Good morning, Ayshah here at Newsround HQ | :00:10. | :00:12.
The remote island with no teachers around and | :00:13. | :00:16.
great news for the world's rarest big cat. | :00:17. | :00:26.
So, we are two days from the official start | :00:27. | :00:29.
of the Rio Olympic Games and there's already some sport kicking off today | :00:30. | :00:33.
with women's football matches happening later. | :00:34. | :00:37.
Most of Team GB are busy preparing at their training | :00:38. | :00:39.
The BBC's David McDaid is there and sent us this report | :00:40. | :00:45.
Team GB have come here and they have turned this place into | :00:46. | :01:03.
75% of the British team will come to use the facilities | :01:04. | :01:08.
here and around the city before they head to Rio. | :01:09. | :01:13.
The team spent over an million pounds to make sure they have | :01:14. | :01:19.
everything they need in order to be in peak condition at the Games. One | :01:20. | :01:25.
lad who will be going for gold will be Ashley McKenzie. He could win a | :01:26. | :01:30.
gold in judo on the very first day of competition. Let's bring it on. | :01:31. | :01:39.
That doesn't faze me one bit. I am relaxed and ready to go and ready | :01:40. | :01:43.
for my family and friends at home to support me. GB's women rugby sevens | :01:44. | :01:50.
team are also playing on the first day. It is the first time this board | :01:51. | :01:54.
has been played at the Olympic Games and the captain thinks it is a big | :01:55. | :01:59.
deal for women's sport. It is a big deal that women can watch this and | :02:00. | :02:04.
think, I could be an Olympian playing rugby. That is exciting. It | :02:05. | :02:08.
was not the case when any of us were growing up. The athletes are ready | :02:09. | :02:13.
for Rio where the Olympics begin in just a couple of days' time. | :02:14. | :02:16.
We're all really excited at Newsround about the start | :02:17. | :02:19.
of the Games, a lot of us might be supporting Team GB, | :02:20. | :02:22.
but there's also a whole new team to look out for. | :02:23. | :02:24.
Two weeks, 42 sports, 206 countries competing in the world's | :02:25. | :02:31.
Rio 2016 kicks off this week, but this year there's a new team | :02:32. | :02:40.
For the first time, a team of ten refugees have been selected | :02:41. | :02:45.
Refugees are people who have had to leave their own countries | :02:46. | :02:50.
Athletes from the team are hoping to inspire others like them. | :02:51. | :02:55.
For the refugees in Brazil and all the refugees around | :02:56. | :02:59.
the world, we are going to represent you guys in a really good picture | :03:00. | :03:02.
and I hope everyone will continue to achieve their dreams. | :03:03. | :03:09.
The refugees will take part in three sports - athletics, | :03:10. | :03:12.
They'll compete under the Olympic flag and that symbol | :03:13. | :03:19.
will be next to their names in competitions, rather | :03:20. | :03:22.
They'll also be taking part in the opening ceremony, | :03:23. | :03:27.
marching in front of host country Brazil. | :03:28. | :03:30.
For many years, they have been here and nobody | :03:31. | :03:35.
told us that we could be given that opportunity. | :03:36. | :03:39.
The athletes and Olympic organisers hope that | :03:40. | :03:43.
by taking part in the Games, they can be a symbol of hope | :03:44. | :03:46.
and highlight the problems faced by refugees around the world. | :03:47. | :03:51.
As two of the world's rarest big cats have been born | :03:52. | :03:56.
There are less than 300 Amur snow leopards left in the world, | :03:57. | :04:02.
The cubs are the second pair born to mum Kristen and dad Davidoff | :04:03. | :04:08.
and the zoo is really excited about their arrival. | :04:09. | :04:14.
This is extremely good news because they are critically | :04:15. | :04:16.
There are less than 70 of these animals left in the wild | :04:17. | :04:22.
so they are on the brink of extinction and they are | :04:23. | :04:24.
threatened mostly by illegal hunting and poaching of their skin, | :04:25. | :04:27.
So the long-term hope is that we will safely be able | :04:28. | :04:35.
to reintroduce some Amur leopards back into the wild to help | :04:36. | :04:37.
reinforce the population that is already there. | :04:38. | :04:39.
We've been asking for your wizardly reviews of Harry Potter | :04:40. | :04:42.
The new script from JK Rowling was released at the weekend and Maya | :04:43. | :04:46.
Brilliant, superb, couldn't be any better. | :04:47. | :04:50.
I thoroughly enjoyed Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. | :04:51. | :04:53.
It hooks you in, and it is written in script, | :04:54. | :04:55.
And I read it quicker than any book ever before. | :04:56. | :04:59.
I give it six stars out of five. No spoilers, Harry Potter fans. | :05:00. | :05:04.
And get online because there's still time to send us your | :05:05. | :05:11.
And you can see what other Potter readers have to say about it too. | :05:12. | :05:17.
To find a teacher for a tiny island off Scotland. | :05:18. | :05:25.
The island of Muck in the Hebrides is home to just seven pupils. | :05:26. | :05:27.
They're struggling to someone to come and teach there so parents | :05:28. | :05:34.
The kids spoke to the BBC's Lorna Gordon about their perfect teacher. | :05:35. | :05:40.
I would want a teacher that knows how to garden, | :05:41. | :05:42.
a teacher that knows how to teach lots of things. | :05:43. | :05:45.
I would like a fun, imaginative and happy teacher. | :05:46. | :05:52.
