Good morning, it's Tuesday, I'm Jenny and this is Newsround.

First up, some space news and a new camera satellite has been

launched by the European Space Agency.

Satellite Sentinel 2B will join another satellite already in space

to take pictures of the Earth's surface every five days and send

back information about pollution levels in lakes and coastal waters,

as well as monitor forests all over the world.

Also helping to measure pollution are some unexpected

Yes, pigeons are being used in an experiment to learn

Martin has been 'coo-vering' over the story.

I see them all the time in the city, trying to find bits of food

But how are they linked to pollution

- apart from both starting with the letter P?

Well, scientists are using pigeons to gather information by strapping

It is known that pollution that comes of our cars with diesel

engines rises to rooftop level, but what isn't known

is what happens next to the pollution, where does it go?

I thought, well, birds, they fly everywhere. If they can carry the

senses, and they are tiny enough, we can start to understand the

dispersion of pollution around the city.

Birmingham University are carrying out a test flight.

I feel nervous. It is the first time we have done this.

One of the pigeons is fitted with a small, lightweight sensor

I am happy with that. I just hope they go home.

Just six minutes later, the pigeons are back and the sensor

The light is still flashing. That's a good sign!

Rick and his team have been able to find out the route the pigeons

The information will help them to figure out how pollution

What is this pigeon called? I haven't got a name for him. I call

him number 80. So thanks pigeon number 80,

you've done everyone proud. OK, time for a quick look at the top

sports stories today. Chelsea are now 10 points ahead at

the top of the Premier League table. Last night they beat

West Ham 2-1 thanks to goals Manuel Lanzini managed to get a goal

for the home side in injury time. Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger,

says there was no training ground argument between Alexis Sanchez

and his team-mates before Arsenal play Bayern Munich

in the Champions League tonight, and have to come back from being 5-1

down after the first leg. And Manchester United's Zlatan

Ibrahimovic and Bournemouth's Tyrone Mings are in trouble

with the football authorities. During their match

on Saturday, Mings appeared forward before Zlatan seemed

to elbow him in the Now time to tackle a real

black and white issue. This has been bamboozling me for

years. It is a bit of a grey area until

now. One third is all one colour. Pandas have black and white patches.

Scientists think they know why. Unlike some other types of bears,

pandas are active all year round. If they go in search of bamboo to eat

they move from warm rain forests to snowy mountains, so the two colours

help them. The white helps them to blend into snow surroundings and the

black helps them to hide in shady forests. The black ears might look

cute but they are actually a warning to other predators. They are a sign

of aggression. Number three, the famous panda eyes. These patches are

unique. They vary in shape and size from pander to pander. It is thought

they help them to recognise each other. Why are they black and white?

It is all about blending in, scaring away predators and getting to know
