Police say a 25-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious,

life-threatening injuries following a hit-and-run

It happened just before one o'clock this morning on Gestridge Road.

The road was closed for several hours.

A Plymouth teenager has been telling the BBC how he stumbled

across a missing man who'd been down a hole in the woods

Izaak Eglington Watts had shouted into the hole,

expecting to hear an echo, but got the fright of his life

It was meant to be a pleasant walk in Plymbridge Woods for Isaak

and one of his friends but what happened next took both

So, this is the hole that me and my friend Emily found

And I leaned in to say hello, just to hear the echo.

And that's when I got the response back.

The moment was captured on a mobile phone.

I was terrified, to begin with, because I thought, Oh my God!

I didn't expect to go to a hole that was pitch-black with nothing

The man in the hole was James Thompson, who is 51.

He had last been seen on CCTV in Plymouth a month earlier.

When he was found, he was close to death.

Taking it to its natural conclusion, you saved a guy's life.

I am really happy that it has come to that conclusion

I mean, it must be a relief to his family and him

I'm glad he is on the right hands and safe.

It is thought James Thomson had been sleeping rough,

suffered an injury and crawled into the hole for shelter.

He was in a very poor state when he was found.

The hole has been closed off for safety.

A group of food growers in Devon say they've found a way to make ten

times more money from their produce than by selling to supermarkets.

Chagford Market Garden farms just six acres -

but uses a model called subscription farming, selling direct

Working the land with just an ancient tractor

This is community-supported agriculture in action.

I was very excited when we first heard about this scheme

because I love good food and the fact that they were

going to grow it locally, there would be no food miles,

it was grown to organic principles, so I knew that it would be top

Many of the 90 customers, all from within a 12-mile

radius of the village, help work the land, too.

We supply directly to our members who are customers.

So they pay an annual subscription to the farm,

So, as growers, we are able to essentially sell our produce

The veg boxes cost around ?500 a year, with big discounts

There were huge delays on the M5 today after a trailer

It happened southbound between junctions 30 and 31

The road was closed for a time while the cows were moved

The Exeter Chiefs rugby match and the Exeter City football game

were both delayed to allow time for fans to arrive.

Football now and Plymouth Argyle are one step closer to automatic

promotion after winning 2-1 against Crawley.

Exeter lost 1-0 to Newport, and Yeovil lost 3-1 at Portsmouth.

Torquay drew 1-1 at Aldershot in the National League.

On to rugby and the Exeter Chiefs picked up a bonu-point win

as they beat West Country rivals Bristol 38-34 at Sandy Park.

Meanwhile, the Cornish Pirates lost to Richmond 24-20.
