Ahoy there, me hearties, my name is Jem.

And look, Teddy is dressed up like a pirate, ready for a pirate story.

It's this one here, Ten Little Pirates,

10 little pirates sailing out to sea.

Looking for adventure, happy as can be.

Are they hunting treasure?

Are they going far? 10 little pirates all say, "Arr!"

10 little pirates and the weather's looking fine.

"Squawk!" goes an albatross.

Now there are nine.

Nine little pirates searching for their mate.

"Snap!" goes the lightning.

Now there are eight.

Eight little pirates looking up to heaven.

"Whoosh!" goes a hurricane.

Now there are seven.

Seven little pirates really in a fix.

"Crash!" goes a great big wave.

Now there are six.

Six little pirates trying to stay alive.

"Chomp!" goes a giant squid.

Now there are five.

Five little pirates spot a man-of-war.

"Boom!" goes the cannon.

Now there are four.

Four little pirates bobbing on the sea.

"Coo-ee!" calls a mermaid.

Now there are three.

Three little pirates wondering what to do.

"Splash!" goes a water spout.

Now there are two.

Two little pirates baking in the sun.

"Snap!" goes a hungry shark.

Now there is one.

One little pirate, sad and all alone.

No ship, no food, no way home.

Then one, then two,

then three, then more,

all the other pirates splutter to the shore.

Drinking milk from coconuts, safe beneath the star.

10 little pirates all say, "Arr!"
