to where it needs to bd. | :03:47. | :03:50.
Much of this has come about because you had to replace a scanner that | :03:51. | :03:53.
Could you not have foreseen back in then that there would be | :03:54. | :03:57.
an immediate backlog, there would be a need for staff retraining, | :03:58. | :04:01.
and could you not have put some of these contingency plans, such as | :04:02. | :04:04.
outsourcing, into place immddiately, as you replaced the old scanner | :04:05. | :04:08.
Again that is a fair comment to make. | :04:09. | :04:12.
We replaced the CT scanner that was on its last legs very quickly at | :04:13. | :04:17.
We looked to replace that activity by outsourcing, but that was not | :04:18. | :04:23.
possible because there wasn't a suitable provider available, and | :04:24. | :04:26.
we were caught between a rock and a hard place, because the scanner was | :04:27. | :04:30.
unreliable, and I think we have now replaced that with | :04:31. | :04:32.
a reliable scanner, and hopdfully that will help us going forward | :04:33. | :04:35.
in managing the large numbers of patients that are referred to us. | :04:36. | :04:38.
But your own notes to the board predicted that thdre would | :04:39. | :04:40.
be a backlog month on month until at least September, | :04:41. | :04:43.
you're not expecting to get the carry`on month by month down | :04:44. | :04:47.
Well, that backlog is a complicated backlog, | :04:48. | :04:51.
that is patients who were rdferred for an outpatient diagnostic who | :04:52. | :04:54.
We are still looking to recruit radiographers to help with this | :04:55. | :04:59.
And that is just something that you can't do overnight. | :05:00. | :05:04.
And whilst we would love to be able to clear the backlog | :05:05. | :05:07.
in the next couple of weeks, realistically that is not possible. | :05:08. | :05:09.
And in the meantime, anyone who is expecting a CT scan, | :05:10. | :05:12.
who is sitting there perhaps worrying about what the restlts | :05:13. | :05:14.
might show, but are now havhng to wait longer than they expected, | :05:15. | :05:17.
Well, I think if they are w`iting for a scan as part of | :05:18. | :05:22.
their treatment with the oncology department, if they are concerned, | :05:23. | :05:26.
they can raise those concerns with their oncologists, with the team, | :05:27. | :05:30.
and if a patient needs to be expedited, | :05:31. | :05:33.
then we will do everything we can to try and do that. | :05:34. | :05:37.
OK, Kevin Baber, thank you very much indeed for joining us. | :05:38. | :05:40.
The hospital says anyone concerned should call their patient advisory | :05:41. | :05:44.
Network Rail is facing opposition over proposals to raise | :05:45. | :05:55.
the height of the sea wall at Dawlish in a bid to prevdnt | :05:56. | :05:59.
Some residents claim it'll lean an invasion of privacy | :06:00. | :06:04.
Others though want to ensurd their properties are better protected | :06:05. | :06:10.
Smiles all round as the railway line reopened at Dawlish | :06:11. | :06:19.
back in April, after it was smashed to pieces in the winter storms. | :06:20. | :06:22.
But two months on, there is a problem. | :06:23. | :06:25.
Network Rail wants to raise the sea wall, | :06:26. | :06:27.
where there is a popular pedestrian walkway ,to protect the lind even | :06:28. | :06:30.
more, but many of the peopld living next to it aren't happy. | :06:31. | :06:35.
These houses were built with the footpath at a lower levdl, | :06:36. | :06:38.
and they have got an awful lot of glass in the front, | :06:39. | :06:41.
And the raised footpath is going to be so close, it isgoing to be | :06:42. | :06:50.
And this is why people like Richard are angry. | :06:51. | :06:54.
Network Rail wants to get rhd of these steps | :06:55. | :06:56.
and rebuild the sea wall at its full height for the whole stretch. | :06:57. | :07:00.
When the railway line was btilt in the 1840s, | :07:01. | :07:05.
Back then, the landowner insisted the sea wall | :07:06. | :07:11.
was lowered so that he didn't lose see what view or his privacx. | :07:12. | :07:14.
A few use years later, in the 1 50s, this happened, a section vulnerable | :07:15. | :07:17.
Fast forward to February 2004, and a repeat performance, | :07:18. | :07:24.
which is why Network Rail is adamant changes must be made. | :07:25. | :07:29.
As far as privacy is concerned, yes there clearly is still an issue and | :07:30. | :07:34.
what we are talking to her dngineers about now is the possibilitx that | :07:35. | :07:39.
if we lowered the wall by a metre or so, then, we are still going to | :07:40. | :07:43.
Obviously, the higher we buhld the wall, the better the protection | :07:44. | :07:47.
Even this couple, whose homd overlooks the line, can't agree | :07:48. | :07:52.
Most people wouldn't want somebody standing looking | :07:53. | :07:54.
into their front gardens all the time, especially as the whole | :07:55. | :07:58.
And we have had enough of people coming, the world and his | :07:59. | :08:04.
wife coming to look at us now even though we are on a private road | :08:05. | :08:08.
Privacy is very much a secondary issue, | :08:09. | :08:10.
way down the list, and I don't think the structure of the wall or | :08:11. | :08:15.
So it is back to the drawing board to find that | :08:16. | :08:22.
compromise and still minimise the risk of this happening `gain. | :08:23. | :08:26.
Farmers in the region claim new Govdrnment | :08:27. | :08:33.
plans to tackle bovine TB whll severely damage their livelhhoods | :08:34. | :08:35.
At the moment, farmers are `llowed to continue trading their hdalthy | :08:36. | :08:40.
animals on the open market hf they keep them separate from those cattle | :08:41. | :08:44.
But from October, the rules are going to change | :08:45. | :08:48.
and they'll have to find another piece of land away from the farm to | :08:49. | :08:51.
DEFRA says it''ll make the system more effective ` | :08:52. | :08:55.
but farmers claim it'll havd a severe impact on their business. | :08:56. | :08:59.
Why can't we continue doing what we have done | :09:00. | :09:03.
Farmers have been able to trade and it hasn't impacted | :09:04. | :09:09.
But the new rules, the new regulations, | :09:10. | :09:12.
We can't find isolation units five miles away, three miles awax, | :09:13. | :09:20.
Out of hours GP services in Cornwall are to be redrawn | :09:21. | :09:25.
when current provider Serco's contract ends next year. | :09:26. | :09:28.
Serco is ending the arrangement early, | :09:29. | :09:32.
It was criticised by a government committee for | :09:33. | :09:36.
NHS Kernow says a year long interim service will be put in placd while | :09:37. | :09:42.
it explores new ways of providing the service, which may see community | :09:43. | :09:45.
One of the issues we have identified is the location of services | :09:46. | :09:53.
Our community hospitals provide a very valuable resource | :09:54. | :09:56.
for access to unplanned card, and one of the things we are looking at | :09:57. | :10:00.
is how we can use that and be part of that integrated team, so they are | :10:01. | :10:04.
A charity has appealed in pdrson to the Justice Secretary Chris Grayling | :10:05. | :10:10.
to think again about the wax in which he's re`organised part of the | :10:11. | :10:14.
Former offenders in Dorset say that they bendfited | :10:15. | :10:18.
from being close to home before release but the government is | :10:19. | :10:22.
now sending inmates from thd west of the county to Devon. | :10:23. | :10:25.
The Ministry of Justice has defended the move. | :10:26. | :10:27.
It was the streets of Dorset where he got into trouble with thd police, | :10:28. | :10:36.
but it was the streets of Dorset he had to return to at the end | :10:37. | :10:39.
of his sentence, so being in a jail in the same county prior to release | :10:40. | :10:43.
For the last four months of your sentence, | :10:44. | :10:47.
you want to be in a resettldment prison which is near to homd. | :10:48. | :10:51.
Well, it is important because you can relate to the people | :10:52. | :10:55.
They understood what I was on about when I was talking | :10:56. | :10:59.
about certain places to resdttle in, to move back to, to live. | :11:00. | :11:02.
Many offenders from Dorset used to serve their | :11:03. | :11:06.
sentences out in the county, but Dorchester prison is now closed | :11:07. | :11:08.
There was talk of sending all inmates to Portland, shortlx before | :11:09. | :11:13.
their release, but the government then decided the resettlement jail | :11:14. | :11:16.
When prison wings on Portland were originally earmarked for men from | :11:17. | :11:22.
Dorset about to rejoin the outside world, the move was welcomed. | :11:23. | :11:25.
The Police and Crime Commissioner said it would allow rehabilhtation | :11:26. | :11:29.
Schemes are already in place wher young offenders are | :11:30. | :11:34.
replaced on temporary licence in the final weeks and months. | :11:35. | :11:36.
A charity, which has voluntders on both sides of the wall to help | :11:37. | :11:39.
smooth the way back into society by helping people in the se`rch | :11:40. | :11:44.
for work, for example, says the process is now much more difficult. | :11:45. | :11:49.
They are not going to be settling, resettling, in Devon, | :11:50. | :11:52.
They are going to go to thehr home, which is in Dorset, | :11:53. | :11:57.
So it is misnamed, in my ophnion, because I think if you are going to | :11:58. | :12:06.
resettle, then you are going to be in your home area, | :12:07. | :12:09.
The Ministry of Justice says it has reviewed its network of resdttlement | :12:10. | :12:13.
prisons, and the continuous service to rehabilitate people from custody | :12:14. | :12:16.
But another former inmate from Dorset told me the govdrnment's | :12:17. | :12:22.
If you had been in Devon, rather than Dorchester, | :12:23. | :12:27.
Well, it is just too far aw`y to get the support that I need. | :12:28. | :12:33.
Yeah, I am getting the support now from Footprints, other agencies | :12:34. | :12:41.
Without their support I would be back | :12:42. | :12:43.
Both ex`offenders I met are now rebuilding their lives. | :12:44. | :12:47.
And they say being unable to come out of a local jail, whth | :12:48. | :12:50.
Life is going great know, ydah, I have got some help, managdd to | :12:51. | :12:57.
Getting housing was a lot e`sier, and it really helped me being | :12:58. | :13:03.

One of Plymouth's biggest elployers has announced that | :13:13. | :13:14.
around a quarter of its workforce is in a potential pool for redtndancy. | :13:15. | :13:24.
City College Plymouth says, though, it doesn't expect the final number | :13:25. | :13:26.
It's blaming government cuts which means it's losing almost ?2 million | :13:27. | :13:30.
from its budget for the academic year beginning in September. | :13:31. | :13:33.
The University and College Tnion says it will work with management to | :13:34. | :13:36.
ensure there are no compulsory redundancies. | :13:37. | :13:40.
The six`times Olympic event rider Mary King has been banned | :13:41. | :13:43.
from competing for two months for dangerous riding. | :13:44. | :13:46.
Mary, from Salcombe Regis, has received two yellow cards | :13:47. | :13:49.
within twelve months which means automatic suspension. | :13:50. | :13:53.
Her daughter will now take Lary s rides. | :13:54. | :13:58.
Coming up next a new chapter for a bus proving popular whth | :13:59. | :14:01.
Plus we'll be live at the Plymouth Life Centre to catch up | :14:02. | :14:10.
And join us later as 38 skippers take stock here in Plymouth | :14:11. | :14:17.
at the end of the first leg of the Solitaire Du Figaro yacht race. | :14:18. | :14:24.
Getting children to read isn't always the easiest of jobs. | :14:25. | :14:26.
But pupils with complex needs at a school in Exeter now love | :14:27. | :14:30.
Spotlight's John Henderson found out why when he met 13`year`old Alex | :14:31. | :14:36.
Some of the younger children werd crying, | :14:37. | :14:40.
but Mattie was determined not to let his feelings get the better of him. | :14:41. | :14:46.
Alex enjoying a story in the sensory garden. | :14:47. | :14:49.
Well, John, it looks like the clouds are coming over, so I am gohng to | :14:50. | :14:55.
In a lower deck, there is a comfy place to browse the books | :14:56. | :15:10.
It is just the same old routine every Friday. | :15:11. | :15:14.
# It's Friday, Friday, got to get down on Friday. # That's | :15:15. | :15:32.
There is complete silence on the upper deck with more young | :15:33. | :15:35.
And we'll be able to go on the Kindles. | :15:36. | :15:38.
This is thought to be the only library bus in the south`west. | :15:39. | :15:42.
In all, ?20,000 of donations and volunteered effort have turned | :15:43. | :15:44.
the double`decker into a pl`ce of learning. | :15:45. | :15:46.
One of our most disaffected pupils, his comment to me was, everx break | :15:47. | :15:50.
and lunchtime, he was going to be on the bus reading books. | :15:51. | :15:52.
Which is just, you know, it is priceless. | :15:53. | :15:54.
The bus has replaced a library that wasn't up to scratch, | :15:55. | :15:57.
Southbridge is a special school for students with varied | :15:58. | :16:06.
They have now got the library they deserve. | :16:07. | :16:11.
John Henderson, BBC Spotlight, Exeter. | :16:12. | :16:16.
This week two Plymouth teen`gers surprised the diving world | :16:17. | :16:19.
14`year`old Matthew Dixon and 13`year`old Victoria Vincent | :16:20. | :16:22.
both beat the adults to win their respective ten metre titles | :16:23. | :16:28.
Today, they're back training at the Plymouth Life Centre and Brent | :16:29. | :16:36.
Tom Daley and Sarah Barrell doing so well at the Olympics and thhngs like | :16:37. | :16:51.
that, but the production line of talent here at Plymouth Lifd Centre | :16:52. | :16:55.
goes on to the next generathon as well. They are Plymouth's l`test | :16:56. | :17:02.
sporting champions. Matthew Dixon and Victoria Vincent may or may be | :17:03. | :17:07.
14 and 13 years old, but thdy are already national senior chalpions. | :17:08. | :17:12.
Hard at work in the life centre to date, one of their own in the life | :17:13. | :17:17.
centre to date, one of their own all the way. | :17:18. | :17:19.
They are both very young, and they have a lot more work to do, and when | :17:20. | :17:24.
they are my age, thank God H will be retired, because they are going to | :17:25. | :17:29.
be amazing. Acrobatic Matthew is followhng in | :17:30. | :17:33.
the footsteps of a certain Tom Daley. At last week 's | :17:34. | :17:38.
championships, he took Tom's title, as the Olympic medallist was away at | :17:39. | :17:43.
the series in Mexico. But a national title is still a national thtle and | :17:44. | :17:48.
that the duo are also good friends, is to say they want to be British | :17:49. | :17:56.
diving's next big thing? Well, I am joined by everybody here now, and be | :17:57. | :18:00.
medallist. As the ball, Matthew Dixon. Matthew, you took Tol | :18:01. | :18:05.
Daley's title, how the bribds were you? I was very surprised. H didn't | :18:06. | :18:11.
really think it would happen. How difficult was it to beat bobby men, | :18:12. | :18:18.
because you are only 14? It was a hard competition, I knew it was | :18:19. | :18:22.
going to be a tough competition I just held my nerve, and on the day, | :18:23. | :18:27.
I didn't make any mistakes, so I am happy. Obviously you have won the | :18:28. | :18:31.
British title now, and you have had a day to relax, has it sunk in yet, | :18:32. | :18:37.
what is next? I am not sure if it has. We will find out tomorrow if we | :18:38. | :18:44.
get to go to the Commonwealth Games. That is when it will sink in or not. | :18:45. | :18:53.
We are going to Italy in two weeks time for the Junior Europeans, so | :18:54. | :18:58.
that will be fun. Sally Fredman you are Matthew's culture. How surprised | :18:59. | :19:05.
you? I was fairly surprised. But he was the best of the rest. Tom Daley | :19:06. | :19:10.
obviously out of the countrx leaving the title wide open, and Matthew | :19:11. | :19:14.
does take it with some fabulous diving. Victoria is alongside me | :19:15. | :19:19.
know. Victoria, you moved from London. Why did you decide to do | :19:20. | :19:25.
that? Well, I really wanted to get far in my diving, and I think it was | :19:26. | :19:29.
a good move. So you have obviously won the gold medal today. Wdre you | :19:30. | :19:35.
surprised as well? He still had to beat bobby adults? Everybodx was | :19:36. | :19:46.
diving to their full potenthal. Do you think you are improving? I have | :19:47. | :19:52.
definitely improved in my tdn metre dives, because I have got a new | :19:53. | :19:58.
personal best by 40 points, which I think is quite good. Andy B`nks you | :19:59. | :20:03.
are the head coach here. Thd man behind Tom Daley. These two guys | :20:04. | :20:09.
have won national titles. How good I in the grand scheme of things. Well, | :20:10. | :20:15.
the big guns are not here, but they got up on the board alongside the | :20:16. | :20:22.
older young Matthew is coming up behind Tom Daley, and we have the | :20:23. | :20:26.
girls coming up here. We have got new cultures coming along, `nd | :20:27. | :20:31.
Plymouth is going from strength to strength. It is great. The Olympics | :20:32. | :20:36.
in two years time will prob`bly be a little bit too soon for these guys. | :20:37. | :20:42.
But 2020, is that what you're aiming at? It is all about the performance | :20:43. | :20:47.
on the day. We are going to try to get through this season first, they | :20:48. | :20:51.
have got exciting things coling up, and we will develop them, jtst as we | :20:52. | :20:55.
have with the others. They will be in the next body trials comhng up | :20:56. | :21:04.
the future. Thank you very luch Great medallists, great gold medals, | :21:05. | :21:10.
and who knows? Perhaps Olympians of the future standing alongside Mehew | :21:11. | :21:15.
tonight. Thank you. Stars to watch ott for. | :21:16. | :21:22.
The skippers of the Solitaire du Figaro | :21:23. | :21:23.
single`handed yacht race have been resting in Plymouth today at the end | :21:24. | :21:26.
They've been sharing their experiences with hundreds | :21:27. | :21:30.
Spotlight's Dave Gibbins has been to Sutton Harbour to meet some of them. | :21:31. | :21:34.
It was quite a sight in Sutton Harbour. 38 yachts, all 30 feet in | :21:35. | :21:40.
length, at the end of the fhrst stage of the Solitaire du Fhgaro. | :21:41. | :21:47.
They came in yesterday afternoon with the first Briton appearing in | :21:48. | :21:50.
Plymouth Sound. Sam Goodchild welcome some of the many | :21:51. | :21:55.
schoolchildren aboard his y`cht They witnessed first hand what life | :21:56. | :22:00.
is like aboard a sailing vessel Here we are on team Plymouth. It is | :22:01. | :22:06.
very basic down here. We have our navigation, her kit bags, a bit of | :22:07. | :22:11.
food, and that is about it. We don't have many creature comforts. We have | :22:12. | :22:17.
one still, with food in bags that we heat up. The toilet is a bucket | :22:18. | :22:22.
That is life on the Figaro. This is where I sleep here. We have got the | :22:23. | :22:26.
engine head to keep us warm. The deck is not too far away. Wd don't | :22:27. | :22:32.
sleep for more than ten or 05 minutes at a time, and all `` over a | :22:33. | :22:37.
three day race, we get about four hours. When the sleeping happens, it | :22:38. | :22:45.
happens here. It was quite cool It was bigger than iPod. Are excited? | :22:46. | :22:51.
Yes, I am really looking forward to going on. It is going to be very | :22:52. | :22:56.
exciting. Would you like to be on exciting. Would you like to be on | :22:57. | :23:01.
the boat when it goes to Fr`nce Yes. What would you do to hdlp him? | :23:02. | :23:12.
I would probably clean up. This boat spent four years in Portland. He | :23:13. | :23:18.
acted as a churning assistant to the sailors. It will double my sea | :23:19. | :23:25.
miles. It is 2000 miles over the four stages, so quite a long way. I | :23:26. | :23:31.
am looking to do pretty well. The next leg of the race sets of early | :23:32. | :23:36.
Saturday evening, with a further two stages to go after that. Out of the | :23:37. | :23:42.
38 bolts here, there is one without a must. That is the winner from | :23:43. | :23:55.
2012, which was dismasted. There is a time penalty for coming in last of | :23:56. | :24:06.
two hours. It has been a lovely day for a school trip down to the | :24:07. | :24:10.
water. Very nice, blue skies. The weather will be all important for | :24:11. | :24:12.
the next stage. How looking? I think it is looking prettx good. | :24:13. | :24:27.
We have had 20 Celsius todax. Pretty much the warmest day of the year so | :24:28. | :24:32.
far, we may also get a degrde warmer tomorrow. Fine and warm, light winds | :24:33. | :24:38.
and strong sunshine. We are going to see a subtle change as we move into | :24:39. | :24:43.
the weekend, but don't be too disappointed, just a little more in | :24:44. | :24:46.
the way of cloud. That is covering the northern half of the cotntry, | :24:47. | :24:50.
you can see it on the satellite picture. That will float around the | :24:51. | :24:53.
side of the area of low pressure, bringing it to work as. Not for | :24:54. | :24:59.
tomorrow, but for Friday night and Saturday, just a little mord in the | :25:00. | :25:03.
way of cloud. Coming in frol the east, which threatens a shower as we | :25:04. | :25:08.
go into Saturday, but it wotld be fairly isolated. You can sed how | :25:09. | :25:12.
thin strands of cloud are btilding up across us, but for many of us it | :25:13. | :25:16.
has been unbroken sunshine `ll day. This was earlier today. As xou can | :25:17. | :25:22.
see, there is virtually no clouds at all in the sky. Beautiful blue sky. | :25:23. | :25:28.
Good visibility not just here, but also further up the coast in Devon, | :25:29. | :25:31.
we have seen generally light winds, and plenty of warm sunshine to | :25:32. | :25:37.
enjoy. The conditions have been almost perfect for a stroll along | :25:38. | :25:43.
the coastline or a visit to a very pretty Devon town. Looking `t the | :25:44. | :25:47.
detail overnight tonight, the cloud that we have seen building tp will | :25:48. | :25:52.
very quickly fade away. For much of the night, clear skies. Maybe in the | :25:53. | :25:56.
second half of the night, a little bit of Mr Fogg. Not much. Bx the | :25:57. | :26:01.
time most of other going to work, it will be gone. Temperatures will more | :26:02. | :26:07.
than eight or 10 Celsius. For many of us, a lover `` another lovely day | :26:08. | :26:16.
tomorrow. Temperatures up to 19 or 20 Celsius by the afternoon, and in | :26:17. | :26:20.
the strong sunshine, we will see those temperatures climb evdn | :26:21. | :26:25.
higher. Just a little bit of cloud coming from the Irish Sea. This is | :26:26. | :26:30.
as we move towards the end of the afternoon, but that will blot out | :26:31. | :26:34.
the sunshine as we head tow`rds the early evening. 23 Celsius possible | :26:35. | :26:38.
tomorrow. Possibly even a ddgree or so warmer than that. By the Isles of | :26:39. | :26:45.
Scilly, fine and 12. A quick look at the times of high water. Not a good | :26:46. | :26:55.
deal of Sir. The maximum I can see is about three feet, dependhng on | :26:56. | :26:59.
the state of the tide. The temperatures of between 14 `nd 5 | :27:00. | :27:03.
Celsius, so BC is getting w`rmer. Here we have the coastal waters | :27:04. | :27:09.
Generally fair with good visibility. As I mentioned, on Saturday there | :27:10. | :27:11.
will be more cloud around. There may well be a shower in parts of | :27:12. | :27:17.
Somerset and Dorset and Devon. But most of us, and another lovdly day. | :27:18. | :27:21.
Just a little bit cooler. It generally quite a lot of on Sunday, | :27:22. | :27:25.
but still dry, and the fine weather returns on Monday of next wdek, | :27:26. | :27:29.
probably sticking with us all of next week too. At the good dvening. | :27:30. | :27:34.
Thank you. That is from us tonight. We will be back tomorrow night at | :27:35. | :27:38.
the usual time of 6:30 p.m.. I will be back later with the late those at | :27:39. | :27:40.
ten p.m.. Goodbye. | :27:41. | :27:46. |
