Good morning.

0:00:050:00:07

It's Saturday the 7th of May.

0:00:070:00:08

I'm Ricky with Saturday's Newsround.

0:00:080:00:18

First, huge wild fires are continuing in Fort McMurray

0:00:200:00:22

in Alberta, Canada.

0:00:220:00:23

No-one's been killed but many parts of the city have been destroyed

0:00:260:00:29

and officials say the fire could double in size

0:00:290:00:31

in the next 24 hours.

0:00:310:00:34

People who live there are leaving, but the fires have meant one

0:00:340:00:37

of the roads has become too dangerous to travel on.

0:00:370:00:40

Hundreds of sick and injured servicemen and women

0:00:400:00:42

are getting ready to compete in the Invictus Games,

0:00:420:00:44

which start this weekend in Florida in the US.

0:00:440:00:54

One Team UK competitor is former guardsman Lamin, who was

0:00:550:00:57

injured in Afghanistan.

0:00:570:00:58

I've been to meet his 12-year-old son Musa who is going

0:00:580:01:01

with him to the games.

0:01:010:01:02

A message?

0:01:020:01:03

Oh, from Michelle.

0:01:030:01:04

The Invictus games already has the royal seal of approval.

0:01:040:01:06

Be careful what you wish for.

0:01:060:01:09

Even the US President Barack Obama is ready for action.

0:01:090:01:11

Really?

0:01:110:01:12

Please.

0:01:120:01:14

Boom.

0:01:140:01:19

The games begin on the 8th of May in Orlando in America and will

0:01:190:01:22

see injured servicemen and women from all over the world go

0:01:220:01:25

head-to-head in a whole host of different sports.

0:01:250:01:29

Prince Harry came up with the idea of the games two years ago.

0:01:290:01:32

12-year-old Musa's dad is taking part.

0:01:320:01:42

Lamin lost both his legs and an arm during the war in Afghanistan.

0:01:420:01:45

When we were just sitting down and watching football,

0:01:450:01:49

he came in with his wheelchair, he came running fast,

0:01:490:01:51

and said, "I'm going to be in the Invictus games!"

0:01:510:01:54

How difficult is it for your dad to get

0:01:540:01:56

around everyday?

0:01:560:01:59

Life is hard for him because, you know, he doesn't get to

0:01:590:02:06

do most of the things a father would do with his son or his daughter.

0:02:060:02:09

He's just laying down.

0:02:090:02:10

He needs help to travel around.

0:02:100:02:12

He should be helping the children and the wife, but

0:02:120:02:14

instead are helping him.

0:02:140:02:15

He feels vulnerable.

0:02:150:02:19

Why do you think the Invictus Games are so important?

0:02:190:02:23

It's so important that we can help the wounded and the hurt

0:02:230:02:26

to know that they have a meaning in this world.

0:02:260:02:28

Not that they're just hurt and they can't do anything.

0:02:280:02:30

So, Musa, there's one last thing for us to do, isn't there?

0:02:300:02:38

Should we wish your dad the best of luck?

0:02:380:02:40

Let's go.

0:02:400:02:41

BOTH: Good luck, Dad.

0:02:410:02:42

Boom!

0:02:420:02:46

Finally, to some fantastic pictures from the deepest place on earth -

0:02:460:02:49

the Mariana trench.

0:02:490:02:50

It's about seven miles under the Pacific Ocean

0:02:500:02:52

and because it's so deep, not a lot is known about the area.

0:02:520:02:55

Cameras have captured creatures like jellyfish,

0:02:550:02:56

ghostsharks and rabbit fish.

0:02:560:02:58

We're back right here just after midday.
