Hi, I'm Ricky with Friday's Newsround.

And we speak to Kevin Simm ahead of The Voice final.

It was a huge night for people in the gaming world last night.

A special Baftas took place in London to award the best

games in the business, including in the family category.

The BBC's Chris Foxx went to the event and sent us this

from the red carpet.

Well, usually when a red carpet is rolled out like this

and there is a very posh award ceremony, it's for movie stars.

But tonight, it's the people who work behind the scenes making

some of your favourite video games that are nominated for awards.

And a lot of people play them - one in five of us plays video games,

so it's not just young people.

Let's have a chat with the host Dara O Briain.

What makes an award-winning video game?

Well, they're so varied, it's difficult to narrow down to one

thing but there's that rush of excitement, there's

the adrenaline thrill of having the story slowly unfold,

of small achievements leading to greater achievements,

and we've all done this.

Just the pizzazz and the sheen of it, as well.

We give awards for the music and the graphics and everything,

and for the design.

And also for games you play as a family.

And the hugest thing in that sphere for the last while has been one

called toys to life, which is those boards

where you place a small toy and it would appear on the screen.

Lego Dimensions is one of those and some people have played

with Disney Infinity and there is a lot of those kind

of games are nominated as well.

So that will be as hard fought as any.

And the BAFTA for family goes to...

Rocket League.

And here we are with the winner of the best family game.

You actually got three awards and you can't carry them all.

Dave, what's it like winning all these awards?

It's absolutely amazing.

We didn't expect anywhere near this level of success but I'm just happy

that everybody else is enjoying the game as much as we are.

What would you say to anyone who is thinking of getting

into games design?

Oh, I mean, just follow your dreams on that.

I started having, you know, no idea how to get into the game

industry and I just started modding games and it just

kind of led from there.

Footie now, and with two wins in Euro 2017 qualification already,

England's women are preparing to face Belgium tonight

in their next qualifier.

All this week we've been asking you to send in your questions

for the Lionesses' most-capped player,

Fara Williams, and goalkeeper Karen Bardsley.

And now we have their answers.

You make so many sacrifices to be a footballer.

I've kind of put everything into being a footballer and probably

didn't think if I didn't make it what I'd be, so now I enjoy

coaching, so probably a coach.

I'd probably either be a graphic designer or I'd probably work

at Disneyland.

I don't know.

It has to be Kelly Smith.

I think her balance, her skill, her decision-making,

and she's England's record goal-scorer so,

for me, she is the best.

My role model was Peter Schmeichel.

When I was a kid, he was just the most commanding goalkeeper

around and I wanted to emulate him in every way, and you can see

that his son is playing just as well as he used to then.

Do you feel like you're underestimated because

you're female?

Yeah, definitely.

If people start talking about football, immediately

their first instinct is to talk about men and I think if people

previously have seen women's football on TV, they're just

going to immediately think that it's a lower standard,

and it's not, so that is kind of annoying at times.

I'm encouraging people to watch more women's football, so they can

appreciate how talented and technically gifted

we actually are.

It's the final of The Voice this weekend and with so much to gain,

I caught up with finalist Kevin Simm to find out what life has been like

since he entered the competition.

Kevin, the final is this weekend, The Voice final.

You've made it.

How are you feeling?

I didn't expect to get this far, so it's just all been

a bit of a whirlwind.

You were in a band when you were younger, called Liberty X.

Do you think of those days fondly at all?

I look back at it all with a lot of pride.

No embarrassment?

Cos the videos were different to the kind of videos you see today.

You look at yourself and you think, "Oh, I shouldn't have worn that,"

or, "I should've gone to the gym a bit more," and things like that.

But no, I mean, it was an amazing experience and I'm very lucky

to have had that.

Have you enjoyed actually singing live again?

The experience of it all has been brilliant,

cos the place is, like, buzzing and, obviously, I get

on very well with all the other contestants as well,

so it's just been really good fun.

Like a family sort of atmosphere.

You said you've got kids.

Do they realise what's going on at the moment,

that you're on The Voice and that Dad is doing really well?

They obviously love seeing me on the television but I think,

to be fair, they like seeing themselves on television

a little bit more.

But no, they know Daddy's a singer and they think Daddy lives

on the stage, so they're definitely rooting for me.
