Martin here with all of Wednesday's top stories.

First to a very serious disease called Zika - which doctors around

They're looking at ways to help thousands of people living in

South and Central America, and the Caribbean, who are affected.

I've been looking into what it is, and how to fight it.

Zika is a disease carried by mosquitoes.

When a mosquito bites people, it spread the disease,

The type of mosquitoes that carry the disease

live in tropical countries so it is not likely

so mild that they don't even know that they were infected.

They feel a bit unwell, like they have got a cold.

But it is more serious if a woman is having a baby.

Scientists think it may affect how a baby grows before it is born.

Doctors around the world are now coming up with ways

While scientists making new medicines and vaccines to stop

the Zika virus, everyone is going to be working to make sure

that people don't get bitten by mosquitoes.

They will be trying to get rid of the mosquitoes.

That will stop a lot of different diseases.

But the McVitie's factory that makes biscuits like custard creams

and ginger nuts was badly damaged in the floods two months ago.

Production's still not back to normal so there's a big shortage.

The factory says it's working hard to get things back to normal.

I am going to go and get so many biscuits! I don't like shortages of
