Hello. I will look at the next few days but we will look into next week

as September draws to a close. September has made the headlines as

being dry. Although there is rain, there isn't a great deal over the

next few days. Over the next two or three days the weather systems will

drift into northern areas and high pressure will keep things largely

dry but cloudy in the South. At the chilly start in the South, it will

cloud over and a weather system will ring hill fog and rain across

northern and western areas. The eastern parts of Scotland, England,

Northern Ireland and Wales, seemed warmth and temperatures into the low

20s. Hot on the heels of that weather system, another one comes in

on Thursday night. It is quite potent with severe gale force winds

and those will be a feature of the weather through Friday. In fact

Thursday and Friday. It does blow the cloud away, brings some showers

and in southern areas we could have a cloudy day with some showers

around, but not for all. Many places will have dry weather as well. As

the sun comes out temperatures could be in the high teens and local 20s

which is above average for this time of year. Low pressure is still close

by into the weekend in southern areas. But it is still quite windy.

A greater risk of rain in the North and West but there will be a lot of

dry weather around. It just looks quite cloudy. Some warmth when the

sunshine comes out into the low 20s and they should not be many chilly

nights with the blanket of cloud. Rebecca Bee some mist and fog around

in the mornings. On Sunday it is starting to recede. It is allowing

the weather front to come in later in the weekend. It looks as if it

will ring it to Northern Ireland and Scotland primarily. We cannot rule

out drizzle elsewhere. In the sunshine, quite a lot of warmth. For

the next three or four days, not a huge amount of rain. But we pick up

a southerly wind which could increase the chances of developing

showery rain, even in southern counties. But it will stay quite

warm. That is generally the trend for the next few days. We should not

have many chilly nights after tonight and we should see

temperatures up of average in the day. Last night we were talking

about how all our computer models, the different models we run all

converging giving the same idea of the forecast. So we had a lot of

confidence for the next few days. But during the course of the last

few days we have seen a slight diversion. But things do settle down

later next week. But the key is what happens across Canada and North

America. It will directly affect what is happening in the UK into the

early part of next week, which is set to turn on saddled with rain for

some but it looks drier towards the end of next week.
