Good evening. at the earlier time of nine o'clock.

The Police have moved on a large group of travellers

Local people say the group arrived in the new town near Exeter

They're calling for action to be taken to stop them coming back.

Piles of rubbish and building rubble are littered around

the railway-station car park, a short distance from the houses.

Local people say around 20 caravans, along with vans and other vehicles,

had been using the car park as a campsite.

Others were parked on nearby land designed as an open

Every night you go out and there are travellers

going round people's gardens, abusing people like myself.

I was in the dog park with my dog when I'd finished work.

Next minute, a couple of teenagers came up and started chucking stones

I had done nothing wrong and I live here.

This is just the abuse we get on a daily basis.

Some residents of Cranbrook, perhaps understandably,

But they said they were particularly concerned about quadbikes

being driven at high speed along these little footpaths around

Causing local people to fear for the safety.

It is great to have them moved on, because I was hearing

about incidences of confrontations with residents who were

walking their dogs, minding their own business.

Incidences of human waste being found in some of the tunnels

nearby and people's dogs coming into contact with that,

It is great if they are gone, for the foreseeable future.

A temporary barrier has been put across the entrance

Local people are calling for permanent measures to stop

Plymouth's Royal Citadel is having ?1 million worth of urgent

There will be repaired to the masonry, Windows and doors. Special

effort will be made to use specific materials and local craftspeople.

It's been announced that Plymouth will host the start

of the Golden Globe Yacht Race in June next year.

The race marks the 50th anniversary of Sir Robin Knox-Johnston's victory

But it's a blow for Falmouth, which had hoped to secure the race.

final and massive things to be proud of, so disappointing

to obviously lose in the final, but it has been a great season.
