The world's longest aircraft prepares to take flight.

And we've got the ones to watch out for on day tow of the Olympic Games.

First up, it's only Day Two of the Rio Olympics

and Great Britain already has a new world record

in the swimming pool.

But there was also disappointment as some of Team GB's

brightest medal hopes failed in their bid for Olympic glory.

Ricky is in Rio with all the details.

Hello from Rio, Ricky here.

Day one is done and it has certainly thrown

up a few surprises.

It's been really hot today here in the Olympic Park,

temperatures have reached more than 30 degrees.

It is so hot!

But that's enough about that, let's talk about the sport.

In the aquatic stadium, Adam Peaty,

who is only 21 years old, broke a world record.

Yep, he swam his heart out

in the men's 100 metres breaststroke.

He's now qualified for the final.

Tomorrow I'm hopefully going to move on a bit more.

I feel there is something more in the tank

but I want to save myself for that

and hopefully, you know, get that investment of all that work

I have done these past seven years.

So many people congratulating me there.

It is crazy and that is what it's all about, the Olympic experience.

Adam's roommate here in Rio, James Guy, didn't pick up

a medal in the 400 metres freestyle.

Hannah Miley missed out on a medal

in the women's individual 400 metres medley.

There was some disappointment for Team GB in the cycling

as Chris Froome, who only recently won the Tour de France,

was unable to pick up a medal here in Rio.

And in judo, Team GB's Ashley McKenzie fought back

the tears as he narrowly lost by a single point.

Now, what I love about the Olympics is that it always throws up

some amazing stories.

Vietnam have never won a gold medal before,

but that has all changed.

On Saturday, they won their first ever gold so imagine

how they are celebrating in Vietnam right now.

Plenty more drama to look forward to.

We've got fencing, hockey, and even more swimming

as the Olympics continue.

Brazil! Brazil! Brazil!

And we've been asking what you'll be watching -

Chloe says, "I'm looking forward to the sprinting because I love

to sprint and it amazes me how fast some of the athletes can run."

Evie says, "I am looking forward to the equestrian event

because my favourite riders are in it."

whilst most of us are asleep.

Swimmer Adam Peaty is already

the world European and Commonwealth 100 metre breaststoke champion,

and there are high hopes he will add Olympic gold to that list.

The mighty airlander has been brought out of its hangar,

ready for its first flight.

More tests are needed before it takes to the skies.

Here's everything you need to know.

Part plane, part airship, part helicopter.

This is the world's longest flying machine.

It has a giant helium gas-filled balloon,

with a special shape to help it fly.

The team behind it boast it can stay in the air for three weeks

and it could potentially carry hundreds of people.

I want to get on this thing and fly pole to pole,

and we will fly over the Amazon at 20 feet.

We will fly over, you know, the world's greatest cities.

We'll show the whole world, live on the Internet,

exactly how beautiful this planet is.

They also say it could do a lot of tactical good.

-- practical good.

Its size and the fact it can land pretty much anywhere

means that it could be used to deliver vital aid

to areas hit by natural disasters.

Just how big is it?

It's 92 metres long -

that's almost 20 metres longer than the biggest airliner.

It's equal to nine double-decker buses lined up.

Its first flight date hasn't been announced yet, so watch this space.

The build up to next week's Premier League ramps up today,

with the Community Shield at Wembley.

FA Cup winners Manchester United have won it more times

than any other club, but today they're going up

against Premier League champions Leicester City.

Not friendly!

When is the Community Shield friendly?

Never.

Of course, we will give the maximum.

And I think also Manchester will give the maximum.

It will be a true, true, true match.

The two teams want to win the cup.

It's not a training session against another team, it's a game.

And I think, especially for the players

that were involved in last season,

I think for them it must have a meaning.

Because to play the Community Shield,

you need to be champion or you to win the FA Cup.

And they won the FA Cup.
